* DeathByAdaptation:
** WordOfGod confirms that Darnic wiped out the Tohsaka, Makiri (Matou), and Einzbern families in this version of the ''Apocrypha'' universe. Canonically, only the Makiri line died out, due to Zouken being killed when Darnic stole the grail.
** [[spoiler: Jack and Chiron are killed during Jack's initial debut, where canonically, no Servant or Master died during that confrontation. Chiron's death, in particular, is very notable since he didn't die until the FinalBattle with the Red Faction in the canon timeline as opposed to his very early death here.]]

** Furious with her recent failures & shortcomings, Darnic now has no qualms of sacrificing Fiore, his own heir to further his plans. While this is perceived as cruel, Darnic is not entirely wrong in his reasoning as Fiore is indeed too kind & soft hearted to be a proper Magus, much less a Master & her attempts in taming Spartacus have not been successful.

** Thank to the Dead Shift Command Seals, Shirou is able to keep up with Servants. The problem is because he is using them for the first time, it hasn't fully integrated with his body nor has he had enough time to practice with it, as Shirou himself notes.

* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: Mordred falls into this hard. She is constantly bragging about how she is the only fighter to surpass her father, King Arthur, even though Mordred never actually beat Arturia. She also claims credit for the defeat of enemies that were either killed by others, aren't actually dead, or she needed help to beat (though to her credit, she does believe she killed them all herself). Its clear this is all due to her desperate need to prove herself to her father and gain Arturia's acknowledgment. When Astolfo calls Mordred out of this she flips out and nearly kills Astolfo right then and there.

* CassandraTruth: Shirou denies vehemently that Kiritsugu was the infamous Magus Killer when told so by Sisigou who worked with him once. [[spoiler:Shirou only believes it once he meets Archer again and asks him point blank if its true. Needless to say Shirou isn't happy to learn [[NotSoDifferent how similar his father and his alternative timeline counterpart are]].]]

* DontYouDarePityMe: Mordred gets rather angry when Atalanta [[NotSoDifferent compares their upbringings]] and tells her that the two are nothing alike and that she doesn't want her pity.

* RealityEnsues:
** Even though Rin is a top class mage, she's still providing power to two Servants. Without enough magical energy for the Servants, this would naturally limit their abilities. She attempts to fix this problem for Shirou by providing him with Jewels as an emergency.
** Even though, she's a little more in touch with her humanity, it's really not enough to even begin to fix the bad blood between Arturia & Mordred. To her credit, Arturia is trying, but neither she nor Mordred has ever been the best with dealing or processing their emotions. One conversation in the midst of trying to kill each other isn't going to instantly solve their issues as one has been out of touch from her humanity for so long that it stunted her emotional & social development & the other is essentially a child in a teenager's body.

This is played out as she cannot understand at all why Rin would choose to leave her alive after their fight, as it it atypical of a Magus' (Especially in a Holy Grail War) behavior, not realizing that despite being a magus, Rin is a kind person.

* ShipSinking: The author has confirmed that Sieg & Jeanne are not going to become a couple in this story.

** Reika Rikudo, Jack the Ripper's Master, canonically died trying to protect Jack from Atalante. Since she isn't present when Jack is killed this time, and more importantly the heroes don't know who or where she is, Reika survives the Grail War this time.

** Shakespeare brings Shirou's conflict of achieving his dream of becoming a Hero of Justice to the forefront and attacks it head-on with his Noble Phantasm. He examines and takes apart Shirou's life with many points to make him Amakusa's perfect foe. A number of which Shirou denies but others he struggles to argue against. But it's this observation that perfectly sums up Shirou's current mindset.
