* CallBack: Pietro is introduced as a close ally of Ironwood and, when he sees Yang, he exclaims that she painted the cyberarm. In the Volume 4 episode where Yang originally receives the arm, her father states Ironwood personally commissioned a state-of-the-art cybernetic arm without being asked. It arrives in an unpainted metallic form but Yang changes that to fit in with her preferred colour scheme.

I'm not sure why this was changed to Came Back Strong, given that she had the rocket booster ability in V3 as well. I've put it back to Back From The Dead, which is currently a ZCE. Call Black misuse; repalced with a genuine example. The protagonists didn't really need rescuing, so she was making a Dynamic Entry rather than a Big Damn Heroes one. The staff is very easy to see without any need to freeze frame, so removed for misuse. While Jacques is an example, the opening credits are not episode specific, so this should be troped elsewhere. Reality Ensues misuse: the trope is for when the narrative flow is interrupted by something 'real life'. The real life has to prevent the normal narrative process that should happen. The entire episode is building up to the heroes being arrested and their capture is even shown in the trailer advertising the volume. The expected narrative flow is therefore that they engage in acts throughout the episode that justify their capture at the end of it.

* BackFromTheDead: Penny has been rebuilt, much to Ruby's delight.
* BigDamnHeroes: Just as a Grimm is about to pounce on Blake, Penny appears out of nowhere and eliminates it.
* CallBack: Yang's bionic arm still has the burn mark from her fight with Adam.
** Blake's sword is still broken as well, forcing her to switch it to gun mode for the fight.
* CameBackStrong: As it transpires, Pietro Polendina ended up rebuilding and upgrading Penny during the Mistral arc, after the Amity Colosseum returned to Atlas. She's now capable of flight and works to protect Mantle.
* FantasticRacism: A drunkard in the streets of Mantle accosts Blake for saying their town looks awful, and starts to insult her over her Faunus nature until Weiss hurls him into a dumpster.
* FreezeFrameBonus: At the end of the opening titles, we see a brief flash of the Staff of Creation.
** Also in the opening, when a man throws a rock, at the hologram of Ironwood, he briefly turns in Jacques Schnee.
* GadgeteerGenius: Pietro Poledina, a master inventor who works alongside General Ironwood as well as helping out the locals of Mantle. He's revealed to be Penny's father, as well as the one who constructed Yang's bionic arm.
* TheGlomp: Once again, Ruby is subject to a painful version of this from Penny.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: The heroes defend Dr. Polendina's medical practice against a swarm of Grimm, only for them to be arrested since they do not have a Huntsman license ''and'' they disobeyed orders from Atlesian command to ditch their ship in Mantle.
* RealityEnsues: The heroes illegally enter Atlas using their stolen ship and ditch it in Mantle against orders from Atlesian command, and later use their weapons to defend Mantle from a host of Grimm. This catches the attention of the local authorities, who quickly bust the heroes.
* WretchedHive: Mantle is poor, grimy, and heavily monitored by soldiers. Blake gets accosted in the streets by a drunk man for saying the city seems awful.
