[[spoiler: She recovers and charges into battle, resulting in a major victory for Ansom's side. This stuns Wanda into a considerably more severe BSOD of her own.]]

* Hyacinth of ''SquidNinja'' has this happen a couple of times. Of Course, her TricksterMentor messing with her head doesn't help much.
* In ''{{Megatokyo}}'', after a dramatic conversation with Miho, Ping the RobotGirl ends up with all of her emotional statistics jumbled up.

* Parodied in ''ExterminatusNow!'' After hearing that an old friend of his is behind an assassination attempt on his boss, Eastwood goes into a trance and spends a few minutes repeating his name. His teammates take the opportunity to steal his wallet.

* Lilah's miscarriage in ''CtrlAltDel'' forces Ethan to go into HeroicBSOD mode. He spends the next several comics wandering around in a zombie-like state (the lack of sleep might have contributed to that), and was seen trying to get a soda out of a vending machine until moments later, when he says he's not even thirsty and that seeing Lilah inconsolable was far too much for him.
* Dan from ''DanAndMabsFurryAdventures'' experiences one of these in [[http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_529.php this strip]] due to a troubling suggestion.
* The innocent titular character in ''RiceBoy'' has to [[spoiler: travel the harsh wilderness, be dosed with liquid despair, learn cosmic secrets at the cost of other people's lives, see a hundred clones of himself spawned and cut down, and know that he must save the world and die. Suffering a HeroicBSOD he throws himself off a cliff ... into the next stage of his quest.]]

* In ''FletcherApts'', Doug often blanks out and mentally reboots when he sees a girl flash her breasts. Like in [[http://www.fletcherapts.com/archive/20060217.html this strip]], he forgot the answer to the homework problem he was talking about, and in [[http://www.fletcherapts.com/archive/20060331.html this strip]] his brain literally flashes a BSOD, causing Doug to forget his lesson and possibly the entire week beforehand.

* Kate of ''InstantClassic'' suffers one after learning that Orson Welles (whom she idolizes) voice acted in an anime (a genre that she regards as the lowest, least dignified form of filmmaking).

* Fumbles of ''{{Goblins}}'' experienced this twice. The first was when he [[spoiler: [[KickTheWrongDog injured an elven child]] and realized he had become as bad as adventurers]]; the second came after [[spoiler: [[KnightTemplar Goblinslayer]] [[ColdBloodedTorture carved the word monster into his forehead]] and he was left alone in the torture cell by his friends]]. * In PennyArcade, Tycho goes into one when he sees an ad for a place called "Gamez N Flix", which made the always elegant Tycho go mad.

* ''ItsWalky!'': During the strip's climax, Linda Walkerton was taken out of commission by [[spoiler: Her preserved, pre-resurrection corpse and the information that she'd died, been brought back, and manipulated into doing the will of Dargon Chesterfield and his compatriots, which turned her understanding of the most important moment in her life and the aftermath thereof on its head.]]

** "That Which Redeems": Zoë from the [[SugarBowl Dimension of Lame]] gets a few minor ones because her dimension's people hardly ever have to face any strife (until the LegionsOfHell invade their world, that is) and can't deal with it. The first time, she's saved from other demons by a friendly demon and kept tied up and silent by her until they pass; afterwards, she just stares with a shocked smile while Torg introduces the demon as a friend and suggests that she thank her, then her cheeks bulge, and then she lets out a huge scream. Later, when Torg, Zoë and that dimension's Bun-bun climb up to what they think to be the Demon King's abode and Torg is snatched inside immediately at the door, Zoë sits down and sits still, staring ahead, and pets Bun-bun, not responding to his questions. After Torg comes back unharmed, both Zoë and Bun-bun are caught staring transfixed again, this time at the demon who's just appeared on the roof.

He never completely ''stops'' being his goofy self after the ordeal and returning to his home dimension, but he is a lot angrier and mopier for a while, especially around [[spoiler:Zoe]].

* Hanners of ''QuestionableContent'' has one after learning [[http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1187 her underwear was showing]] while she was drumming-from both of her MALE bandmates.

*** I do believe that Marten sorta suffered from one when he and Dora broke up.

***** Marten's friend Steve (I think it's Steve) does this...only though in his case he ends up going on an adventure, becoming a spy and all that.....though I'm not sure if it happened, as it may have been a case of PutOnABus.

* Few of the cast of ''Webcomic/MenageA3'' really qualify as "heroic," but the writers seem to like using the comedy version of this trope...

** Zii seems to be blue-screening as she realizes that [[http://www.ma3comic.com/strips-ma3/like_any_other Erik may be more than a quick fling to her]], and goes through a more hysterical version after breaking Gary's prized [[Franchise/{{Transformers}} "Overlord".]] (Her idea of a solution is [[http://www.menagea3.net/strips-ma3/bad_for_his_character "bang his brains out"]], until [=DiDi=] [[GetAholdOfYourselfMan slaps some sense into her.]]) She also gets momentarily hysterical and then depressed (and maybe even thoughtful) when [[http://www.ma3comic.com/strips-ma3/not_that_i_care Peggy gets inside her head.]]

** [[http://www.stickydillybuns.com/strips-sdb/something_you_are_not_telling_me She suffers a brief, minor crash when her sister Amber asks if she is a lesbian]]. Apparently unable to process the idea, she [[ComicallyMissingThePoint semi-comically misses the point]], and assumes that Amber is ''confessing''. (Ironically, Amber was established to be bisexual in her previous appearances in ''Webcomic/MenageA3'', although her behaviour so far in this comic has been entirely heterosexual.)
