While the now cancelled game is called \"The Planet Gunsmoke\", the planet is officially named \"No Man\'s Land\" in the manga, so it could be both.

* [[{{Trigun}} Gunsmoke]], being a SingleBiomePlanet, already has long stretches of desert as far as the eye can see, but once flashbacks to the city of July start happening, this comes into play in an even worse way.

*In {{Batman Beyond Return of the Joker}}, the {{KillSat}} race between Terry in the Batmobile and Joker with the Halcyon-class laser weapons platform. It's an awesome action scene until you pause to reflect on the fact that Terry just overflew a local ''shopping mall''. Then consider the plan to burn a smiley-face into the city from orbit {{for the lulz}}, then add in the typical cyberpunk themes of urban decay and corporate-owned megastructures...

* American Mcgee's Alice has this in spades. It's hard to single out just one screenshot for comparison, but [[http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_g9A4qUX6pZ0/S9CIIt7pD2I/AAAAAAAAAhc/p1kq_m3rGoI/s1600/American_McGee%27s_Alice.jpg this]] pretty much sums up the mood of the new "Wonderland" created by Alice's unbalanced mind. The recently announced sequel should also be quite the [[http://web-vassets.ea.com/Assets/Richmedia/Image/Screenshots/AMR-04_SCREEN_656x369.jpg?cb=1279759579 charmer]], from the looks of the first screens.
