* Given the example when Schemer combs down Schemee's curl as punishment for Schemee lying to his uncle, [[FridgeLogic why can't Schemee just comb his curl back up afterwards]]?
** I guess it's because of HonorBeforeReason. He's an honorable boy and will dutifully suffer the punishment even when he knows he can simply restore his curl to how it was before.
* The puppet...the piano player... NightmareFuel much?
** It's a choice of style. He's probably supposed to resemble someone famous, but this troper can't put his finger on it...
* Why couldn't Mr. Conductor just teleport out of the suitcase he was trapped in in "Finders Keepers"?
* Just exactly what the hell ''is'' Mr. Conductor? Was he always two feet tall? Is he some species of [[TheFairFolk Fay?]] The spirit of a human conductor, who was killed in the line of duty? A corrupt conductor who has been magically shrunk and soul-bound to the station as punishment for his crimes? A [[Film/ChildsPlay serial killer fatally shot by police why trying to hide in a train station, who managed to stumble to a train set in the lobby and use his Voodoo magic to implant his soul into the toy conductor?]] A victim of a lab experiment gone horribly wrong? A [[Series/DoctorWho Time Lord?]] A hallucination by a bored train station manager puffing something illegal to pass the time at her dull job? An advanced sentient locomotive that projects a holographic human likeness based on unlikely celebrities in order to interact with its human coworkers? One of [[Film/AntMan1 Dr. Pym's rejected proteges?]] One of Literature/TheBorrowers?
** ''WesternAnimation/ThomasAndTheMagicRailroad'' reveals the reason for his size. He lives on Sodor, and that's just how people are proportioned there. The movie shows both people and engines exiting and entering Sodor, and each time, they come out normally proportioned. Long story short, [[AWizardDidIt it's magic]].
*** So we don't have to explain it?
*** The original Literature/TheRailwaySeries suggests the world Sodor exists in is very much like the real world, with the only difference being that vehicles can talk, and Sodor as an island well ''exits'' off the coast of England (west of Barrow-In-Furness and south of the Isle of Man to be precise). Real world people such as [[UsefulNotes/ElizabethII Queen Elizabeth]], Prince Charles, Princess Diana and railroad figures like Alan Pegler or Sir Nigel Gresley are all mentioned in the series along with series creator Rev. Wilbert Awdry and his friend Rev. Teddy Boston [[AuthorAvatar having important roles in the books]]. This carries over into WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends with the Royal Family and eventually the two Reverends appearing there as well multiple times... But in the context of Shining Time Station does this mean that Mr. Conductor's world on Sodor then ''has'' two feet tall versions of all these real people? Is there a whole parallel universe of two foot tall people just living their lives with talking trains that only Mr. Conductor has the ability to hop between it and the "real" world?
