NextSundayAD, Earth is invited to join a galaxy-spanning, multi-planetary democracy known as [[TheFederation the Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets]] [[FunWithAcronyms (GASP)]]. In response, the United Nations launches YER-GASP (Young Earth Representatives to GASP), an international program to send teenagers across the globe as exchange students to the Alliance’s capital of Cosmic City, a highly advanced CityPlanet of unimaginable size populated by trillions of aliens and robots of all kinds. Thousands of kids apply for the chance to become the first humans to interact with an alien civilization, but only a select hundred or so are chosen. Of these lucky youth, the youngest of them all is the just-turned-13-years-old Roger Rocket, an eager and courageous [[TheAllAmericanBoy all-American boy]] [[AscendedFanboy obsessed with outer space sci-fi adventures and all things intergalactic]].

On Cosmic City, Roger lives under the guardianship of the experienced and knowledgeable [[InterspeciesRomance interspecies alien couple]] Gaitha and Zemir. But in Cosmic City, Roger also makes his first real friends, an incredibly cautious but insatiably curious TinCanRobot named Calculus (the "son" of Gaitha and Zemir's apartment neighbors), as well as Gaitha and Zemir’s adopted daughter Voona, a tough but principled humanoid alien. With Voona and Calculus by his side, Roger is determined to make the most of his time on Cosmic City, resulting in him having all sorts of adventures around Cosmic City, as well as on other worlds across the universe. In these escapades, Roger encounters many strange and wonderful things - friends and foes both alien and robotic, secrets of the universe and strange cosmic phenomenon, madcap technology and incredible vehicles, environments both beautiful and dangerous, extraterrestrial beasts of every appearance and ability, and everything in between.

Roger Rocket is the central character, a mixed-race all-American boy from the small Midwestern town of Armstrong who received his invitation into YER-GASP on his 13th birthday. Having lived his whole life on a steady diet of movies, TV, and comics about space heroes and galactic adventures, Roger sees coming to Cosmic City as a dream come true and is determined to make the most of his time there. Eager, confident, and excitable, Roger is always willing to take risks, seize opportunities for adventure, and explore the world around him, even if Cosmic City and the worlds of GASP don't always meet his expectations as a sci-fi enthusiast. Nonetheless, Roger navigates the galaxy through the mantras of his favorite space heroes, driving him to peacefully reach out to those he sees as friends (which also includes those who aren't yet his friends) and bravely stand up against those he knows are enemies (which is anyone who dares to hurt his friends). And while Roger's boldness and optimism win him many allies (and enemies) on Cosmic City, he's not taken seriously at all back home - most of his classmates had no interest in his passions except to ridicule him or take advantage of him; his teachers actively discouraged his interests and saw them as detrimental to his potential; his parents and siblings treated him like a baby and never let him help around the family diner; and most of his fellow YER-GASP students look down on him as too unqualified for such a prestigious opportunity (with the latter two due to being the youngest in the group).

Calculus is Roger's first and best friend in the whole wide universe, a little gray robot who looks an awful lot like a tin can on wheels. Despite his polite and well-mannered nature, Calculus is extremely anxious about everything and always fears the worst may happen. As a result, he is Crazy-Prepared for every possible situation, and his tiny box-like body stores inside of it an innumerable amount of gadgets and tools, many of which are quite helpful to Roger when he and his friends find themselves in a pinch. However, Calculus also possesses an insatiable curiosity for the universe and constantly strives to learn more about it, carefully scanning and examining every new discovery or curiosity he encounters and meticulously recording and archiving every new piece of information or knowledge he acquires. Because of this, Calculus is remarkably intelligent, often providing Roger and his friends with useful information from his extensive internal databank on almost every subject imaginable. However, he has very little practical experience with pretty much everything he knows about on account of the fact his own "parents" are reclusive inventors who are always too busy developing new technologies for businesses to produce and sell to take him anywhere far from home. As a result, most of his knowledge was acquired from reading holotablets and doing research on the Holoweb. And while Calculus finds comfort in the safety of learning from home, Roger is quick to show him the worth of experiencing the universe firsthand.

