* Creator/FrankOz stated Creator/OrsonWelles [[https://twitter.com/TheFrankOzJam/status/975556865512935426 taught him a lesson]] after shooting his scene.
-->Orson invited me and Jim to dinner with his wife. Orson spoke beautifully that night. Memorably he said, "Some people create out of experience, I create out of innocence." That has become my mantra.
* Toughpigs' series of articles for the movie's 40th anniversary concluded with an [[http://www.toughpigs.com/frawley/ appreciation]] of its then-recently deceased director, James Frawley.
-->At his core, James Frawley was a playful artist with a strong sense of humor, but also an ability to urge his performers, whether they be Monkees or Muppets to slow down and take in what they were doing. Disney, the current owners of The Muppets, would be wise to revisit the work that James Frawley did on The Muppet Movie when looking at the directions that future projects could take. Maybe it’s time for The Muppets to take a trip back to the desert, sit around a campfire and contemplate who they are and why they’re here. I think James Frawley would have liked that.
* The screen tests for the various Muppets, which feature Jim, Frank, and the rest improvising several routines outside the purpose of the shots, which were simply to see how feasible putting the puppets in a movie was. Keep in mind that the Internet and DVD/Blu-ray were both a long way away at the time, and the crew had absolutely ''zero'' reason to think anyone but themselves would ever see this footage. But they still just couldn't help amiably goofing around like this, giving a big sign of what a close family they all were.

* The cameo from Creator/OrsonWelles when he gives the Muppets their break and their reaction, particularly Kermit's, afterwards. Made even more heartwarming when one considers that Welles's character, Lew Lord, was based on the man who helped Jim Henson into stardom, Lord Lew Grade.
** What really makes it is that Welles looks quite intimidating, making you worried that he's going to give them yet another hard time before the {{Foregone Conclusion}}. And then he simply tells his secretary to get the "standard rich and famous contract."

* Max's HeelFaceTurn after he realizes he cannot let his boss bring harm to Kermit and his pals, and goes so far as to disguise himself as a policeman at the risk of Hopper's wrath to warn Kermit of how far Hopper is willing to go to get his way. In the final confrontation, it is clear that Max has become completely disillusioned with his employer's obsession, and protests when Hopper prepares to have Kermit's entire gang killed. When they are finally all scared away for good by the enlarged Animal, Max is ecstatic and wishes the best to all the Muppets before also leaving the scene.
