* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When Donald finally comes to Beakley for help, he's frantic and to the point rather than shunning her due to pride. In turn she stops smiling on realizing the danger of the situation. Later Donald, OverprotectiveDad and NervousWreck, ''leaps on the two Beagle Boys'' and beats the tar out of them.

* AbsenteeActor: Launchpad is the only main cast member that doesn't appear in this episode.

* SwissCheeseSecurity: Crossed with AdultFear. Funso's has a very reasonable rule that no adults are allowed inside unless accompanied by a minor, but this rule is only enforced by a greeter in a GoofySuit -- this despite the place being within walking distance of "the sketchiest neighborhood in town." There's no backup if the greeter is taken out, and not one employee notices when a criminal with a completely different build steals the costume. There's also no corresponding rule that minors are not allowed inside unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, so a kidnapped child might not be noticed for hours.

* AdultFear:
** Ineptness of the kidnappers aside, four children get captured during the day, in a "safe" Fun Zone, thanks to the criminals using a mascot costume to infiltrate it. Donald's OhCrap reaction after getting the ransom note is highly relatable.
** On the other side, Funso's reaction to the kidnapping is to undo the ban for life on the kids and offer tokens because they don't want a richly deserved lawsuit from Scrooge -- see SwissCheeseSecurity, below.

* CaughtIntheBadPartOfTown: Webby's misconduct on the bus winds up getting her and the triplets dropped off in the bad part of town. They don't run into any trouble while they're there, but the Beagle Boys spot them and wind up tailing them to their otherwise safe destination.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Burger and Bouncer visibly hesitate when Ma Beagle says they must ''mark their territory''. Keep in mind that they are anthropomorphic dogs.

%%* CurbStompBattle: Donald versus two Beagle Boys. They don't stand a chance, and Beakley is impressed.

After creating a big mess in Scrooge's mansion during a dart gun game, the boys take Webby out for a day of fun at Funso's Fun Zone, a playhouse where "the fun is in the zone". Webby, who has never spent any time outside the mansion, acts awkwardly on the bus they take, invading the other passengers' personal spaces. As a result, she and the triplets get thrown off the bus at the shadiest part of Duckburg, catching the attention of the Beagle Boys. Bigtime Beagle tells his brothers to stop their current heist and follow the nephews to Funso's, as Scrooge would pay a great sum to get them back.

At Funso's, Webby's behavior causes further trouble, endangering the other guests and getting herself and the triplets a lifetime ban. The security guard asks the playhouse's costumed mascot to throw them out, not knowing that the costume hides the Beagle Boys who proceed to kidnap the children.

Meanwhile, Donald and Mrs. Beakley get into an argument over her house rules and Donald decides to live in his boat outside. As their conflict escalates, Donald receives the ransom note from the Beagle Boys, and, putting away their conflict, teams up with Beakley to rescue the children.

Back at Funso's, Ma Beagle shows up and scolds her children, telling them that Scrooge is too cheap to pay ransom for his great-nephews and Webby. As punishment, she locks up Bigtime Beagle with the children. However, Webby escapes and defeats Bigtime, telling the nephews she could have done that easily but she didn't because she wanted to be seen as normal. The nephews encourage Webby to set up a trap for Ma Beagle. As Donald and Beakley show up to rescue the children, they find that they have already rescued themselves. Donald and Beakley reconcile, and the nephews get their ban from Funso's lifted so that the place can avoid getting a lawsuit.

* SarcasticConfession: Donald thinks Beakley joking about being a spy is this. Halfway through the ensuing laughter, he stops and gets a look on his face that clearly says, 'wait, that actually sounds plausible'.

* RealityEnsues: As Ma Beagle points out, someone like Scrooge [=McDuck=] would've never become the richest duck in the world by giving in to ransom demands and makes her sons understand kidnapping Scrooge's nephews and Webby is a surefire way to get Scrooge or his unstoppable ally Mrs. Beakley coming after them.
