* GirlsAreReallyScaredOfHorrorMovies: When Vinesauce tells a spooky story during a campfire break, she gets so scared that ''[[ComicalOverreacting it breaks her friendship with him]]'' (the other party members weren't disturbed at all). [[spoiler:She gets abducted by Mike Love before the relationship can be patched; when Vinesauce retrieves her face several in-game months later, ''she[='=]s still mad at him''.]]

** His "endless trash" quote appeared in a [=RedLetterMedia=] clip Vinny played multiple times during a stream of ''VideoGame/EarthBound''.

A strange man not unlike a [[VideoGame/EarthBound certain other roving photographer]], who appears after major battles to sell Vinny photographs of the encounter [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons instead of running a nuclear power plant]]. He first appears in the Pyramid in the Neksdor region.

* MythologyGag: His job as a traveling photographer leads Vinny to compare him to the Photo-man from ''VideoGame/EarthBound'', since Vinny streamed his first playthrough of that game the year ''Miitopia'' came out in English.

A Cool Vampire added in the postgame. He's the rather infamous [[Creator/TommyWiseau director and actor]] of the movie ''Film/TheRoom''.

* AscendedExtra: In ''Tomodachi Life'', Johnny from ''Film/TheRoom'' was a case of LastEpisodeNewCharacter. Here, the same Mii represents Tommy Wiseau himself. He starts out with a role that's still minor when he first appears at the Travelers' Hub, but he assists the party in a side quest. Vinny mentions adding him as a permanent party member in the post-game when he shows up, which he follows up on after he spends some time as a GuestStarPartyMember.

* BladeOnAStick: [[spoiler:After Part 5, his weapon becomes forks, spears and trident-like weapons, as of result of becoming an Imp.]]

* RetGone: [[invoked]] Iwata was replaced by Batman due to the real Iwata's death two years prior to the game's release leading Vinny and viewers to consider keeping him [[UnacceptableTargets to be in poor taste]]. Nobody in Neksdor notices anything different, not even his wife.

* AdaptationNameChange: He was just known as Mario originally, even though the real Mario isn't much like him. [[WebAnimation/YouTubePoop Poopers]] often refer to him as "[[OffModel Fat]] Mario" to differentiate him from other versions, akin to how ''Hotel Mario''[='=]s Luigi is often called "Gay Luigi" due to a [[MemeticMutation misheard line]]. Vinny chose to name him after his game.

* TheArtifact: His name refers to what was originally a PaperThinDisguise before he [[BecomingTheMask actually became]] a lowly lumberjack during Vinesauce ''Tomodachi Life''. As a Scientist, he gets as far away from that motif as possible, but keeps the name. While the hidden Elf class gets a lumberjack outfit, no classes use [[AnAxeToGrind axes]].

* BladeOnAStick: [[spoiler:After Part 5, his WeaponOfChoice becomes forks, spears and trident-like weapons, as of result of becoming an Imp.]]

* HeroesPreferSwords: His WeaponOfChoice, perfect for a balanced heroic knight.

* FryingPanOfDoom: His WeaponOfChoice. It's good for smacking enemies and cooking healing food mid-battle.

* DeviousDaggers: Her WeaponOfChoice as a swift thief is a knife or dagger of some sort. Fitting, given her questionable mental stability during ''Tomodachi Life'', which Vinny comments on when one of her daggers ends up being made of wood.

* GratuitousLaboratoryFlasks: He uses beakers as his WeaponOfChoice. One of his attacks, "Unstable Formula", has him shake the flask and then spray its pressurized contents on the entire enemy team.

* KnifeNut: Her WeaponOfChoice as a swift thief is a knife or dagger of some sort. Fitting, given her questionable mental stability during ''Tomodachi Life'', which Vinny comments on when one of her daggers ends up being made of wood.

* SimpleStaff: His WeaponOfChoice is a staff, a common pick for clerics in general. He uses other blunt weapons too, such as [[DropTheHammer a squeaky hammer]].

The random Miis who come to the Travelers' Hub to seek help from the adventuring party for various quests, then disappear after said quests are completed. Those helped by Vinny's team include Starry-Eyed Cleric Series/{{Bill Nye|TheScienceGuy}} (who asks the party to help him defeat the [[BigfootSasquatchAndYeti Abominable Snowman]]), Artsy-Fartsy Chef [[WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse RonnieAnne]] (whose quest is to search for the hamburgers of Peculia), Orator Mage [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Blossom]] (whose quest is to rescue [[UsefulNotes/CanadianPolitics PM Trudeau]]), Thespian Cat [[Franchise/WinnieThePooh Pooh Bear]] (whose quest is to rescue his dog Toby), Starry-Eyed Scientist [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Lucina]], Punster Thief Bull (whose quest is to rescue [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Magikarp]]), Orator Vampire Creator/{{Tommy|Wiseau}} (who would later join the party in the post-game), and Singing Cleric [[VideoGame/{{Splatoon}} Marie]].

* NiceHat: The Mario Brother brimmed cap that he has by default as a Mii. It's so nice that Vinny took off the hat on his initial outfit (while still keeping its stat boosts) so that the default hat would be visible, though he doesn't do this with later hats.
