* DatingCatwoman: She's an OSI Agent--ostensibly a heroic organization--involved with a {{Mook}} working for her organization's mortal enemy, the villainous Guild of Calamitous Intent.
* EveryoneHasStandards: She's willing to date a Guild Stranger because his evil organization at least has rules and standards. When she finds out he's secretly a mole for another supervillain group, the Peril Partnership, she dumps him because she considers them to be honor-less scum. She only takes him back after he becomes a double agent for the Guild.
* SamusIsAGirl: Played for all it's worth in her first appearance, complete with being voiced by a guy. Her following appearances have her voiced by Katie Flahive.
* StatuesqueStunner: At least six feet tall and gets a lot of attention from guys.

The original bodyguard of the Quest family from ''WesternAnimation/JonnyQuest'', whom the character Brock Samson was designed to [[AffectionateParody parody]]. In ''The Venture Bros.'', Race was an OSI agent who also knew Brock. Race was killed off quickly after his first appearance in the show, but appeared again later in the series in {{Flashback}}s.

A former OSI agent. She was at one point Dr. Venture's personal bodyguard and one-time lover. Claims to be Hank and Dean's mother. Brock claims she was a former member of the ''Series/AmericanGladiators'' who was thrown into an insane asylum after becoming criminally obsessed with Dr. Venture. Every few years she breaks out of the asylum and kidnaps the Venture brothers.

* BodyguardCrush: She had an affair with her former charge which eventually spiralled into a catastrophe for her.

* CrazyCatLady: She breast-feeds her cats and tries to kidnap Hank and Dean Venture.
* IWasQuiteALooker: She was an attractive woman when she worked for Rusty. But all those years of crazy really changed that.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: And she's only gotten crazier since.
* MultipleChoicePast: Her first appearance presents her with two possible backstories: she really is the mother of Hank and Dean and a former bodyguard and was rejected by Rusty for some reason, and she's just a crazy former American Gladiator whom Rusty had sex with at some point. "Shadowman 9: In the Cradle of Destiny" at least confirms that she was Rusty's bodyguard, since the Monarch remembers that she beat him up the same way she described in her flashback. Momma's Boys confirms that neither is completely true, but the first one is more true: she isn't the mother, but Rusty convinced her she was because he wanted her to help babysit them and have a good lay, which caused her psychotic break.
* ParentalIncest[=/=]IncestSubtext: She tells Dean to get undressed, calling his body "handsome" and tries to have him shoved up her lady parts to give "birth" to him (fortunately she fails). Though it's not made clear whether or not her motives are purely bat-shit maternal crazy or maternal and sexual. It's only implied that it's both. Also, she may [[SubvertedTrope not be their real mom. Though it may still be counted as playing the trope straight, even if that is the case, as they both saw each other as a family during the time and she did try to give birth to him by shoving him in her lady parts.]]
* PrisonRiot: Managed to convert a whole crazy house into her own little personal cult army and took it over at least until Hank and 21 loused that up. Then again she was a former OSI agent.
* RedHerring: Is implied in her first appearance to possibly be Hank and Dean's mother.
* StalkerWithACrush: Toward Rusty, who she used to bodyguard before Brock go the job. Every time she gets out of detainment, she tries to kidnap Rusty and/or he boys. It's not entirely her fault, as Rusty did sleep with her and, for the longest time, was implied to be the boys' mother.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: Is much taller and bigger than Rusty.

A former Soviet Olympic athlete and daughter of a legendary assassin, Molotov became a former Soviet assassin herself before turning mercenary after the Cold War. She and Brock have a passionate but unconsummated rivalry and relationship. She swings between ally and enemy with seemingly every appearance, depending on how much Brock's goals align with her own.

* EyepatchOfPower: Brock still has her eye saved in a jar. She's flattered to find out.
* FemmeFatale: Started like this, but became TheVamp by season 4.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: To the point that it is never exactly clear whose side she's really on; she often allies with a certain faction, only to reveal herself as a [[TheMole double agent]]. Currently working for the OSI.

* MeaningfulName: Her name is a play on "molotov cocktail" and a "cocktease." She's a deadly Russian who continually leads Brock on. He even refers to her as a cocktease in one of their first meetings.

* NavelDeepNeckline: Her default outfit is this - completely open all the way down to her navel.

* NeverFoundTheBody: In the season four finale, she and Monstroso presumably fall to their deaths, but all we see is Brock looking away from the limo exploding.

Molotov is a former agent of an unnamed Soviet intelligence organization who turned mercenary after the Cold War. She is the love of Brock Samson's life, although a titanium steel chastity belt and a promise to her deceased father prevent their full carnal union. Before she was a secret agent she was an Olympic athlete representing the Soviet Union. Her father and trainer was an undercover Soviet assassin.

* ArcVillain: She and Hunter Gathers orchestrate the events of the last three episodes of Season 3, so that Brock would kill the competition to her Black Hearts assassins. She also serves as the main antagonist of the 1-hour Season 4 finale, trying to break out Monstroso.
* TheBaroness: Parodied.
* BlemishedBeauty: She lacks her left eye and [[EyepatchOfPower wears an eyepatch over it]], and she's a pretty stunning FemmeFatale [[MsFanservice with]] [[{{Stripperiffic}} a very]] sexy [[SpyCatsuit outfit]].

* CorruptedCharacterCopy: Of ComicBook/BlackWidow, being a red-headed Russian spy-cum-assassin. Unlike Black Widow who eventually reforms, however, Molotov remains an amoral assassin for hire who becomes a spy for the OSI because the job pays better.
* DarkActionGirl: An assassin and ex-Soviet agent (and on-and-off love interest for [[SociopathicHero Brock Sampson]]), she combines this with TheBaroness.

* DirtyCop: They're actually spies, but they speak and act like a mix between cops and mobsters. They actually ''are'' the espionage version of this, being double agents for the Guild.
* DeadpanSnarker: Well, sort of. They are snarkers, and are completely deadpan, but somehow aggressively so.

* FinishingEachOthersSentences: Constantly doing this, even in cases when one of them finishes a sentence. In those cases, it's merely expanding on what the previous person said (such as [[ItMakesSenseInContext expanding "Emperor Doe" to "God Emperor Doe"]]).
* FaceHeelTurn: They're introduced as high-ranking O.S.I. agents when they help JJ in his conflict with the Monarch. Later, it is revealed they're [[TheMole moles for the Guild]].
* LazyAlias: Not only are their names fake, but they also relish in it. Other people aren't worth the consideration of making good fake names.
* MeaningfulName: They're meant to sound generic. Doe comes from John Doe. Calling someone "Mr. Cardholder" refers to the blanked names on credit card commercials.
* TheMenInBlack: A pair of "exterminators" sent by [[=OSI=]] to deal with Jonas Jr.'s "butterfly problem".
* TheMole: For the Guild.
* TapOnTheHead: Brock whacks Cardholder on both sides of his head with his (Brock's) boots. When Doe walks in, Brock knocks him out by throwing a copy of Giant Boy Detective
