In the end, she decides that Yamada is the one she's in love with, but that she will still like Ushio platonically if he can respect her the way she is. * GiverOfLameNames: [[spoiler:When the student council members need to choose a name for Konno's power, Odagiri suggests "making someone do as they're told". Miyamura points out that this is a bit too lengthy and suggests "submission" instead.]]
* GoodAllAlong: [[spoiler: She didn't report Yamada for the street fight in his first year out of ill will, but because she felt she had to, and she didn't frame him as the sole perpetrator as much as she really thought he was the sole perpetrator because her memory was changed. He became a hated loner, and she tried including him in her and Ushio's group to atone, but sent Ushio to invite him, and Yamada of course said no, thinking Ushio had betrayed him.]]

* IdiotBall: While her gambit [[spoiler:to lose her protection and become Ushio's spotter ended up neutralizing Ushio as a threat, she didn't seek out a witch such as Kotori or Kikuchi for protection again and ended up under Yuri's control.]] This certainly made the situation worse.

* IntimateOpenShirt: She envisions herself this way in open of her [[spoiler:StupidSexyFriend fantasies about Ushio.]]

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Leads to an emotional moment when she accepts that Yamada loves Shiraishi more than her, and that he will only become happy if he gets together with Shiraishi. * PreciousPhoto: [[spoiler:Her photo of Yamada from their days in the handicrafts club. She tears it up, and in-universe she claims she did it out of embarrassment, though the symbolism obviously is that she has moved on from being stuck between Yamada and Ushio and no longer needs a photo to confirm that he's the one she loves.]]

* PuppyDogEyes: She makes this expression after [[spoiler:she has confessed her love to Yamada and wants him to consider choosing her instead of Shiraishi]].

** She gives one to Tamaki to make him man up and stop escaping from his responsibilities when he is hesitating [[spoiler: running for president]] - it doubles as a FriendshipMoment, though, because the real reason she does it is that she doesn't want to be alone without him.

* TheRival: She competed with Miyamura for the position as student council president. After he becomes president and [[spoiler: names her the clerk]], they start to become actual friends.
* RousingSpeech: [[spoiler: She gives a somewhat subdued one to Himekawa and Nancy after Yamada turns all three of them down, pointing out that Shiraishi maybe will stop being interested in Yamada if he wipes her memories, and in that case, they still have a chance. It certainly lights up the mood.]]

* ShipperOnDeck: [[spoiler: When told that Himekawa was in love with Yamada, she instantly seemed supportive (if a bit confused why Himekawa would like him) and gave her advice. Of course, this was before she fell in love with him herself.]]

Though as usual, she refuses to admit that she did it for such reasons and instead insists that she cooked it all for herself and just accidentally made more than she could eat.

* TreeCover: She hides behind a tree when she wants to see Yamada talk to Alex about the latter's problems and [[spoiler:witch power]].

* UncannyFamilyResemblance: [[spoiler:While all characters who have BabiesEverAfter look like their children to a great degree, Odagiri's resemblance to her daughter Mone is extreme - she's practically a clone of Odagiri's kindergarten self with the exact same hairstyle.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: To Yamada, of course, but after she forms a close friendship with Tamaki, her loyalty to him is just as strong, which can be seen when she feels afraid to [[spoiler: be left alone because he doesn't want to run for president]].

* WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong: She ''really'' [[TemptingFate tempts fate]] when she [[spoiler:advices Himekawa to confirm that Yamada is in love with her by using her power on him and afterwards declaring her love for him, reassuring her that it can't go wrong. Given that Yamada turned out to not be in love with Himekawa, it went very wrong indeed.]]
* WhatWereYouThinking: She frustratedly asks Yamada this when she finds out that both him and Ushio just [[spoiler:acquired the seventh witch power]].
* WhatWouldXDo: [[spoiler:When she has swapped bodies with Yamada and wants to pass as a convincing Yamada in front of Shiraishi, she makes the mistake of asking herself "what would a boy do?" instead of "what would Yamada do?". This results in her treating Shiraishi with some goofy, old-fashioned chivalry that Yamada himself has never displayed.]]

* WistfulAmnesia: She admits that when she had her memory of Yamada wiped, she couldn’t help but automatically like him even though she only knew of him as a good-for-nothing delinquent. [[spoiler: Next time she forgets him, she also has what she describes as an ache in her chest.]]

Her screen-time decreases a bit later, but she is still pretty important in-universe, being the spotter of the new seventh witch. And then she becomes the new president of the Supernatural Studies Club, though that turns it to be a subversion since the series ends before her presidency can give her any importance.]]

She makes sure to show Yamada extra amounts of affection when Kaori is secretly watching, and then she starts to watch Kaori and Yamada when they're alone together so that Kaori can deduce that she has a thing for him. Next thing, Kaori - who formerly considered Yamada gross - consents to kiss Yamada just to make Noa hurt and jealous.]]

* BreakoutCharacter: [[spoiler: Her return to the story to be the guinea pig of Yuri's power was very well-received by fans, and soon she got promoted to main cast status for a while.]]

* BroomstickQuarterstaff: She tries to use brooms to fight [[spoiler:Dark Takuma.]]

* ComedicUnderwearExposure: At the second ceremony, [[spoiler:Nancy]] flips up her skirt as part of her TimeFreezeTrollingSpree. Her underwear is also exposed by Rika at the first ceremony, but that's off-screened.

It's an unexpected friendship since they not only have very different personalities, but also had a very unfriendly first encounter (when Noa tried to infiltrate the Japanese chess club), and Ushio initially considered her to be annoying when she became his and Yamada's spotter.]]