Voona is Roger's second best friend and the adopted daughter of Gaitha and Zemir, a purple human-like alien from the greenhouse world of Cholak with pointy ears, frog-like skin, suction-tipped fingers, and tentacles on her head. Serious, short-tempered, and a strong believer in the value of honesty, Voona is straightforward to the point of Brutal Honesty and tends to get violent towards anyone who annoys her (and she gets annoyed very easily). She has a particular hatred for bigots, bullies, creeps, idiots, those who hurt animals or carelessly harm the environment, and anyone who abuses or misuse their power, taking great pleasure in using her fighting skills on such people and being very vocal about how much she dislikes them. Indeed, Voona is very strongly principled and really only shows complete and genuine respect and admiration for those she sees as kindred spirits with similar values or those who fearlessly stand up for such values. Likewise, Voona is very caring and protective of those who mean a lot to her, such as her adopted parents (her real parents were researchers who mysteriously vanished many years ago, though she calls Gaitha and Zemir her aunt and uncle) and her two friends (although she's not above punching Roger or Calculus when they annoy her, despite how much of a soft spot she has for them). But her soft side also extends to animals of all types, and she is always staunch on not using her fighting skills against them, always saying that they are just trying to survive or are only evil because of their master.

This however only strengthens the bond between Voona and Droggs, with the two being extremely loyal, affectionate, and protective of one another.

Gaitha is the wife of the interspecies alien couple that takes care of Roger and Voona, a light brown alien from the desert world of Elan-Nhimm with scaly skin, an anteater-like snout with an Overly Long Tongue, two-clawed hands, and a bald scalp with tiny horns surrounded by long dark hair (like a tonsure). Elegant and sophisticated, Gaitha is deeply learned and deeply passionate about the arts, cultures, and histories of the known universe, having acquired firsthand knowledge and experience during her youth as an intergalactic traveler and adventurer alongside her husband Zemir. Having now settled down in Cosmic City, Gaitha now works as a humble guide at the GASP Museum of Intergalactic Knowledge, the largest museum in the known universe. But whether she is adventuring across galaxies with Zemir or simply helping museum visitors learn more about the universe's many worlds, Gaitha is always prim and proper, with a fussy and professional attitude that always helps her to keep calm and carry on. But despite combining a meticulous nature with a stiff upper lip (or rather, upper snout), Gaitha is a wise and compassionate woman whose pastimes include watching stage performances (especially theater, dance, and music), reading classic literature, and making paintings and sculptures.

Pranter is an old friend of Gaitha and Zemir from their days as galactic adventurers, a blue, pot-bellied alien from the swampy planet of Ruban with a short trunk, insect-like antennae, and red compound eyes typically sealed behind thick red goggles. Formerly the Lando Calrissian to Gaitha and Zemir’s Leia and Han (which is to say he semi-regularly popped up during their travels in various situations), Pranter has now settled down as the owner of Spaceman’s Stop, a GreasySpoon that mostly caters to {{Space Trucker}}s and stores away small spaceships owned by Cosmic City civilians, such as Gaitha and Zemir's good old [=SpaceVan=]. Simple and amicable, he often reminisces with Gaitha and Zemir about their galactic adventures together, most of which involved the criminal underworld in some way (on account of his tendency to dabble in shady and questionable matters). But as good-natured as he is, Pranter's history of connections and knowledge of the criminal underworld tend to get him in trouble with all kinds of nasty individuals, many of whom have beef with him, Gaitha, and Zemir.

And while Roger's boldness and optimism win him many allies (and enemies) on Cosmic City, he's not taken seriously at all back home - his classmates had no interest in his passions except either to ridicule him or to take advantage of him; his teachers actively discouraged his interests and saw them as detrimental to his potential; his parents and siblings treated him like a baby and never let him help around the family diner; and his fellow YER-GASP students look down on him as too unqualified and immature for such a prestigious opportunity (with the latter two due to being the youngest in the group).

