* The title character in ''Film/SonOfKong'' is an example, as this sequel leans even more heavily into the monster's sympathetic aspects than its [[Film/KingKong1933 predecessor]] did.

* ''Series/GameOfThrones'': Jon Snow's direwolf Ghost is an albino direwolf. The direwolf is the sigil of House Stark and the Stark children receive a direwolf each at the beginning of the series. While the direwolves belonging to Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon are shades of black, grey, and brown, Jon's direwolf is pure white. Ghost's albinism also has heraldic significance. Unlike the other Stark children, Jon is an illegitimate son and a custom very common in Westeros is for highborn, acknowledged illegitimate children like Jon to use the heraldry of their noble-born parent's House but with the colors inverted. For Jon, this means that his personal sigil is a ''white direwolf'' on a grey field.

* One story-book version of ''RobinHood'' describes Maid Marian as an albino. She hides in Sherwood Forest with a group of outcasts because the people believed she was [[EvilAlbino a witch because of her appearance]], but she is firmly in the good guy's camp. [[spoiler:Her son with Robin has white hair, as well, and the framing device for the story is a boy having a dream who also has white hair--it's implied he's their descendant.]]

* In a ''Literature/{{Dragonlance}}'' short story, there is an albino silver dragon. A knight thinks it is a white dragon and slays the creature.(The fact that white dragons have a cold/ice breath and silver dragons have a paralyzing breath aids the confusion. The knight realizes too late that when he couldn't move, he didn't actually feel cold.) After realizing he just slaughtered a being of pure good, the knight decides to care for the dragon's baby. Perhaps not actually a hero, but it is an albino creature that is completely good, killed because of the way she looks.