* OneOfTheBoys: Her only female friend in her initial four-student clique is fairly tomboyish, and the only other girl she's been seen interacting with is Kaori who she, to put it mildly, has a frenemy relationship with. Otherwise, she has grown closest to the guys, namely Yamada, Miyamura, [[spoiler: Ushio]], and [[spoiler:the Suzuhara twins]].
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In stressful situations, she tends to either keep her cool or cover up her insecurities by being silly or flirty, so when she acts genuinely upset, you know that things are bad, for example when she begged Yamada to help her friends, and when [[spoiler:Tamaki was almost losing the president election to Ichijo]].

* AdaptationalSympathy: In the manga, she's the only villain in the first witch war who really is a clear-cut villain - not cartoonily evil, since she is still just a high school student, but unlike Yamazaki and Rika, she doesn't have any reasons or excuses for what she's doing. In the live-action drama, while still introduced as a villain, she is painted in a more sympathetic light, given a FreudianExcuse (Yamazaki was the only one who seemed to respect her as a human being and not just see her as a girl), and she defects at the end. * DarkMistress: Yamada thinks she is this to Yamazaki, but he's probably not right, as even though Yamazaki's memories of Leona have been wiped, his feelings for her remain the same. The subject isn't brought up again after one short conversation, though. [[spoiler: She confirms she isn't, but wouldn't mind to be.]]

While she can be plenty badass and stand up for herself, it seems like she's only feeling comfortable when she has a boss to serve and obey, hence why [[spoiler: she's been secretary to both Yamazaki and the former president, and wants to return the school to "the way that it used to be" in the second witch war. And then subverted: She's not really a doormat, she just doesn't like to get constant attention, and being the secretary of a more powerful person can help her avoid that.]]

** As something really unusual for this series, she is ''not'' given one for her actions in the first witch war. It is revealed that [[spoiler:her first high school year wasn't very easy, and that she became an underling of Yamazaki to hide from unwanted attention]], but nothing of that relates to the sadistic or malevolent behavior she would sometimes show towards Yamada. Apparently, her sadism is just a natural personality trait of hers.

[[spoiler:She felt alone and empty after her term as student council secretary was over, and that's why she started the Japanese chess club with Ushio - she saw him as someone in the same boat and hoped that he could become a replacement for Yamazaki.]]

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: During the first witch war, she regularly switches between good and evil depending on Yamada's actions and Yamazaki's schemes. [[spoiler: In the second witch war, she's firmly a villain until the end, however.]]

Not only does she have sadistic traits, but she also helped Yamazaki (who in his amnesiac state was also an example of this trope) with opposing Yamada without caring much about or noticing Yamada's struggles, and later [[spoiler:she is one of the instigators of the second witch war, but unlike Ushio and Yuri, she doesn't have any heartfelt wishes that she needs to fulfill through a ceremony - she just wants to pass time given that she's not Yamazaki's secretary anymore, and doesn't seem to care that what she's doing will turn the school upside down.]]

* LoyalToThePosition: [[spoiler: She's simply loyal to whoever has the power over the school at the moment. For a lot of the story, it was Yamazaki, but she was also the secretary of the former president. When Miyamura becomes president and doesn't include her in his student council, she starts to serve Ushio who can help her get back to the times when she had a president to run errands for.]]

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: In an indirect way, she is the one who [[spoiler:rekindles Yamada and Ushio's friendship]]. If she hadn't been bored and lonely after the first witch war, looking for a replacement to Yamazaki, she wouldn't have [[spoiler:started the Japanese chess club with Ushio who had been ditched by Odagiri at that point, and then Yamada and Ushio wouldn't have crossed paths again, as Ushio had probably just stayed a miserable loner for the rest of his time at Suzaku High]].

* UndyingLoyalty: Double-subverted. She is very loyal to Yamazaki, [[spoiler: but isn't clingy, and such stopped being with him after their student council term. The fact that she started following Ushio instead made it seem like she was only interested in men with power, but no - her loyalty to Yamazaki still remained.]]

* TheBusCameBack: Almost 80 chapters after being PutOnABus, she makes a return, appearing in a way similar to her first introduction and asking Yamada to find out if Yamazaki likes her. [[spoiler: It was only a short return, though, and she soon leaves the series permanently.]]

* ConspicuousGloves: She always wears gloves, and when she takes them off... well, then one should probably worry, because then she is about to use her power. [[spoiler: As later revealed, it's just for style points. She doesn't need to touch her victim (much less with her bare hands) to use her power.]]

She plays a bit of a role on the first trip of the new student council when she and Yamazaki tell the group of [[spoiler: the new witches]], but after that her role ceases until [[spoiler: a couple of chapters before her graduation]].

* IGaveMyWord: One of her more noble sides, even as a villain, is that she always keeps her promises, like when she promised to participate in the ceremony if Leona returned to school, and when she promised Yamada to [[spoiler:tell him how to get the memories back if he told her how Yamazaki felt about her.]]

* NoSell: As a witch, she is immune to other witch powers except for [[spoiler: the powers of other seventh witches.]]

* ThePeepingTom: One of the rare female examples. She peeps on Arisugawa and then Kurosaki when they change clothes on the first student council trip. In Arisugawa's case, it was actually to find out if she [[spoiler: was a witch]], but in Kurosaki's case, she just wanted to peep on him.

* PunchClockVillain: Most of the time she only erases people's memories because that's what the student council orders her to. She bears no ill will towards Yamada. [[spoiler:Whether she erased Yamazaki's memories due to her own jealousy or due to an student council order is left ambiguous, though - she was genuinely hurt and jealous, but she did it at the same time as the president ordered her to wipe Yamada's and Himekawa's memories.]]
