* AmbiguouslyGay: Florence's Millennium Gaydar led him straight to her. Supported by the fact Ishizu is never seen being attracted to any men.

* AllGirlsLikePonies: She opens a door promising ponies, only to find a fire-breathing hellhound. She shuts the door, but opens it thirty seconds later after being promised a pony again. Her theme music [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic also features this.]]

* ButtMonkey: Not as much as Tristan, but still applies. First, Joey spends all the money that was supposed to go to her operation on trading cards, then she gets the operation anyway, it's a failure, and she spends several episodes in the hospital annoyed by visitors. Joey also repeatedly shows no concern for her wellbeing, and as noted under SatelliteCharacter, she just exists for Tristan and Duke to pine over.

* AnythingThatMoves: It's heavily implied Duke's bisexual or perhaps even pansexual; he's open to aliens anally probing him, he makes a joke about "riding" the robotic Nesbitt and generally shows attraction to both men and women (though mostly the latter). Also, his idea of unlocking doors in Industrial Illusions during Season 4? By tricking the security system into having cyber sex with him, proving that he has no problem with a computer program.

Kaiba lampshades this, pointing out how Mokuba is more or less the same height as when he was younger.

* AdaptationalWimp: This version of Solomon is ''far'' from his original counterpart. Canon Solomon was a skilled Duel Monsters master who taught Yugi and Joey everything they know about the game and is a somewhat valuable asset to the group a few times, while Abridged Solomon is nothing more than a bumbling idiot who is bossed around by his own grandson. Downplayed in episode 84, which like in canon, shows that he can put up a good duel against Joey.

* ScatterbrainedSenior: ''Oh yes''. While not as much of a cloudcuckoolander as Tristan is, Grandpa is prone to bouts of unpredictable behavior and has an absolutely terrible memory (he often forgets he even has a grandson, for one).

* {{Hypocrite}}: :At the end of season 3 Mai leaves Joey for nor knowing anything about her other than her breasts, while this does get changed to something more reasonable, later in season 4 one of the reasons she cites for her FaceHeelTurn was frustration of everyone talking about her breasts, despite before then much everything Mai said or did concerned her breasts in some way, to the point her IronicHell was a world where everyone else's breasts were bigger than hers.

* WithFriendsLikeThese: She's supposedly friends with the main characters, yet she's treated purely like a sex object and frequently forgotten by them, particularly Joey. This leads to her temporary FaceHeelTurn in Season 4, though it doesn't last because no matter how much she may resent Joey, he was still someone she cared about.

* SiblingYinYang: A classic example between her and Marik. Ishizu is an no-nonsense OnlySaneWoman, while Marik is a LargeHam {{Cloudcuckoolander}}. Lampshaded by herself.

* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Her Millennium Necklace gives her the power to break the fourth wall. '''Everyone''' can do that freely, anyway. However, she does manage to break the ''actual'' fourth wall, in the sense that while all of the characters talk about their lives and the events of the plot as if they're aware of their being in an official English dubbed anime series, Ishizu is one of the only characters who acknowledges in the episodes themselves that they are in an abridged series on the Internet. Such acknowledgement is usually reserved for other videos featuring the characters, not in episodes of the series itself.

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Moments after regaining her eyesight, she dives into the ocean to save Joey from one of Marik's deathtraps, because no matter how badly he treats her, she'll always love her big brother.

* GirlyGirl: She's obsessed with ponies and acts stereotypically girly. The only thing missing is a feminine sounding voice.

* SatelliteCharacter: Lampshaded during the season three premier. She questions what purpose she serves anymore, and when Joey tells her it's to give Tristan and Duke something to do, she "[[SarcasmMode feels so much better about [herself].]]"
