* Star Platinum struggles against The World in their first "Blazing Fists" match, but fares better the second time and even breaks The World's fist in a PunchParry, despite DIO being empowered by Joseph's blood. This seems inconsistent, but it should be noted that Jotaro somehow found an opportunity to place a magnet on DIO during their first scrap, all while still parrying most of The World's punches. This implies Star Platinum only lost the first time because Jotaro had to devote some of his movement to the magnet trick. It would explain why DIO later resorts to knives and a steamroller instead of simply trying to overpower Star Platinum in another "Blazing Fists" match.

* In Thoth's "Oingo Boingo Brothers Adventure", the characters appear similar (yet in an exaggeratedly cartoonish way) to how they look in real life, but Boingo looks completely different. This could be the result of Boingo's shyness.

* When DIO first became a vampire in Part 1, it seemed to take him a while to regain his senses as his first couple acts was just to drink the constables who came to arrest him. After almost 100 years submerged in a coffin, just barely surviving because of Jonathan's body, when DIO emerged in 1983 he must've been downright ''feral''. It's very telling that there was zero trace of the crew of the salvaging ship who found him. Almost like he drained them until they were nothing but dust.

** His signature TimeStandsStill has the huge limitation of taking a toll on the user's heart, also making it more frail in time (and he's still a GameBreaker with that limitation). However, thanks to his vampiric nature, the toll on his heart has no effect, making him able to spam it with no consequence and without him weakening in time.

* So why exactly does being in [[TimeStandsStill Paused Time]] take a toll on the user's heart? There is a neurological condition called ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachypsychia Tachypsychia]]'', which supercharges bodies to move faster than usual in times of danger. When bodies move faster than normal, it strains the heart!

** And with this in mind, we can see how Jotaro's strategy of bringing cigarettes and drinks (which again, is nothing but Jotaro using Time Stops at a subconscious level, when even he doesn't realize what he has really been doing) when playing poker against the elder D'Arby is so terrifingly effective. Since D'Arby knew what DIO's Stand ability really was -- which was stopping time and acting and changing things while time was stopped -- it's not farfetched to think that ''D'Arby actually figured that Jotaro's Star Platinum had the same ability, and logically he started thinking that Jotaro actively used it to cheat and change his worthless hand into a winning one.'' While Jotaro admitted that Star Platinum could not move fast enough to switch five cards in front of D'Arby's watching eyes, this did NOT consider "time stopping and switching the cards during stopped time" as a possibility. But seen from D'Arby's perspective, this once again foreshadows that Jotaro and DIO do have, in fact, the same Stand ability... stopping time.

* As seen [[https://snakeassassins.tumblr.com/post/168844121245/jojos-bizarre-adventure-theory-jotaro-doesnt here]]: Jotaro's epic bluff's success had nothing to do with his own skill at Poker, which is [[AchievementsInIgnorance nonexistent]]. Instead, he decided to challenge D'Arby on the spot; then, the combination of his [[FaceOfAThug accidentally intimidating]] poker face and D'Arby realizing that his Stand was pulling [[TimeStandsStill timestop]] [[MundaneUtility shennanigans]] lead D'Arby's calm to break, which Jotaro ''immediately'' noticed, leading him to double down.

* Back in ''Phantom Blood'', when Jonathan fought Dio in his castle, at one point, Jonathan said this: "If I die, my ghost is going to haunt you!". At first, it appears to be Jonathan's determination to defeat Dio, refusing to give up even in death, but this line may be more significant than you'd think. Now, The World? That one's simply the manifestation of Dio's dominant personality, as a Stand's main characteristic is to mirror its user's mentality. But what about Jonathan? That's where the line above comes into play. And to understand why, one must look no further than Star Platinum. Jotaro described his Stand as something akin to an "evil spirit", in other words: a ghost. Jotaro gained Star Platinum because the Stand Arrow that gave Dio his The World simultaneously pierced Jonathan's body, which began the Joestar bloodline's Stand acquisition. Star Platinum even shares many visual similarities to Jonathan, most notably his shoulder pads, his fingerless gloves, his boots and his long hair. And this Stand's user is none other than the man who ended Dio once and for all, with one final punch from his Star Platinum, the ghost that just made good on his promise to haunt Dio if he died...
** At no point does Jonathan actually say anything akin to that line.
** Aiding this case, the similarities between the first and third openings from the anime. In the first one, the penultimate sequence is that of Dio and Jonathan confronting each other before the camera goes upwards, giving a parting shot of the two that leaves to a revolving staircase. In the third one, the penultimate sequence is a rising shot of the Tarot cards spinning akin to a snail stair before showing Jotaro and DIO confronting each other. To add, in both sequences, Jonathan and Star Platinum are surrounded by a flame-like aura, with both punches marking the end of the shot.

