*** The original Literature/TheRailwaySeries suggests the world Sodor exists in is very much like the real world, with the only difference being that vehicles can talk, and Sodor as an island well ''exits'' off the coast of England (west of Barrow-In-Furness and south of the Isle of Man to be precise). Real world people such as [[UsefulNotes/ElizabethII Queen Elizabeth]], Prince Charles, Princess Diana and railroad figures like Alan Pegler or Sir Nigel Gresley are all mentioned in the series along with series creator Rev. Wilbert Awdry and his friend Rev. Teddy Boston [[AuthorAvatar having important roles in the books]]. This carries over into WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends with the Royal Family and eventually the two Reverends appearing there as well multiple times... But in the context of Shining Time Station does this mean that Mr. Conductor's world on Sodor then ''has'' two feet tall versions of all these real people? Is there a whole parallel universe of two foot tall people just living their lives with talking trains that only Mr. Conductor has the ability to hop between it and the "real" world?
