* Anything by LetsPlay/DeceasedCrab, really, especially his epic, [[http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/La%20Mulana/ sanity-straining LP]] of ''VideoGame/LaMulana''. Also recommended is his [[http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Cave%20Story/ LP]] of ''VideoGame/CaveStory'', with special bonus "Balrog Story". Notable for being one of two [=LPers=] who brought Let's Play to Website/YouTube. Huzzah!

* The LetsPlay/FreelanceAstronauts hail from Website/SomethingAwful, but are branching out with their very own site. The Astronauts consist of four commentators by the names of Maxwell Adams, Ferr, Evek and Pipes! each with their own unique opinion and voice on the various games played. Each week, at the Maxwell residence, most or all of the guys get together in person or via voice chat to play games whilst streaming to the Internet as well. The games range from classics like Lemmings, to newer hits like Resident Evil 4, and even horrible homebrew games such as the infamous [[http://freelanceastronauts.com/view.php?id=340 Ballion]]. With true wit, occasional guest commentary and Maxwell's strange encyclopedic knowledge of old game trivia, nearly every video has entertainment value, even if the game is poor.

** Another Website/SomethingAwful Paradox Let's Play worth checking out is Wiz's [[http://lparchive.org/Paradox-Hohenzollern/ Hohenzollern campaign]], which follows the Hohenzollern dynasty from 1066 to 1968, with a greater emphasis on roleplaying than the Jerusalem LP. The amount of work that went into crafting its story (extensive modding, top-notch historical writeups, regular fan participation, etc) must be seen to be believed.

* Found on Website/YouTube as simply "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in6RZzdGki8 Mario Frustration]]" features a playthrough of a Super Mario Bros. (NES) romhack with a hilarious dubbed voice-over, who calls out the absurdity of the level and slings several insults.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/user/SirRonLionHeart SirRonLionHeart]] is perhaps the ultimate Let's Player out there right now. He started out normally, but by the time he went 15 episodes into his ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'' LP he created a crazy accent and some cheesy but awesome catchphrases for himself and hasn't looked back since. He's only been around since February 2009 and has already gathered [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPX9ZMUMt8A ridiculous]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1C_Cr-2HZ4 love]] (and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtmSY3u9CUM small but vocal hate]]) among the Website/SomethingAwful community. It depends, but either way this guy will leave an impression on you that you'll never forget.

* For those with a [[Website/NicoNicoDouga Nico Nico]] account, There's ??????'s[[note]]Nikiro-chan[[/note]] [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10247606 Let's Play]] of VideoGame/Persona4. Obviously in Japanese, listening to a Japanese girl read through all the unvoiced dialogue in the game, together with great editing for running through fights, make this a fun one to watch.

* [=SilentPhil2=], a morbid little Brit on Website/YouTube with a penchant for playing violent video games, or games with a KarmaMeter that he can shove all the way to the extreme side of "evil as sin."

* Website/NicoNicoDouga user "???"'s LP of ''[[VideoGame/VampireTheMasqueradeBloodlines Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines]]'' [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/10800100 is worth a look.]] Though it is probably much more enjoyable if you know Japanese. (Epsecially since, like the ''Siren 2'' LP listed above, he went through the trouble of translating all of the English voiceovers himself.)

* Website/YouTube user [[https://www.youtube.com/user/kilplixism Kilplix]] isn't officially [=LPing=] during his videos, just showing off his skills, giving viewers his opinion on custom maps, and sharing some moments from his ''VideoGame/Left4Dead'' sessions with his friends. But he earns an impressive following from how [[https://www.youtube.com/user/kilplixism#p/c/610149D9F8DE3128 gut-bustingly]] ''[[https://www.youtube.com/user/kilplixism#p/c/746D6A0B9725085B hilarious]]'' these sessions are, especially when things start to go wrong. Usually {{once an episode}} you can expect Kilplix to squeal in terror, Jed to do something hapless, and Con to set Kilplix on fire. Con's antics in particular have elevated him to MemeticBadass status, earning him [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6zpb_HMSjk his own video]].

* Lotus Prince's [[LetsPlay Let's Plays]] of shooter and survival horror games, especially his [=LPs=] of [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/community/blog/18974 American McGee's Alice]], [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/community/blog/23340 Silent Hill]] and [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/community/blog/23994 Silent Hill 2]], available in the Blog List section of the Website/ChannelAwesome site. Enthusiastic, funny, thorough and [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/community/blog/24984 analytical]], he's highly entertaining and well worth following.

* From Website/YouTube, Frankomatic's Obscure Game Theater played the... [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment obscure]] Platform/SegaCD "game" ''Panic!'' [[WhatWereYouThinking in one sitting]] on an emulator. Enjoy the resulting SanitySlippage as he struggles to get through the game in seven parts, starting [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeRlFUhzDgA&feature=related here]].

* On Website/YouTube is a very comedic LP for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (recently completed), found [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCJxF1gB39Y&feature=mh_lolz&list=PLEBB9F3C67DBBBEA3 here]] (though there is a separate playlist for the Adult Link segments). The comedy lies mainly in the commentary (albeit not for a few episodes), where the commentators consist of an [[{{EpicFail}} Epic Failer]] who loves the game (and does all the playing and editing), a DeadpanSnarker who hates the game, and a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} who knows very little about the game (the latter two being guest commentators, with the very last one only appearing rarely).