Calculus is Roger's first and best friend in the whole wide universe, a little gray robot who looks an awful lot like a tin can on wheels. Despite his polite and well-mannered nature, Calculus is extremely anxious about everything and always fears the worst may happen. As a result, he is CrazyPrepared for every possible situation, and his tiny box-like body stores inside of it an innumerable amount of gadgets and tools, many of which are quite helpful to Roger when he and his friends find themselves in a pinch.

Serious, short-tempered, and a strong believer in the value of honesty, Voona is straightforward to the point of BrutalHonesty and tends to get violent towards anyone who annoys her (and she gets annoyed very easily). Likewise, Voona is very caring and protective of those who mean a lot to her, such as her adopted parents (she has no idea who her real parents are or if they're even still alive, though she calls Gaitha and Zemir her aunt and uncle) and her two friends (although she's not above punching Roger or Calculus when they annoy her, despite how much of a soft spot she has for them). But her soft side also extends to animals of all types, and she is always staunch on not using her fighting skills against them, always saying that they are just trying to survive or are only evil because of their master.

Gaitha is the wife of the interspecies alien couple that takes care of Roger and Voona, a light brown alien from the desert world of Elan-Nhimm with scaly skin, an anteater-like snout with an OverlyLongTongue, two-clawed hands, and a bald scalp with tiny horns surrounded by long dark hair (like a tonsure). Elegant and sophisticated, Gaitha is deeply learned and deeply passionate about the arts, cultures, and histories of the known universe, having acquired firsthand knowledge and experience during her youth as an intergalactic traveler and adventurer alongside her husband Zemir. Having now settled down in Cosmic City, Gaitha now works a humble guide at the GASP Museum of Intergalactic Knowledge, the largest museum in the known universe.

Zemir is Gaitha's husband and the other parental figure for Roger and Voona (though he and Gaitha insist on being called Uncle and Aunt), an immensely fat, dark brown alien from the same planet as Gaitha with four arms and four eyes. A licensed starship pilot who once traveled the known universe with his wife Gaitha, Zemir now lives as a mechanic with his own repair shop not too far from their apartment on Cosmic City (he and Gaitha share the same apartment floor as Calculus and his "parents"). Zemir is quite boisterous, extremely lax, and very slovenly (his repair shop is a complete mess), which often leads people to mistake him for being stupid, much to his chagrin. In reality, Zemir is as every bit as intelligent as Gaitha, being very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about science and technology, while also having a lot of street-smarts (whenever Roger and his friends are looking for a particular service, he always "knows a guy"). It's just that his approach to life is loose, laidback, and all about going with the flow. And while his pleasures include watching sports (especially wrestling, racing, and ball games), indulging in holovision and movie marathons, and attending massive parties and festivities, he is nonetheless HappilyMarried to Gaitha and always finds a way to make her swoon.

* Cosmic City is the capital world and Crown Jewel of the Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets. Its surface is a bustling, highly advanced metropolis of unimaginable vastness and richness.
* Cosmic City is populated by trillions of aliens and robots from across the universe. While many of the aliens came to Cosmic City from other planets, most of the robots were built and raised there.
* Cosmic City was once a featureless world, but was made capital of GASP as its location was deemed secure and neutral. It became the vibrant planet it is today after a century of advanced terraforming.
* Cosmic City orbits a star similar to our Sun and has an atmosphere and climate compatible with most species (the sky is indigo-violet as a result). It is also approximately the same size as Earth.
* Cosmic City has eight moons, all terraformed to hold various structures, such as military bases, waste management plants, and penitentiaries. One moon is covered entirely in an amusement park!
* The Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets (GASP) is an intergalactic political organization that guides itself on the principles of peace, unity, equality, progress, and liberty.
* GASP consists of countless systems, planets, and species that have joined together to build a better universe. GASP also frequently adds new worlds, typically those with spacefaring societies.
* Whenever a new world joins GASP, an exchange of technology and ideas is initiated, allowing both parties to further develop their technology (especially robotics), society, and culture.
* GASP is a democracy, where a president is elected once every ten years for one term. The president leads galactic-level politics and runs Cosmic City with help from the planet’s governors.
* The official language of GASP is Galactic Standard, a planet-neutral language that is easy for most species to learn and speak. By some improbable coincidence, it sounds exactly like English.

