Should you dare to protest, the state police, which are little more than uniformed thugs with little oversight and bottomless pockets and the Kempeitai secret police will be more than happy to use military tactics against civilians to maintain order. And this is what Guangdong looks like at the start and it could get worse in the game with either Ibuka's Fujitsu, which takes a Social Darwinist perspective on the world, or Komai's Hitachi, which is openly inspired by Manchuria in its system, being able to make Guangdong even worse than it is at the start.
