** When the {{Whip|ItGood}} copy ability was first introduced in the series, it was always given by Whippy, a catlike WaddlingHead with a whip-tail. In ''VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot'', however, Whippy appears only once in one of the game's last EX stages. Whip is somewhat rare to find in ''Planet Robobot'' (it only starts showing up in the second half of the game) and its designated enemy is the newly introduced Wester, so the single Whippy comes across as a secret nod to the previous two games where it was more common.

They're otherwise completely absent from the level, [[spoiler: [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration and for good reason]], as the fact the Censors are working with the G-Men investigating the titular Milkman is a major twist]]. They are rare but not unique. Jockeys are random encounter so you can theorically encounter alot if you are lucky, while Zoglins require the player's help to appear so how rare they are is up to the player.

* ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'':
** Spider and Chicken Jockeys are extremely rare mobs consisting of [[PowerUpMount a skeleton riding a spider, and a baby zombie riding a chicken,]] respectively. You're very unlikely to encounter more than one in an entire playthrough, assuming you encounter them at all.
** [[RaisingTheSteaks Zoglins]], despite being classified as a Nether mob, can't be found anywhere in the Nether itself, and don't spawn naturally anywhere else. Getting one to appear actually requires players to push a Hoglin into a Nether portal, where they will turn into their undead counterparts in the Overworld. This is much more difficult than it sounds, as Hoglins are always hostile to the player, and they actively avoid hanging around near Nether portals.

* Speaking of, in ''VideoGame/Portal2'' there is one turret, known as the Oracle Turret, that behaves differently presumably because it's defective. You first encounter it stuck in a tube, where it cannot be reached, and it asks you for help as you pass. You later can save it from certain doom on the conveyor belt and, if you set it down it thanks you and begins making cryptic statements that foreshadow events of the game. [[HarmlessEnemy Even if you stand right in front of it, it will never shoot you]], and no other turrets behave this way.
