'''''The Idhún's Memories''''' (originally ''Memorias de Idhún'') is a HighFantasy and ParanormalRomance trilogy written by the Spanish author Laura Gallego.

The story follows three children: Jack, Victoria and Kirtash, who are destined to [[SaveTheWorld save a world]] named Idhún from Ashran the Necromancer, who also happens to be Kirtash's father. From here, the story passes to include [[TheMultiverse multiverse switches]], [[OurDragonsAreDifferent dragons]], [[{{Unicorn}} unicorns]], [[SnakePeople sheks]] and [[OurGodsAreDifferent gods]].

The trilogy has got a spin-off comic book series. Even though the fans have asked for a movie based on the trilogy, the author has long refused to share the rights of the books with film producers, but late in UsefulNotes/TheNewTens she relented enough to accept a deal with Creator/{{Netflix}} for the first book, which resulted in a short-lived AnimatedAdaptation titled ''WesternAnimation/TheIdhunChronicles''.

!!These books (and comic books) contain examples of:

%%* TheAce: Victoria.
* AuthorAppeal: The protagonist is a green-eyed blond, just like the protagonist from Gallego's other trilogy ''Chronicles of the Tower''.
* AuthorAvatar: Officially, Victoria for Laura Gallego. She admitted herself that the trilogy's story started out as a fourteen years old girl daydream.
%%* BarbarianTribe: There is one in Idhún.
%%* BeautyIsNeverTarnished
%%* BigBad: Ashran, or rather [[spoiler:the Seventh God.]]
%%* TheChosenOne: The three lead.
%%* CreationMyth: Idhún has one, related to its six gods.
%%* DeusExMachina: Literally.
%%* TheDragon: Kirtash to Ashran, later replaced by Gerde.
%%* GiantFlyer: Both the dragons and the sheks.
%%* HealingHands: Healing magic takes this form here.
* HazyFeelTurn: Christian does a rather vague EnemyMine in order to get in the good side.
%%* HereThereWereDragons: But were killed by Ashran.
* IdiotHero: Jack is clearly not an intellectual type, and his approach to the war, as well as his relationship with Victoria, is often reduced to follow his HotBlooded nature. Not played for laughs, though.
%%* LizardFolk: The szish, as well as the Custodian. [[spoiler:Half -lizard in his case.]]
* MagicKnight: Kirtash is both a wizard and a swordsman, although Jack technically counts as well given that he wields a magic sword.
* NiceJobBreakingItHerod: Ashran the Necromancer uses an astral conjunction to wipe out all dragons and unicorns after hearing one of each will destroy him. Eventually, one baby dragon and unicorn are rescued and sent to the Earth through magic, which will end up killing him.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Justified. Ashran is an unusually minor mage for a HighFantasy BigBad, as he can't fuel the magic of his own tower without Victoria's help and the process requires him and Gerde to pour their combined power in a long ritual.
%%* OurDragonsAreDifferent
%%* PatchworkMap
* PrefersGoingBarefoot: Kimara and Gerde go barefoot, the former by tribal customs and the latter by preference.
* AProtagonistShallLeadThem: Subverted in that Victoria doesn't lead officially the Resistance, but almost as a gag, she is always right, while the wise Resistance leaders are always wrong.
%%* PurpleProse: Frequent in romantic scenes, and somewhat repetitive.
%%* LaResistance: The Idhunite Resistance.
%%* SorcerousOverlord: Ashran during the first book.
* TheVamp: Gerde is an expert in using her charms to get whatever she wants, and it only gets amped up when [[spoiler:she becomes the Seventh Goddess.]]
%%* WorldOfBadass: Both heroes and villains. There are few characters who cannot use either weapons or magic to kick plenty of ass.
