* Some of the alternate suits for Kitana, Noob Saibot, Baraka, and Geras makes them look like Creator/DCComics characters. Moe specifically Catwoman for Kitana, the Batman Who Laughs for Noob, Killer Croc for Baraka (also an ActorAllusion, given Creator/SteveBlum, who voices Baraka, also (barring [[VideoGame/BatmanArkhamOrigins two]] [[VideoGame/BatmanArkhamUnderworld installments]]) voiced the ''Franchise/BatmanArkhamSeries'' version of Croc), and Darkseid for Geras.

* ''Manga/InuYasha'': Kagome's little brother Sota is dressed just like [[Manga/DetectiveConan Conan Edogawa]] for his date.

** Thanks to heavy PropRecycling, the two most stylish ladies in British '70s sci-fi television — the first Romana from ''Doctor Who'' and Servalan from ''Series/BlakesSeven'' — appear to share a wardrobe. The two most notably shared outfits are the purple military jacket suit and the white dress with the feathers.

* In the ''Magazine/DoctorWhoMagazine'' story "The Highgate Horror", Clara's period-specific Seventies outfit is a direct copy of that worn by Jo in the Seventies TV story "The Three Doctors". (According to WordOfGod, it was meant to be literally the same outfit, which Jo had left in the TARDIS wardrobe.)

* In the ''Series/{{Firefly}}'' episode "The Train Job", the Alliance soldiers are dressed in costumes recycled from ''Film/StarshipTroopers''. (To save money.) Similarly, the soldiers' suits were also used in ''Series/PowerRangersLostGalaxy''. Those costumes show up ''everywhere''. It's a testament to how sturdy the suits actually are. They were used in at least two TV shows and were eventually re-sold ''back'' to the production of the sequels.

* ''Manga/RosarioToVampire'': Moka, seeking help from a Chinese Mystic[=/=]{{cosplay}} fan, was required to don a Manga/UruseiYatsura styled [[http://www.tenmanga.com/chapter/RosarioVampireII29/227710-10.html tiger-striped 2-piece bikini and boots.]]

* From ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'', [[MeaningfulName Rufioh]] is a whole ''character'' reference to Rufio from ''Film/{{Hook}}'' and Creator/DanteBasco, in reference to Dante reading through Homestuck on tumblr and becoming a fan. Therefore, Rufioh's outfit is pretty much identical to Rufio's aside from the [[RubberForeheadAliens obvious species differences]].

* Once Flower from ''Webcomic/{{Wonderlab}}'' founds the [[spoiler:Bloom Office]] in the Epilogue, they wear an outfit that makes them highly resemble [[Franchise/SailorMoon Chibi-Usa]].

* Poe Dameron's outfit in ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker'' is very similar to the one [[VideoGame/{{Uncharted}} Nathan Drake]] wears in ''VideoGame/Uncharted3DrakesDeception''. * The toy line for ''Film/IronMan1'' had a figure for Iron Man's "[[ArcticAction Stealth Operations Suit]]", which looked exactly like Comicbook/WarMachine, who ended up appearing in [[Film/IronMan2 the sequel]].

* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse:

** In ''Film/IronMan3'', Comicbook/WarMachine sports Comicbook/NormanOsborn's Iron Patriot armor from ''Comicbook/DarkAvengers''.
** The ComicBook/CaptainAmerica suit in ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'' is an homage to the Commander Rogers outfit from ''Comicbook/SecretAvengers''.

* The ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' episode "The Magical Place" has Skye dress up like fellow agent and LivingLegend Melinda May in order to extract some info from a person of interest. Later, May takes notice:

** In ''Film/DieAnotherDay'', Jinx (Creator/HalleBerry) wears the bikini top, Shorttank and survival knife ensemble while doing a SexySurfacingShot which was made famous by Honey Rider (Creator/UrsulaAndress) in''Film/DrNo''. Spun into a MythologyGag when ''Bond himself'' (Creator/DanielCraig) wears the Shorttank and knife in ''Film/QuantumOfSolace''.

* In an issue of ''WebComic/LilGotham'', Comicbook/{{Katana}} investigates a suspicious street racing gang while wearing the Bride's yellow racing jumpsuit from ''Film/KillBill'' (which is thus also a second-hand reference to the Bruce Lee tracksuit).

* ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' has alternate colors that may invoke other characters. Kirby's white colors changed the colors of his eyes, cheeks and the inside of his mouth to be monochrome as he originally appeared on the colorless UsefulNotes/{{Gameboy}}, Pikachu and Jigglypuff and in ''Melee'', Pichu, are given accessories instead of alternate colors which slowly started referencing their origin series more as the series went on, ''Melee'' introduced Princess Peach and had the design on her dress, as well as hair color and skin-tone change to match Daisy rather than simply giving her a yellow alt, and ''Brawl'' also went this route by taking Link's black color scheme and making his skin pitch black and his eyes glowing red to simultaneously reference Dark Link and the Dark Interlopers that appeared in one cutscene and portrayed as a Dark Link in ''Twilight Princess'', as well as paying more attention to making the alternate colors of other characters more closely reference other costumes (Mario finally has Fire Mario, Snake has different camos rather than pure palette-swaps, Samus' alts reference her different suits, etc.)

** In ''Discworld/{{Maskerade}}'', the ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'' parody of ''Literature/ThePhantomOfTheOpera'', [[TheGrimReaper Death]] himself is wearing Erik's ''Literature/MasqueOfTheRedDeath'' outfit, with the only explanation being:

** Paul Kidby's sketch of Queen Magrat's complicated dress from ''Discworld/LordsAndLadies'' looks exactly like the dress worn by Elizabeth I in the Darnley portrait.

* In ''Film/TheFinal'', Emily's torturer costume, with its black leather smock and elbow-length gloves, is virtually identical to that of Asami in ''Film/{{Audition}}'', the only difference being that Emily is wearing a red shirt underneath instead of a white blouse and starts out with a WhiteMaskOfDoom to conceal her identity. For extra measure, the manner in which she tortures Bernard homages one of the most famous scenes in ''Audition'', complete with her saying "deeper, deeper" as she does it.

* ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy'': An early prototype design for Rosalina showed her wearing a dress and hairstyle similar to Disney/{{Cinderella}}'s.

* In an episode of ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfTheGummiBears'', Calla wears a dress that's just like Disney/{{Snow White|AndTheSevenDwarfs}}'s. No reason is given it looks like that, it just is.

* Two dresses worn by Courtney in the ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'' animated series (one being a princess dress in ''Action'', and the other being a wedding dress in ''World Tour'') resemble palette swaps of Disney/{{Cinderella}}'s iconic ballgown.

** Rainbow Dash dresses up as [[Disney/{{Hercules}} Megara]] to distract Zephyr Breeze in ''Sparkle's Seven'' for apparently no other reason than Ashleigh Ball [[AwesomeDearBoy wanted to dress Rainbow Dash up like Megara]].

* The GenderFlip episode of ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'' had Fionna wearing [[Anime/SailorMoon Princess Serenity's]] white gown.

* Poe Damaran's outfit in ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker'' is very similar to the one [[VideoGame/{{Uncharted}} Nathan Drake]] wears in ''VideoGame/Uncharted3DrakesDeception''. * ''Series/TalesFromTheCrypt'': The episode "[[Recap/TalesFromTheCryptS6E15YouMurderer You, Murderer]]" famously "starred" the late (digitally inserted) Creator/HumphreyBogart. The costar was Creator/IsabellaRosellini in a costume just like the one her mother, Creator/IngridBergman, wore opposite Bogart in ''{{Film/Casablanca}}''.
