!!Kyasshi

A man-eating monster known in the local legends of Kya Village that the villagers decided to make a tourism scam out off by setting up faked encounters with the creature. However, things take a turn for the unexpected when it turns out Kyasshi is very real and very hungry for flesh.

* BreathWeapon: Kyasshi breathes fire, but if he hasn't eaten any meat recently, it will weaken into black smoke.

* NonMaliciousMonster: The reason it went on a rampage is because of it's hunger.
* ToServeMan: Kyasshi was known in legend as a man-eater, and when he awakens, he attempts to devour the local villagers. [[spoiler:That doesn't stop 80 from sparing the monster and taking it somewhere far from humans instead.]]

* SinkTheLifeboats: One of the Baltans attempts to pull this off on Yamato after shooting down his jet. Yamato jettisons his ride while a few hundred feet in the air, only for Baltan to clip the strings of Yamato's parachute, at which point Yamato henshins into Ultraman Eighty.

* HateSink: While most kaiju act on instincts or are merely violent in nature, Gamos sticks out for destroying entire planets and wiping out harmless alien civilizations ForTheEvulz. More often than not Gamos seems to take delight in committing genocide, and in a disturbing KickTheDog moment, he mercilessly kills Zuckal's family right in front of him after wounding Zuckal, before rampaging through Zuckal's home planet. When invading Earth, there is an extended scene where Gamos graphically wipes out innocent civilians ONSCREEN before enjoying its rampage. To this abomination of a monster, Earth is just another planet, one of many it has wiped out [[ButForMeItWasTuesday without a single care]].
** Gamos' BossSubtitles, '''Heinous Monster''', pretty much sums up what we'd expect from this monster.

* HateSink: While one can argue that Zakira was merely a predator acting on its instinct, the fact that the monster is shown deliberately killing an ''entire flock'' of mostly harmless Barus, not for food, but simply ForTheEvulz, and purposely targeting the defenseless infant Baru adopted by Takeshi, makes it a good candidate for this trope.

* BladeOnAStick: Many of the Rattlers carry tasseled spears with them, though they proved to be no match against UGM's ray guns.

Also called Negative Energy it's created from negative emotions from people which either create or awakening giant monsters.

Takeshi's students. Although there many kids that Takeshi helps out, the main ones we get to know are from his classroom. They are Hiroshi "Professor" Ueno, Junichi "Rakugo" Togyo, "Super" Susumu, and "Fashion".

* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs / BearsAreBadNews: Although he strongly resembles a T-Rex, his design was inspired by black bears. In fact, he was originally to be named Tsukinowaguma (the Japanese name for the Asian Black Bear).

* {{Expy}}: Nearly everything about Gauss except his appearance is inspired by Starbem Gyeron from ''Series/UltraSeven'', as in being a "NuclearNasty whose planet was blown up by the defense team".

* NuclearNasty: Was originally a peaceful alien animal, but after his planet was blown up as the crossfire victim of a superweapon, Gauss became a giant monster.
