Mirei writes songs befitting her personality, showing herself off as being above the other people, and deserving only the best. Her area is the Sea Paraiso at the amusement park, a calm area that has many male followers fawning over her. She wants to be the most popular Musician in Mobius and sees μ as a rival to her.\\\

Whereas Kotono is [[spoiler:a single mother who wanted a family with her ex-boyfriend and slut-shamed her mother until becoming one herself]], Mirei had a loving relationship with her parents until they fell into debt and left her behind after selling Sea Paradiso, which she thought of as the ultimat expression of their love for her. In contrast to Kotono being something of a TeamMom to the Go-Home Club, Mirei is an AlphaBitch who looks down on her fellow Musicians.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: The novel reveals her to be so misanthropic that she can't take any actions of kindness as genuine, seeing them as naive at best and deceit at worst. At one point she internally throws a fit at the protagonist even so much as looking at her, reacting as if he'd started prying into her and causing her to have convulsions, but when perspective is shifted back to the protagonist, it's revealed [[ButForMeItWasTuesday he was only looking at her to ask a completely innocuous question about the upcoming school festival]].

* EleventhHourSuperpower: The last of the Musicians to join Lucid as a party member, and she's even stronger than [[BigBad Thorn]].

* MaskOfSanity: Appears calm, well-mannered, and friendly when walking around as Marie Mizuguchi, wanting to help people when they are in need. But after dropping the charade, she makes it clear that she's anything but that and enjoys causing chaos for no reason other than causing chaos.

* TheUnreveal: Even among the Musicians, she's the odd one out because they know pretty much nothing about her background or her past, with the exception of what the protagonist learns in the Musician route and the light novel. Her personality stands out as well, since Thorn may be the one that is orchestrating everything, but Wicked has no real reason to go along with her or stand against the Go Home Club. She just wants to kill the Go Home Club members for the sake of fun.

* NotSoDifferent: His initial reaction to Lucid having an invisible body has him believe that they have a complex about their looks in reality, too. Not that he listens when Lucid tells him that's not the case.

* ShutUpKirk: His initial reaction when Suzuna claims the two of them [[NotSoDifferent are similar]].

* AmbiguousGenderIdentity: It's unclear exactly what physical gender Thorn has in Mobius. Natsume himself is male, but has taken on the outward appearance of the female Ichika. However, Ike-P mentions Thorn "sounds like a man when she talks directly to μ." The fact that Thorn's body gets censored with several censor bars in the Hot Springs could indicate that either she doesn't want Lucid to know what she actually looks like beneath the clothes, or it's because Natsume doesn't know what Ichika looked like in a bathing suit and couldn't replicate it.

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: It's implied that even Thorn wasn't entirely acting on her own desire, having suffered from being overexposed to the build-up of negative emotions μ has been collecting. As evidence of this, she initially intended on rebrainwashing the Go-Home Club back to being regular high school students living in Mobius. Near the end of the game, however, when μ can no longer handle the accumulated negative emotions she's been absorbing, she wants them all dead.

* TheCorrupter: She plays on the doubts of others and sway them to her side. This is how she recruited the Ostinato Musicians and offering them a chance to fulfill their wishes thanks to μ's power. Zigzagged in ''Overdose'' regarding her recruitment pitch with the President, as she only recruits them so they can understand the Musician's point of view.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: Its revealed near the end of the game that Thorn, originally believed to be the long dead Ichika Saotome, is actually Asuka Natsume, one of Shogo and Ichika's friends using her appearance as his avatar in Mobius. He did so to become closer to Ichika and mentally torment Shogo, who was guilt-ridden by her suicide.

* FaceDeathWithDignity: Three times. Once in her Character Episode, when Thorn has Lucid accompany her in re-enacting Ichika's suicide, though μ makes it clear that Thorn has done this multiple times and heals her each time. Second time is after being defeated in Grand Guignol, when she chooses to fulfill the promise of dying alongside Ichika, which Shogo never managed to do. Third time occurs in the bad ending, where she throws herself off the Landmark Tower after her wish to destroy the real world has come to pass

* ItsPersonal: Her slight with Shogo. To be more exact, Natsume despises Shogo because Ichika asked Shogo to die with her and not him and Shogo backed out at the last second.
