** DramaticIrony for Rubrum, who was convinced by Hilda to help the Bloodliner Prince with his plans. He's certain they'll eventually make the world a better place for him and the rest of his siblings, so what happened to John Archer won't happen to anyone of them, unaware of the ''real'' implications.

[[AC: Meta]]
* Chapter 26's end has a section left to it discussing the author's view on {{Creator/Toonami}}'s dropping of ''Manga/OnePiece'' for ''Manga/TokyoGhoul''. It mostly goes into the author's view of how a series he likes, where the world for all it's dangers is filled with hope, is replaced with a series where the series with little hope at all. In a reference to Linkara, he notes that [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall Kaneki's life is a never ending spiral of misery and death]], which honesty depresses him with the world of today. It's not spoken, but it's clear that the politics of 2016 and 2017 weigh on the guy. One Piece's dropping just made the issues surface.
-->'''Cross''': A world of hope even in despair, replaced by a world where even hope is tinged with so much darkness that it might as well be despair.
* The Chapter 36 omake actually ended on a somber note on the nature of fakemons and original characters from incomplete and dead fics and how quickly they are forgotten
-->'''Cross''': Sadly, they weren't [[FanFic/MyImmortal prep-hating goths]] or [[FanFic/MyBravePonyStarfleetMagic insistent on only having a single character trait]]. Then they might live forever and everywhere. Instead this may just be their last appearance in anything that was vaguely relevant.
* The Oak & Hastings Gaiden is a oneshot devoted to the titular scientists' achievements in making the Pokémon World a better place, with special focus to their developing friendship with each other. Two days before it was posted, Creator/UnshoIshizuka, the Japanese V.A of Professor Oak and the narrator from day one in the anime, passed away.

* Before that, there's also when Red's Clefairy, [[NotSoDifferent recognizing what his clone is going through]], makes a sincere attempt to reach to him so he can help. Then Fraxure, misunderstanding his intentions, attacks Clefairytwo, and he doesn't realize [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone until it's too late and the damage is done.]]

** Beyond that, it's quite sad to see the more villainous turn Sabrina took in this reality in general. While Canon Sabrina caused a lot of trouble for Ash and friends, Haunter was able to get her to open her heart and become a better person quite easily. By contrast, Reset Sabrina is not only much more villainous and dangerous than her old counterpart, but seems downright uninterested in changing her ways even after peeking into Ash's memories of the old timeline and seeing what her previous self was like.