But despite combining a meticulous nature with a stiff upper lip (or rather, upper snout), Gaitha is a wise and compassionate woman knowledgeable in an impressive array of subjects, particularly when it comes to alien cultures whose pastimes include watching stage performances (especially theater, dance, and the arts.music), reading classic works of literature, and doing art (especially painting and sculpting).

! Zemir Esilion

Zemir is Gaitha's husband. Originating from the planet Elan, Zemir is extremely fat and possesses four arms and four eyes, which help him greatly in his job as a mechanic and experience as a licensed starship pilot. Whereas his wife is serious and sophisticated, Zemir is very easygoing and enjoys more lowbrow pleasures. Despite his unpretentious nature, he is very intelligent and knows a lot of useful things, especially in the areas of science and technology.

After many years of adventuring and traveling the known universe with his job wife Gaitha during their youth, Zemir now lives as a mechanic with his own repair shop not too far from their apartment on Cosmic City (he and experience Gaitha share the same apartment floor as a licensed starship pilot. Whereas Calculus and his wife is serious and sophisticated, "parents"). Zemir is quite boisterous, extremely lax, and very easygoing and enjoys more lowbrow pleasures. Despite slovenly (his repair shop is a complete mess), which often leads people to mistake him for being stupid, much to his unpretentious nature, he chagrin. In reality, Zemir is very as every bit as intelligent as Gaitha, being very knowledgeable and knows a lot of useful things, especially in the areas of enthusiastic about science and technology.technology, while also having a lot of street-smarts (whenever Roger and his friends are looking for a particular service, he always "knows a guy").

Qual

* AbhorrentAdmirer: He has a huge crush on Voona, but she finds his mean and arrogant behaviour to be insufferable and his actions to impress her to be creepy.
* FantasticRacism: He has an extremely dim view of humans and robots, calling the former "stupid monkeys" and dismissing the latter as insignificant, while firmly believing aliens to be superior in every single way.
* FishPeople: Due to originating from an ocean planet, his species looks like a bipedal mixture of an octopus and an anglerfish, complete with a lure and tentacles.
* FreudianExcuse: His unpleasant personality is the result of being constantly picked on by his countless older siblings when he was a larva, making him very determined to prove himself in any way possible.
* GloryHound: He will stop at nothing to prove he is inherently superior to Roger at everything, which has a tendency to get the better of him.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: His mean and arrogant personality is essentially a mask for the insecurities and neuroses he has developed as a result of being a runt during his species' vulnerable larval stage.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He firmly believes in his own superiority over humans as an alien and constantly gloats about it.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's a mean, cynical, self-centered, and egocentric person who has a condescending view of humanity, enjoys gloating about his achievements, and frequently belittles others. He does get better over time however.
* PunyEarthlings: He firmly believes in this, hence his hatred for Roger. He cannot abide the idea of an Earthling doing better than an alien at anything.
* TheRival: To Roger, being willing to challenge him in virtually anything and interfere with any of Roger's adventures for the opportunity to prove his superiority.

Mr. Thol is a teacher at Andromeda Secondary School, where Roger, his friends, and others (like Qual) attend. He is a giant hairy alien from the planet Dulgara with tusks and six eyes. And while Roger's boldness and optimism win him many allies (and enemies) on Cosmic City, he's not taken seriously at all back home - his classmates had no interest in his passions except either to ridicule him or to take advantage of him; his teachers actively discouraged his interests and saw them as detrimental to his potential; his parents and siblings treated him like a baby and never let him help around the family diner due to him being the youngest in the family; and his fellow YER-GASP students look down on him as too unqualified and immature for such a prestigious opportunity on account of being the youngest of them.

Because of this, Calculus is remarkably intelligent, often providing Roger and his friends with useful information from his extensive internal databank on almost every subject imaginable, from alien predators to planetary atmospheres.

