* UsefulNotes/TheAuteurTheory: Not a fan. In Part 2 of her video series on film theory as explained with the ''Film/TransformersFilmSeries'', she describes it as a "celebration of egomania", seeing it largely as an attempt to create an entire field of academia to justify the self-importance of a clique of {{Prima Donna Director}}s. She does admit, however, that it has some good points, most notably with directors having certain key themes that show up throughout their bodies of work, the idea that it's more important for a film to be interesting than just conventionally good, and with how its proponents led the way in trying to get film recognized as TrueArt.

* BleachedUnderpants: Part of the reason why she takes great joy in trashing Disney so much is that they never admit to doing anything wrong and just hides embarrassments away.

* {{Bishonen}}: Creator/LeonardoDiCaprio is so goddamn pretty, pale and puppy dog eyed he almost looks like an anime character at some points.

* ChickFlick: She has a whole month of Meg Ryan movies to prove to the Makeover Fairy that she's girly enough to stomach them. She manages two and then craves some ''Film/{{Transformers}}''.

** She had her own on Website/{{facebook}}. Doug asked the viewers who they thought TGWTG people would be if they were ''Franchise/XMen'' characters. She (in-character) responded that she'd be ComicBook/{{Mystique}} and Todd would be ComicBook/{{Nightcrawler}}, before realizing that's not a particularly good comparison to make.

** ComicBook/{{Wolverine}} is only second to Franchise/SpiderMan as Marvel's fattest cash cow.

* DysfunctionJunction: The star is a neurotic sociopath, her sidekick is an abused ButtMonkey that is in danger of going evil if she takes her glasses off, and the cast also includes (or has included) a SexBot that wants to die, a fairy that tortures people through makeovers, a SmallNameBigEgo MadScientist [[PsychopathicManchild Psychopathic Womanchild]], an AnythingThatMoves rapist and the occasional cameo from a [[WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic pathetic wreck]] who brings the {{Tsundere}} in the above mentioned sociopath.

** ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}'' was better done by both ''Film/{{Superman}}'' and ''Film/{{Rocky}}''. Also inverted; ''WesternAnimation/TheEmperorsNewGroove'' did ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}'' better.

* AcceptableTargets:[[invoked]]
** Pointed out InUniverse. ''WesternAnimation/{{Mulan}}'' can get forgiven for bad implications because the Huns don't exist anymore.

* FandomHeresy: [[invoked]] Having said that she actually quite likes the much maligned 2005 film version of ''Film/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'', she challenges ''Guide'' fanboys to a fight if they have a problem with it.

* AcrophobicBird: The bird not giving WesternAnimation/{{Thumbelina|1994}} a lift and [[IdiotPlot thus making the movie much shorter]] ''really'' pisses her off.

** As she grew up with the 1972 version of ''Literature/TheLorax'', the [[WesternAnimation/TheLorax 2012 remake]] was an extra horrific case of this.

** And in ''WesternAnimation/TheLorax'', when she founds out that the movie is dedicated to the Lorax's and the Once-ler's "bromance".

** The same thing happens in her review of ''WesternAnimation/TheLorax'', although that drives her to DrowningMySorrows and not a parodied DespairEventHorizon.

* ArmorPiercingSlap: She cheerfully thanks the movie when WesternAnimation/{{Anastasia}} slaps Dimitri.

* CourtroomAntics: When people throw things at Beast in ''Franchise/XMen'': "Hey, who let the assholes into the courtroom?"

** The title card for the "Top Ten Hottest Animated Men" shows the very pleased Chick getting a show from shirtless [[WesternAnimation/XMen Nightcrawler]], WesternAnimation/{{Megamind}}, [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast the Beast]] and... [[WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}} Hades]].

** In the ''Film/{{Supergirl}}'' review, she fixes the camera with a hard glare after commenting on how "odd" the villain's quest to manipulate boy minds is.

* {{Corpsing}}: The Chick once did a tribute video to Team [=NChick=]'s tendency to nearly laugh while in a scene. Out of all of them, Lindsay is probably the most guilty of this, particularly in crossovers with the boys (especially with her RL boyfriend WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows). You can see this happen in her video "''Film/SleeplessInSeattle'' vs. ''Film/WhenHarryMetSally''" as well as the outtakes for her ''Film/FreddyGotFingered'' video with [[WebVideo/BrowsHeldHigh Oancitizen]].

** Her review of the 1994 film ''Film/RealityBites'' might be the angriest one she's ever done. She ''hated'' what she saw as its glorification of pretentious "[[CoolPeopleRebelAgainstAuthority rebels]]" who pointlessly hurt or patronize others just because they work for "TheMan", calling it "a completely un-ironic, ninety-minute version of '[[Music/TheLonelyIsland Threw It on the Ground]]'" and its protagonists a pair of {{spoiled brat}}s and all-around awful people whose problems are mostly trivial in hindsight.