* Egomaniac's video [[http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Siren LPs]] of ''VideoGame/{{Siren}}'' and [[http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Siren2/ ''Siren 2'']] are subtitled and extremely detailed, organized into both chronological and play order, and provide details and translations of the Archives and speech in Siren 2.

** Similarly, toy's [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/13028381 Let's Play]] of ''VideoGame/{{Persona 3}}'' FES. Her obvious [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer girlcrush]] on [[TheOjou Mitsuru]] ("Mitsuru-saaaaaan~!") is adorable, and hearing her sniffle at the aftermath of [[spoiler:Shinjiro's death]] just makes you want to give the poor girl a hug. * The group effort/succession game Let's Play of ''VideoGame/DwarfFortress'' tells the tale of {{LetsPlay/Boatmurdered}} from the point of view of its succession of overseers, their crusades against bloodthirsty and vengeful elephants, and the use of levers as doomsday devices. Must be read to be believed.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/user/NakaTeleeli Nakateleeli]] has taken it upon himself to play the entire .hack series of games, both the original four and G.U.. He also has done LP's of ''VideoGame/BunnyMustDie'' and other obscure, WidgetSeries games. He also has a fairly good sense of humor and generally makes everything [[LargeHam entert]][[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl aining]] along the way. Currently, he's playing We Love Katamari and has just finished .hack//G.U. Volume 2: Reminisce (he was doing those two games concurrently.

* Originating in the "Short Game Theater" posts, the 3-part "Time Truckin' Saga, by [=ChipCheezum=] and General Ironicus, sees the two unlucky [=LPers=] whisked through time, space, and the opening of ''{{Series/House}}'' on the whims of a warp-drive-equipped big rig. It yanks them through a succession of increasingly bad games, finally ending up in the dreaded ''VideoGame/Superman64'' before taking mercy on them and dropping them in a ''Franchise/SpiderMan'' game. * [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydC_YXcWoBw King's Quest V]] by [[WebVideo.PawDugan Paw]] of Website/{{That Guy with the Glasses}}. This early PC game features lots of fun fantasy cliches and horrific overuse of the developers' new toy of voice work, all of which he mocks with gusto (a particular subject of his ire is Cedric the Owl, who manages to remain utterly useless throughout the game). The ending is also something to behold.

* [[Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses Transmission Awesome]] have been known for doing many great Lets Plays, the lengthiest is ''VideoGame/ConquestsOfTheLongbow: [[ReCut The Whole Shebang Edition]]''. A group {{MST}}ing, with at least one RunningGag ([[MemeticMutation NOM NOM NOM]]) and many SugarWiki/FunnyMoments; for example, the guys [[ManOfAThousandVoices using every funny voice in their repetoire]] to get through a {{cutscene}} that, [[BoringButPractical whilst being necessary to plot and all]] is [[WallOfText too damn long]], and their [[MassOhCrap completely mature reaction]] to [[FatBastard the Sheriff's wife]]. Throw in some RefugeInAudacity, more HoYay than your brain can handle and the gradual {{Flanderization}} of Alan-A-Dale from CampGay to DepravedHomosexual, and you have one damn good LetsPlay. * [[Website/GameFAQs Board 8]] has archived [[http://board8.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Playthrough some of their playthrough topics]] [[TheWikiRule on their wiki]]. No screenshots, though, due to the nature of [=GameFAQs'=] forums not allowing them in the original topics.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/user/GrimithR GrimithR]] does multiple strategy games and the odd RPG or indie game, such as VideoGame/SidMeiersAlphaCentauri, VideoGame/SimAnt, VideoGame/GalacticCivilizations, VideoGame/LiberalCrimeSquad, and VideoGame/RomanceOfTheThreeKingdoms. Each playthrough is accompanied by his LargeHam tendencies and a borderline [[AGodAmI god complex]]. He generally presents himself as an EvilOverlord AntiVillain who, despite occasional PetTheDog moments, is always bent on domination and crushing all who stand in his way (and often succeeding at that, followed by EvilGloating).

** ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil3'': Nemesis is turned into a Pimp, the [[Franchise/{{Terminator}} T-800]] and a [[Anime/DragonballZ Super Saiyan]].

* Mr Swoon pulls off a [[http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/ParasiteEve fairly straightforward]] ''ParasiteEve''... save for his penchant for replacing Daniel's face with those of Eddie Murphy, Creator/SamuelLJackson, Danny Glover, and other famous black film cops in every screenshot that presents the opportunity. And be sure to pay attention to Science Time with Talking Polygon Character Heads!

** ''VideoGame/{{Drakengard}}'': He's a mute SociopathicHero who loves murder and... Um... More murder. And talking about murder. She's a DeadpanSnarker misanthrope red dragon. TheyFightCrime! ''DRAKENGARD!'' becomes a CatchPhrase for explaining everything [[EldritchAbomination that's]] [[EatsBabies wrong]] [[MindScrew with]] [[BrotherSisterIncest this]] [[ChildHater game.]]

** They followed it with a Let's Play of ''Fallout 3'', again playing a StupidEvil jackass named Reginald Cuftbert (who, given the IdiotPlot, ends up [[OnlySaneMan looking justified in his insane all-killing mania]]), going through the entire game with a Nice Bonnet. He is ''not'' a mercenary. The game said so.