* TheAllAmericanBoy: A modernized version of the trope. He's got the classic "gee, whiz!" Midwestern attitude, in contrast with his more futuristic friends and interests.
* AscendedFanboy: He spent his whole life obsessing over comics, movies, and TV shows about adventures in outer space. Now, he's actually on an alien planet, and he's eager to turn every day into an adventure.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: His fashion sense looks like a stereotypical RaygunGothic space hero outfit that was remade into the kinds of clothes your average kid wears.
* BlitheSpirit: His enthusiasm and excitement for being on an alien world surrounded by all sorts of strange and wonderful things helps his friends see the galaxy they live in with a fresh pair of eyes.
* CaptainSpaceDefenderOfEarth: Likes to model himself after such characters, as he's a huge fan of them.

* GlorySeeker: He's always on the lookout for adventurous opportunities that he can win in to attain some form of glory, like races, competitions, and contests.
* IJustWantToBeSpecial: He's not really taken seriously by anybody in his hometown back on Earth and views his privilege of getting to be a young ambassador for an alien world to be the perfect opportunity to become as great as the space heroes of the stories he loves.
* {{Keet}}: His positive attitude and energetic nature often make him very excitable and sometimes quite loud.

* InterspeciesRomance: He and Gaitha are completely different species who are HappilyMarried. In a realistic spin on this however, they are completely incapable of having children as a result.
* LifeOfTheParty: As a major party animal, he brings the party to any big and loud event he goes to.
* LovableJock: Was this in his youth - a carefree, boisterous, and hard-partying athlete until Gaitha became his tutor one day and opened his eyes to his intellectual potential.
* MellowFellow: He's got a pretty chill, go-with-the-flow attitude that makes him seem uncouth to others.
* MrFixit: His job as a mechanic and his experience as a starship pilot have made him extremely adept with the gadgets and vehicles that make up life in the greater galaxy.
* MultiArmedMultitasking: Like all his kind, he has four arms that he can use all at once.
* NiceGuy: He's a friendly and fun-loving guy who loves his wife deeply, has a deep fondness for Roger and his friends, and always looks on the bright side of life.
* OppositesAttract: In contrast to his fussy and elegant wife Gaitha, Zemir is easygoing and unsophisticated. Despite this, the two manage to work things out and are quite happy together, as they do still share a few things in common, like being caring and friendly people, being of equal intelligence, and just being very loving with each other.
* TheSmartGuy: Splits the role with Gaitha, specializing in science and technology that he shares with Roger and his friends to help them understand the freaky sci-fi stuff they encounter.
* SmarterThanYouLook: He's frequently underestimated by others as nothing more than a crude and lazy idiot, much to his chagrin, as he's an expert in all things related to technology and the streets of Cosmic City.
* TeamDad: He's basically a father stand-in for Roger (and his friends, to a lesser extent), dispersing parental wisdom to them, looking after them, and sharing useful knowledge and information.

[[folder:Species and Planets]]

!! Humans
Earth had been known to GASP since approximately the 1940s, but the decision to let a relatively underdeveloped world join GASP was heavily debated for years in the GASP Assembly (GASP’s parliament). When GASP decided to admit Earth, YER-GASP was set up by the UN in response, intending to let Earth's youth become the first ambassadors to the universe.

GASP considers humans to be a mid-development species, meaning that they are not technologically advanced enough to be invited into GASP, but have made the first steps (i.e. they have developed early spaceflight). This makes Earth's admittance to GASP unprecedented, brought about by illegal interference from rogue spacecraft in places like Roswell.

!! Robots
Robots are found on countless worlds in GASP, but are primarily found on planets with high levels of technological and urban development. They come in a staggering diversity of forms because GASP's robotics industry is an amalgamation of all the engineering and programming knowledge of all the planets that were producing robots when they joined GASP.

Robots are unique in this setting in that they are considered a sapient species under GASP law (although the earliest GASP robots were not sentient). Robot manufacture is under the monopoly of GASP Robotics, a GASP-affiliated, robot-managed enterprise that uses an extremely complex programming and engineering system to create unique individuals.

