* The ever-cheerful Jack Skellington is the "King" of Halloween Town, and by extension the representative for Halloween itself. As its most skilled monster, Jack essentially runs the town, and therefore is responsible for organizing Halloween every year, preparing various tricks and spooks for the holiday. While incredibly friendly and caring towards the residents, he often feels bored by the repetition of doing basically the same thing every year, and yearns for something different to spice things up. One Halloween, he seemingly gets his wish when he stumbles upon Christmas Town and discovers Christmas, promptly launching a scheme to replace Santa Clause for the year so that he can finally do something different. While initially successful at taking over, his attempt at Christmas ends in disaster, and he realizes how badly he screwed up and rushes to fix his mistake, managing to save Santa Clause from being killed by the sadistic Oogie Boogie. Having gained new ideas for the next Halloween, Jack resumes his original job with a now-returned passion, albeit never quite losing his desire to make every Halloween more interesting than the last.

* While traversing the Trees and Flowers sub-house, he happened to stumble upon half-brothers Wirt and Greg. Wirt practically ''screamed'' in terror of having to deal with another skeleton -- especially one associated with pumpkins. When asked why, Wirt explained that one of the places he and Greg visited was Pottsville, where the villagers there were skeletons who wore pumpkin costumes and led by their leader, Enoch. Intrigued, Jack decided that he was going to do another celebration based on these friendly skeleton folk, much to Wirt's horror.
** However, this friendliness ended up being useful when Jack learned of The Beast and how he tried to turn Greg into a tree. Jack's only words were to tell the Beast that he is going to regret crossing paths with the Pumpkin King.

A legendarily NiceGuy would have an enormous heart that could give rise to such a powerful Heartless that all available heroes went out of their way to prevent this. Despite [[Pantheon/LightAndBrightness Sora]] saving him from this, he's still not on the nice list (but NOT the naughty list) since he told everyone he didn't believe in Santa at age eight, it remains to be seen if future events rectify this.

* As one of the Pantheon's most well-known {{Friendly Skeleton}}s, Jack's kindness has earned him a plethora of bare-boned buddies, often hanging out with them on the rare occasion that he isn't looking for ideas for Halloween. Papyrus is shown to think that Jack is "extremely cool", with him often showing Jack his puzzles in an attempt to impress him. His brother Sans also finds him good company, with the two trading skeleton puns whenever they meet up, to Papyrus's dismay. The infamous Dancing Skeletons highly amuse Jack, and he's often invited them to Halloween Town to entertain the civilians, even at times joining in himself for fun. Sir Daniel Fortesque is admired by Jack for saving his kingdom from an evil sorcerer, especially since he had to work for his initially unearned reputation as a hero, and has usually lent a hand in defending Halloween Town from any attacks. Not all skeletons that he met were friendly, however: one skeleton he approached, the giggle-happy undead pirate Spinal, attempted to kill him so he can add him to his crew of the damned. Luckily, Jack had packed his [[WhipItGood Soul Robber]] with him that day and proved to be a match against the pirate with his agility and weapon, eventually driving him off after a tough battle.

* On Halloween, he performed a spectacular macabre performance that made the audience gasp in awe and in horror which also involved the use of Heartless who were going along just for the heck of it. Having this type of skill made the gods give Jack his own temple...as long as he didn't try to take over any other holiday (ESPECIALLY Christmas).

She's still allowed to go watch his shows and cheer him on, as long as he's careful not to let her get too much into the act.
* Has been seen in the House of Magic more than once, learning new ways to twist mundane spells into fantastical and confusing abilities so he can use them to show off as well as fight.
* Took him a while to realize that Oogie was in the pantheon. Jack Skellington was '''livid'''. Fortunately, Oogie can't form any more memories due to a mishap of Maleficent's magic, which Jack finds as a fitting punishment.
** When Jack learned that Neyla has taken advantage of Oogie's disability and manipulated him into her own bidding, he began a plan to stop her before more damage could be done.
* Like with many others who've served as party members, if Jack is paired with Sora, the two can perform the Dance Call LimitBreak. However, it's shown that Jack can perform Dance Call with others, though so far, he's only done this with Alice.
* [[Literature/JamesAndTheGiantPeach Back in 1996]], Jack tried to recruit some undead pirates for his Halloween festivities, but they were mistaken as villains and defeated by a Centipede, a spider, and a crocodile tongue-transformed boy. He says he only attacked because they tried to steal a compass, and if they had just asked, he would be more than glad to give it to them. Jack is no longer in contact with the crew, out of disgust for what [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe almost happened]] to Mr. Centipede.
** Following James's ascension into the pantheon, Jack apologized for attacking Mr. Centipede and explained his side of the story. Jack and James are on good terms now.
* Has a cordial relationship with Coraline Jones, with both having their movies made by Henry Selick.
* Every Halloween, Jack has been seen interacting with a peculiar [[Film/TrickRTreat trick-or-treater wearing a burlap sack]]. When asked who it is, Jack simply smiles and refers to the child as "an old friend".
