* SafelySecludedScienceCenter: XERRD is fond of building their laboratories in hard-to-find places. The Dino Island Laboratory is on the uncharted Dinosaur Island; the LEGO Island Laboratory is hidden inside Captain Click's cave; and the XERRD Fortress is deep within the jungles of Adventurers' Island. They also had an Arctic lab according to their backstory, although this one was destroyed when they moved their main operations to Dinosaur Island.

* SarcasticConfession: In Timeline 1958-B, [[spoiler:Talia]] accidentally pays with a quarter minted in 1997. She confesses that it is from the future, but she frames it as a joke to hide the fact that she's telling the truth. Later, when George suspects that she's hiding something, she rhetorically asks him if he thinks she [[spoiler:murdered Ronald Alexander]], which was intended to make the suggestion sound too absurd to be true.

* ShockStick: Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids are usually equipped with energized spears that produce an electric shock on contact.

* ShootTheDangerousMinion: Evil Ogel and General Evil tried to destroy the Brickspider Bot v1.0 because they realized that they succeeded a little too well in creating such a RoboticPsychopath.

* SmokeOut: Spy has fake cigarettes that create a smokescreen, allowing him to sneak away unnoticed. [[spoiler:TheMole steals these cigarettes and uses them to escape the Portal Operations Room after killing Scout, Soldier, and Heavy.]]

* TeamMercyVsTeamMurder: The [[IdealistVsPragmatist idealist vs. realist team schism]] was jumpstarted by Rex and Kotua conflicting over whether Mutant Dinos must be exterminated or if they deserved to live. Shadow, Kotua, Greybeard, and many others believed that the Mutant Dinos had to be exterminated. Specs, Rex, and a few others argued that the Mutant Dinos deserved to be spared since they aren't inherently evil.

* TimePolice: Alpha Team has a Temporal Affairs department led by special agent Quartz, tasked with tracking the illegal use of time travelling Hypno Disks and apprehending the time travelers before they cause too much harm to the timestream.

* TimeTravelTaboo: As a result of Rob-N-Hood, the Thompson Gang, and the Time Twisters causing mischief and mayhem with Hypno Disks in the late [=1990s=], time travel has been outlawed by the LEGOLAND government in the Temporal Accords. This serves as an in-universe explanation to prevent time travel from being a story-breaking ability in this RPG.

Sydney's father, George Ogel, pulled Jimmy aside at one point and threatened to kill him if he made a move on her. This turned out to be unnecessary, since Sydney and Jimmy actually regarded each other as TheBeard.

* WorstWeddingEver: George Ogel and Talia Kaahs's wedding day on November 6, 1958 was such a bad day, it essentially became the StartOfDarkness for both General Evil and Dr. Rex. George Ogel believing that Talia had stood him up and become a RunawayBride caused him to become a coldhearted nihilist who would eventually join the Evil OGEL Empire, while Ronald Alexander abducting Talia and lying about it to George was his first major step towards becoming the creator of the Dino Attack.