!! Cholak
Cholak is a hothouse paradise covered in rainforests, savannahs, swamps, mountains, and shallow seas. Teeming with wildlife (notably Scuttling Sectiles like Droggs), the planet is a preeminent safari destination in GASP, which the inhabitants promote by encasing their cities in large energy domes meant to separate civilization from the wild.

Cholakites like Voona are a human-like species with purple, hairless skin and pointy ears. Females possess semi-prehensile tentacles on their heads, whereas males are totally bald. Except for the sexual dimorphism noted, they are fairly similar to humans in biological terms and were among the earliest species to have been invited into GASP.

!! Nhimm
Nhimm is most notable for its unusual orbit, which not only gives it unpredictable seasons but means that half of the planet is permanently night and the other stuck in daytime. As a result, there is only a single civilization on the otherwise environmentally diverse planet, and it exists as a massive city belted along the planet's day-night border.

Nhimmeons like Gaitha are a pink-skinned species with anteater-like snouts and small horns that poke from the hair on their heads. They have tongues thrice their height, which they use to slurp up food into their tiny, toothless mouths. Like kiwi birds, they lay a single huge egg, but like mammals, they carry that egg in their bodies for several months.

!! Elan
Elan is a desert planet infamous for its extreme conditions. The planet is nearly waterless, with most native species either gaining their necessary liquids from elsewhere or being extremely adept at locating the rare underground spring. Underneath the sands however, precious metals and minerals are unusually common, making the planet a mining hotspot.

Elantros like Zemir are a four-armed, four-eyed, brown-skinned, human-like species with traits from reptiles and marsupials. Like the former, they have dry skin, and like the latter, they raise their young in pouches. To survive the desert, they can go without water for months and store large amounts of fat in their bodies, making them appear obese.

!! Daquarri 8
Daquarri 8 is an entirely oceanic planet, with the sole land being its ice caps and the occasional artificial platform constructed for visitors from other worlds. While there are shallow regions, the planet's underwater environment is usually very deep, with vast stretches of open ocean and huge trenches cutting through the seafloor in every direction.

Daquarrians like Qual are an aquatic species with tentacles, fins, beaks, and bioluminescent lures. They have wet orange skin, no skeleton except a cartilage spine and skull, and ink sacs in their noses. Once a technologically primitive species, interference and enslavement from a planetary conqueror defeated by GASP led to them joining GASP.

!! Ruban
Ruban is a generally temperate planet known for being very, very, very wet, with vast expanses of soaking forest and marsh where it rains almost every day - sometimes as much as 20 meters of rain. The planet is bathed in a unique form of UV radiation from its sun that harmlessly blurs the vision of most outsiders but is vital to most native species.

Rubanians like Pranter are a blue-skinned species possessing short elephant-like trunks and insectoid antennae and eyes. Their vision is heavily reliant upon the planet's unusual UV radiation; without it, they can only seen blurry images. As a result, they often wear specialized goggles that help them see as they would at home when off-world.

!! Dulgara
Dulgara is a high gravity world locked in the grip of a global ice age. Vast expanses of snowy tundra, glacial flats, and icy mountains dominate the landscape, with blizzards being a nearly constant threat. The native species are well-adapted to survive the brutal environment, and the high gravity means most of them are also enormous in size as well.

Dulgarans like Mr. Thol are a white-furred species known for their towering height. They have six eyes (two major, four minor), huge boar-like tusks in a reptilian snout, and powerful reptilian tails. Among the largest sapient species known to GASP, they have a similar history to the Daquarrians, having been enslaved by the same planetary conqueror.

!! Jorvon 6
Jorvon 6 is a gas giant noted in GASP for being one of the few of such worlds capable of sustaining complex life. As a gas giant, it has no solid ground, so most of the planet's structures (constructed by visitors from other worlds for visitors from other worlds) levitate in the upper atmosphere, safe from the intense weather of the lower reaches.

Jorvonian Gasbags like Glorgo are one of the less humanoid species represented in GASP, instead resembling giant bloated jellyfish with gelatinous green bodies, three eyes, and several tentacles sprouting from their spherical mass. They are notable in GASP history in that they asked to join GASP after learning of its existence rather than being invited in.

