* The whole of the {{Personifications}} subfandom run solely through character blogs of various personifications such as the [[EmbodimentOfVice Seven Deadly Sins]] and their [[EmbodimentOfVirtue opposites]].

* Several of the main characters from ''Series/{{Misfits}}'' have official facebook and/or twitter accounts. It was apparently the first tv series to use twitter in such a way, as it actually featured characters posting comments about the show's events during the original broadcast of the episodes, to maintain a sense of soliloquy. SmartGuy Simon also has a [[https://www.youtube.com/user/simonmisfits youtube account]], where he posts footage of the other characters that he has supposedly recorded himself (most of it is just-for-fun, supplemental stuff, but one or two of his videos are [[ChekhovsGun vital to the plot]]). They've stepped things up a notch since season 2 began. The characters use twitter to verbally abuse each other on a regular basis.

* ''Fanfic/TheStrexFamily'' is a large set of these, interacting with each other JournalRoleplay style or in the form of drabble fics. Occasionally a larger AU is spawned, although the most popular of those has been deleted.

* The English versions of ''[[LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya]]'' and ''Anime/LuckyStar'' both have Myspace accounts, from Kyon and Minoru respectively. They're apparently run by Bandai.

** Also, everyone in the study group has a twitter account, including [[EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys Annie's Boobs]].

** When ''Anime/Aggretsuko'' Season 3 premiered on Netflix in August 25th, 2020. Sanrio created an actual Youtube vlogging channel for the underground idol group OTMGirls. The channel features Manaka, Miggy, Hidarin talking about their lives and their personal experiences.
** "The Beatcats" is 5-piece Virtual Idol Unit starrring adorable cats and is Sanrio's first venture into the VirtualCelebrity trend that's been popular in Japan since the Main/TheNewTens. * ''Creator/{{Sanrio}}'' created an [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyof-1Ko_jy2sOtivyTpc4Q official Youtube Channel]] for ''Franchise/HelloKitty'' on December 29, 2018. The channel stars Hello Kitty with occasional guest apperances by other Sanrio characters such as Dear Daniel, Gudetama, and Mimmy. While the channel is in Japanese, it comes with English subtitles.

* The titular character of ''Panpaka Pants'' has both a Twitter account and an Instagram account.

* Amanda Waller started a blog (written by her creator John Ostrander) as a tie-in to the ''Film/GreenLantern'' movie.

* Not quite the same as a proper blog, but Mayor Dalton's Prostate has gotten its own Website/{{Facebook}} fan page after ComicStrip/RexMorganMD's discussions of the organ became a minor meme on Website/TheComicsCurmudgeon.
* Cooper from the print comic ''ComicStrip/{{Retail}}'' used to have one, and he mentioned Norm Feuti often, in a delicate mix of "reality" and comic reality. He also mentioned it in the strip, at [[[[http://retailcomic.com/comics/february-24-2007/ one point]] stressing it was a ''very real'' blog.

It's not without its pitfalls, however. It's much more difficult to hide things such as WriterOnBoard or CreatorBreakdown when writing a blog, and the assumed identity may slip from time to time. Conversely, a writer assuming the identity of a character with strong {{Jerkass}} tendencies has a fine line to walk between portraying the character accurately and using the fictional personality as an excuse to sneer at any fan who ventures a question via the blog. A lack of professionalism in the blog's writing may result in an extreme example of the {{GIFT}} in action.

The most popular edition was ''Renegade Rhetoric'', which was run by Cy-Kill from ''WesternAnimation/ChallengeOfTheGobots'', eventually continued as its own Facebook page and had the Renegade leader use his posts to describe the events from a fictional second season of ''Challenge of the [=GoBots=]''.

* Prussia in ''Webomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'' kept one on April Fool's Day until he dropped his ice cream on his laptop and broke it. The blog can be found [[http://www.hetarchive.net/scanlations/oresamanoblog/ here]].

** Ronaldo says in "Cat Fingers" he has a blog called "Blog/KeepBeachCityWeird". He takes a photo of Steven and his fingers with his camera phone in the episode, which is also posted on the blog. Ronaldo usually posts something to do with the newest episode ([[CoincidentalBroadcast even if this is a total coincidence]]), sometimes even updating ''in real time'' as the episode airs. Now ''that's'' dedication.
** Peridot [[https://twitter.com/PERIDOT5XG has a Twitter account]], which started updating throughout the West Cost premier of "Too Short to Ride" as she spent the episode posting on the in-show equivalent. Like KBCW, series of posts come out shortly after episode premiers, generally related to the episode's events.

* Several characters from both ''WebAnimation/HazbinHotel'' and its sister series ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' had Instagram accounts where official artwork was uploaded and presented as actual posts the characters had made. This included [[PopularWithFurries furry fan favorites]] Loona and Octavia, [[WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings the latter of which was bombarded with sexually explicit artwork of her (and on the squickier side, occasionally featuring her ''and her father''), leading to the account manager archiving the account in January 2021 and breaking character on both Stolas and Octavia's accounts to explain that they were incredibly uncomfortable with how the fandom was behaving.]]
