* BothSidesHaveAPoint: The case in "The Blue Night of Jeju." The temple charging a toll for use of the road going through their preserve isn't really fair, even if the toll itself is pretty cheap, as the road itself is technically public, and there's no way for someone who isn't willing to pay to legally turn around and take a different route, thus putting people in a position of either committing a traffic violation, or coughing up the money. On the other hand, the temple ''badly'' needs the income, and the road ''does'' go through their private property. When the team meets the monks living there, it's obvious that they feel a bit gross about charging a toll, but don't see many other options in order to keep the place open, and the temple itself is a beautiful and important religious site. Young-woo is at a loss as to what is the "right" thing.

Young-woo fixes her up with Min-sik, who is indeed a very sweet man, but he's so nervous he ends up speaking exclusively in food-related puns, which leads to Su-yeon bailing on him.

* AdultHater: Surprisingly downplayed by Bang Gu-ppong. He openly considers the education system and even most parents to be the inherent enemy of children's wellbeing, and encourages his "charges" to subvert and rebel against their parents' rigid expectations. However, he's perfectly cordial to everyone, even [[ApologeticAttacker apologizing]] to the bus driver he drugged and knocked out after the fact.

Added DiffLines:

* ApologeticAttacker: In order to commandeer a school bus, Bang Gu-ppong drugged the driver's tea so he'd pass out. When meeting him in court later, he politely apologizes and says his intent wasn't to hurt him; [[IDidWhatIHadToDo it was simply the only way he could take the bus]]. The bus driver does a DoubleTake, seemingly taken aback at his assailant's manners.

* CramSchool: Episode 9 centers on an elite and very involved academy that promises to set students up for success and pushes them to get stellar grades, but does so by keeping them until ten at night, not letting them have breaks or snacks, and only allowing two bathroom breaks per day. Oh, and at least some of the students are ten years old at the most. Young-woo and her colleagues are appalled by the way the children are treated.

* FriendToAllChildren: Bang Gu-ppong from Episode 9 manages to be this despite being a ''child kidnapper'', being fiercely devoted to his political cause of disrupting an education system that abuses and hurts its students. The students he temporarily kidnapped for the cause all ''adore'' him, and nothing makes him happier than seeing children smile and laugh.

Added DiffLines:

* TheKindnapper: Bang Gu-ppong, the client in Episode 9, kidnapped a busload of children on their way to school... specifically, an extremely harsh CramSchool whose methods cross into outright abuse, that leaves the kids with no time to play, socialize, or have any kind of fun. He gave everyone an opportunity to get off the bus if they didn't want to go with him, and when everyone chose to stay, took them all to a mountain area to spend the day playing games, singing, and enjoying the fresh air. Young-woo notes that while the parents are justifiably horrified by what happened (and what ''could've'' happened), the kids view the kidnapping as a very fond memory. [[spoiler:How many kidnappers get all their "victims" showing up to support him at the trial?]]

Added DiffLines:

** Despite initially not wanting to, Myung-seok and Min-woo do give themselves childish PottyHumor nicknames for the kids in Episode 9 to call them, seeing how much it makes the kids laugh. Surprisingly, ''Min-woo'' is the one who caves first.

While he's TheKindnapper, and Young-woo actually comes to agree with his ideology of children's liberation (if not his methods), she's more than a little exasperated by him admitting this ''in court''.

This "we're not friends" stance lasts approximately two minutes, and the two quickly become inseparable.