!! Trokto
Trokto is a planet of dense jungles and active volcanoes infamous for being among the most dangerous worlds in GASP. The planet's wildlife (which strangely resemble alien dinosaurs) is very aggressive and territorial, to the point where visitors from other planets are usually required to stay on one of the world's orbiting space stations for safety.

Trokto Reptilians like Karak are a small-statured species resembling green-scaled humanoids with eyes and tail like those of a chameleon and a forked tongue like a snake. They are an arboreal species noted for their superb senses, the ability to climb walls and ceilings like a gecko, and superb camouflage abilities similar to those of an octopus.

!! Thurisia
Thurisia is a relatively nondescript world of savannahs, forests, mountains, and deserts that is most notable for being one of the few worlds known to GASP where the poorly studied phenomenon of psychic powers has developed. Indeed, most of the planet's native species are psychic in some way or have developed powerful defenses against such abilities.

Thurisians like Styleen are a diminutive insectoid species that possess yellow skin, black compound eyes, large antennae, four arms, and (most famously) a number of psychic powers. They do not have mouths, instead communicating via their innate telepathy and complex pheromones, as well as feeding by absorbing sunlight and water through their skin.

[[folder:Cosmic City]]

* Cosmic City is the sole world of the Zed System, but also the capital of the Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets. Its surface is a rich and bustling metropolis of unimaginable vastness and diversity.
* Cosmic City's population is over 8 trillion. This staggering number can be approximately divided into 6 trillion aliens belonging to countless species and 2 trillion robots of all sorts of designs from across the universe.
* Cosmic City was once a featureless world, but was made capital of GASP as its location was secure and neutral. It became the vibrant world it is today after a century of advanced terraforming.
* Cosmic City orbits a star similar to our Sun and has an atmosphere and climate compatible with most species (the sky is indigo-violet as a result). However, its rotation and orbit are opposite of Earth’s.
* Cosmic City has eight moons, all terraformed to serve purposes that can’t be done on the planet, such as military bases, waste management plants, and penitentiaries. One moon is covered entirely in an amusement park!
* The Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets (GASP) is a political organization that guides itself on peace, unity, equality, progress, and liberty. It is a bit like the Federation from ''Star Trek'' or the Republic from ''Star Wars''.
* GASP consists of countless systems, planets, and species that have joined together to better the universe. The organization frequently adds new worlds, typically those with spacefaring societies.
* Whenever a new world is added, GASP initiates an enormous exchange of technology and ideas, allowing for the growth of technology (especially in GASP robotics), society, and culture for both GASP and the new world.
* GASP is a democracy, in which a president is elected once every ten years for a single term. The president leads galactic politics (the highest level of GASP politics) and runs Cosmic City with help from the city’s administrators.
* The official language of GASP is Galactic Standard, a planet-neutral language that is intended to be easy to speak for almost all species. By sheer coincidence, it is the exact same as English - and no one knows why.

''Roger Rocket and the City of the Stars'' (or just ''Roger Rocket'' for short) is a science-fiction series made up by Tropers/MagnusForce. It is an adventure-comedy that takes inspiration from sci-fi works like ''Star Wars'', ''Star Trek'', ''Forbidden Planet'', ''Futurama'', and ''The Jetsons''.

The series focuses on Roger Rocket, a 13-year-old boy in YER-GASP (Young Earth Representatives to GASP), a project to send young humans to Cosmic City on the planet Zed, a city world home to all sorts of aliens and robots that serves as capital of the Galactic Alliance of Systems and Planets (GASP). In Cosmic City, Roger befriends a robot named Calculus and an alien named Voona, and the three have adventures across Zed and other worlds, encountering many strange and wonderful things.

This series is a reboot of an earlier project of mine called ''[[DarthWiki/OutOfThisWorldPlanetZed Out of this World]]'', borrowing the setting and many of the characters with some heavy tweaking based on another draft I made of the prior project. It was called ''Rod Rogers and the City of the Stars'' in a prior draft as well.
