* ElementalIgnorance: Kirie knows Fate is coming to capture Touta and she decides the best way to deal with him is to trap him in a place he can't escape from. What place does Kirie choose to imprison the powerful earth mage? An underground cave... Set 75 years after the end of ''Negima!'', in an AlternateTimeline, it explores a number of ambiguous or unexplored details left at the end of that series, such as the space elevator and the adoption of magic on earth. In the year 2086, magic is already a fact of life, having been revealed ten years earlier, allowing for an acceleration of technological progress culminating in the creation of a massive skyscraper that literally pierces the heavens.

** Kuroumaru tries to confesses to Touta in Chapter 99, who completely [[LoveYouAndEverybody misinterprets it]]. Kuroumaru tries to confess again in Chapter 151, only for Touta to not get it again until Kuroumaru admitting they have NoBiologicalSex gets it through Touta's thick head.

* FateWorseThanDeath: When you are an immortal you can survive things you really wouldn't want to. Like being eaten by a magical beast and having to endure thirty years of being digested, or having your head locked up in a safe and dropped down the Mariana trench while alive and conscious the whole time.

* AndIMustScream: With a lot of characters being immortal, this trope is surprisingly rare in the series, as though some characters are put out of commission for a long time (like three cases of {{Transflormations}}, and two of {{HumanPopsicle}}, they're usually not conscious during those times. Or if they are, they don't seem to care much for it, like Jinbei being "forgotten" in solitary confinement for [[TimeDissonance two years]] for stealing a piece of pudding. Except for one notable example. [[spoiler: In chapter 182, it is revealed that Karin has been flung into outer space at 0.1 Cee, and been flying at that speed for 43 years alone in space During that time, she slowly falls into despair and madness before resigning herself to her fate. However, 43 years is exactly enough time for her to reach the closest star, Alpha Centauri, and nearly falling into said star. It is notable that while her body is entirely indestructible, she still feels everything, meaning what awaits her is an eternity of being burnt alive at ludicrous heat for billions of years, [[FateWorseThanDeath and remain perfectly awake and conscious for it all.]]]]

* {{Fanservice}}: This being a work from Creator/KenAkamatsu and a sequel to ''Negima!'', it shouldn't be a surprise to see bath scenes and for some ClothingDamage to happen. The early chapters try to keep it a bit tamer compared to its predecessor due to having a smaller female cast, but as the manga begins to shift into harem tropes, the fanservice levels become similar to those of ''Negima!''. It then gets taken UpToEleven once the shift to monthly release occurs and entire chapters get devoted to Kirie getting naked and ending in several erotic situations with Touta.

* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:After suffering through longer than a normal human's lifespan, the main cast of Negima get the happy endings they all wanted, as Asuna, Chisame, Yue, Nodoka, Konoka, and Setsuna all get to consummate their relationships with Negi and have children. Meanwhile, Touta, Karin, and Kuroumaru all get to live for eternity in peace with the Lifemaker finally defeated until Evangeline finally returns and reunites with them]].
