The trilogy has got a spin-off comic book series. Even though the fans have asked for a movie based on the trilogy, the author has long refused to share the rights of the books with film producers, but late in UsefulNotes/TheNewTens she relented enough to accept a deal with Creator/{{Netflix}} for the first book, which resulted in an AnimatedAdaptation titled ''WesternAnimation/TheIdhunChronicles''.

The story follows three children: Jack, Victoria and Kirtash, who are destined to [[SaveTheWorld save a world]] named Idhún from Ashran the Necromancer, who also happens to be Kirtash's father.