* It seems rather odd that the protagonists of this Part are able to take such insane levels of damage only to be [[UnexplainedRecovery perfectly fine]] in a later chapter, especially since Part 3 only takes place over 50 days and they don't have a dedicated healer like in later parts. Except that they do: Joseph! Hamon was shown in Part 1 to be able to heal people, with Johnathan using it to heal his broken arm instantly.

* The World and Star Platinum not only share the time stop ability, but both Stands have very high speed stats; given that the time stop only lasts a few seconds and takes a while to increase duration (and LOSES duration if left unused for long periods of time, i.e. Jotaro’s calm period up to Part 4 and his coma during most of Part 6), it makes sense that the time stopping Stands would need superhuman speed to make the most of the few seconds of stopped time.

* There's a theory that Star Platinum is the reincarnation of Jonathan's soul as a Stand... and consider that his body is used by the guy who has the power of The World... While Araki has stated that Jonathan's Stand is the Hermit Purple lookalike, this theory makes Star Platinum and The World being the same type of Stand a lot more sensible, as Jotaro's Stand is linked to Dio's in more ways than the curse.

* When Jotaro is bluffing the elder Darby Star Platinum is grabbing things out side of the 2 meters a close range stand should. As mentioned above if it is stopping time to do so it might just be grabbing a frozen Jotaro and moving him to get out of range of the chair before replacing him before resuming time.
* Hol Horse suffering from VillainDecay is not so surprising if you take in mind his character. As stated by himself, he’s a cowardly man who performs better if he has a partner able to compensate for his weaknesses to back him up, as otherwise he’s a poor fighter even with Emperor’s deadly ability. The first time he confronted the Joestar Group in India he had the help from J. Geil, a reliable partner he had experience working with, so, taking advantage of Polnareff’s reckless behavior, he was actually threatening and nearly managed to kill Avdol. The second time he appeared (in Pakistan) he was alone and was at Enya’s mercy the whole time after she betrayed him and subjected him to Justice’s ability. [[RuleOfThree The third and last time]], in Egypt, he picked the equally incompetent Boingo as his partner, which ended in the operation against the Joestar Group failing spectacularly and Hol Horse basically defeating himself. It’s not that Hol Horse suddenly became a joke of a villain, he simply had the ideal conditions to be a legitimate threat in his debut fight. After losing that advantage, he merely reverted to what he normally is when lacking a useful ally helping him.
* J. Geil not having pupils in his eyes makes perfect sense. If his eyes could reflect light his stand would be able to attack everything in front of him, which would make his stand rather overpowered.

** It gets even scarier when you take Kid Polnareff and Death 13's development potential. The fight between Polnareff and Alessi shows that if a user gets a stand at a young age it's relatively weak until it grows alongside the user. Yet Mannish Boy is ''11 months old'' with an extremely deadly stand at his disposal for his age, mixed in with the development potential of ''B'' and it's terrifying to think what kind of power it would hold once Mannish Boy grows up.

* Related to the previous point: In the anime, when Alessi has turned Jotaro into a kid with his Stand Set and tries to chop him with an axe, only for the (Standless) kid Jotaro to punch Alessi in the face before pummeling him with an "Ora Ora rush", there's a brief scene of Jotaro's little fist as he raises it into the sun. DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything It should. The kid Jotaro is doing the RapidFireFisticuffs himself, since being regressed into a kid he now doesn't have Star Platinum. Jotaro's fist is raised into the sun... whose light is partially blocked by the fist. Sunlight and a [=JoJo=] doing RapidFireFisticuffs manually? Now can we shout "SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE!" pretty much? What if the scene was actually a subtle ShoutOut to Jonathan and his technique all along?
