* ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyo'' has two examples: In all of her appearances, Harpy goes barefoot (though as she's a winged humanoid, she never needs to touch the ground with her feet). Rulue, the [[ActionGirl "Fighting Queen"]] appeared unshod for the first three games (possibly to keep in line with being a {{Kick Chick}}); however, starting from YON (and previously in Madou Monogatari for Saturn), she wears sandals.

** Also famously in the "technically footwear but with feet as exposed as possible" column is [[https://fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/File:FEH_Myrrh_01.png Myrrh]] of ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones Sacred Stones]]''. Myrrh does have "sandals", but these are clearly designed to expose as much of her feet as possible and invoke the general feeling of the trope (what with her being a mystical dragon-child who helps establish the real danger the heroes are in), especially since she's the ''only'' member of the cast who has exposed feet at all.

[[https://fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/File:FESS_Tethys.png Tethys]] is the only other cast member who even comes close, and somehow her slippers still manage to feel more "shoe-like". (Rather notably, though, Myrrh's alternate outfits in ''Heroes'' do have her shift to more traditional shoes, and in one case ''full-leg hosery'', without any comment either way.)

** The ''original'', and initially most notable, example in ''FE'' was Linde from ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemMysteryOfTheEmblem Mystery of the Emblem]]''; her [=90s=]-era art consistently portrayed her as being [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/c/c3/LindaFE3.png/revision/latest?cb=20170416180349 totally barefoot]]. This was very much meant to convey a MagicalBarefooter vibe, since she was also generally Team Marth's strongest spellcaster. Later depictions of her moved over to the "downplayed with very exposing sandals" version, giving her something that technically qualified as "footwear" while still very much keeping the spirit of the trope and original design.

* Every game where the CharacterCustomization is at least half-decent, [[VirtualPaperDoll mainly regarding the outfit]], will most likely allow you to go barefoot at all times. Of course, depending on the game it can be very unwise to do so as you might miss out on valuable stat boosts. However, some games get around this by allowing you to equip a "cosmetic outfit" that will show on your character regardless of what you actually have equipped, so you can enjoy the defense boost provided by your enchanted +10 [[MadeOfIndestructium Indestructium]] Boots while still appearing to be barefoot.

** Also from ''V3'', we get another downplayed example with Kaito Mamota, the Ultimate Astronaut--he always wears house slippers and with the exception of his pre-game sprite, is never shown wearing normal shoes. Interestingly, the art book lampshades the impracticality of this decision, confirming this to be a personal preference on Kaito's part. Also humorously lampshaded in LetsPlay/NicoB's playthrough of the game, when Kaito starts chasing [[TokenEvilTeammate Kokichi]].
-->'''Nico!Kokichi:''' What the hell, Kaito, aren't wearing like, sandals or something why are you so fast?\\

** The Kyrians in the Shadowlands mostly wear footwraps that just leave their toes exposed, though some of them wear plate boots. Their archon, Kyrestia, is the only one whose feet are completely bare. The spirit healer could arguably be another barefoot Kyrian, though she's only ever seen when the player dies somewhere outside the Shadowlands, without being in a dungeon or raid.
