As a result, Kelly became the first challenge dominator by winning Individual Immunity reach Day 39. Kelly ultimately ended as the runner up after losing to [[BadassGay Richard]] [[TheStrategist Hatch]] at final tribal council and now returns after 15 years to become the Sole Survivor.

However, before her elimination in 7th, Monica made her mark by calling out Russell Hantz on his gameplay, telling him he wouldn't win. Now Monica is back for a second chance at the million dollars.

* GenreSavvy: As a fan of the show who learned from his mistakes, Jeremy ended up becoming this in several instances that led him to victory.
** He early on made an alliance in order to surround himself with easy post-merge targets, such as Joe, Savage, Stephen, and Tasha. Joe, Savage and Stepehn were voted out for being threats while Tasha was the main target until the very end, which kept him safe the majority of the game.
** He didn't tell anyone his wife Val is pregnant until Final Tribal Council because he didn't want people to think of him as an endgame threat since he could garner sympathy through that.
** He was able to find the clue to the Bayon idol in Episode 3, and subsequently managed to grab the idol at the next challenge undetected. He also managed to find a second idol, which he used to help save his closest ally Stephen and garner his vote.
** He hadn't told anyone about him finding the said idols, and used the fact that no one knew where it was to his advantage by having him and Stephen bond over searching for the thing. He kept this up with his second idol until he played it for Stephen. By the time of the finale he still had one idol which no one knew he had, and it ended up saving him.
** And at the very end, he subtly baited Spencer, his only real competition for the title of SoleSurvivor, into having a freak-out and making threats to Jeremy if he didn't take him to the end. Spencer ended up disgusting the jury, and Jeremy garnered all the votes in a FlawlessVictory.

* OvershadowedByAwesome: He deliberately invokes this to himself by aligning with previous alpha males (see GenreSavvy above).

* GenreSavvy: As a student of the game he shows himself to be quite savvy in terms of how to stay off the chopping block early on. As soon as Spencer arrived at camp, he started helping out with setting up the camp, making sure he's not seen as weak. and said how he wanted to have more one-on-one conversations with people in the first few days than he did in all of his last season.

* GenreSavvy: She managed to find the clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol in the first episode, and throughout the rest of the season shows herself to be a cunning and knowledgeable player.
** WrongGenreSavvy: Kelley assumed that the Idol was hidden around the camp. When she found the clue, Kelley was shocked to learn that the clue told her that the Idol was at the Immunity Challenge.

* GenreSavvy: She tried voting Jeremy out in the finale due to perceiving him as the biggest threat within the group. She might have failed, but she was right.

* GenreSavvy: As a result of writing and podcasting about Survivor for several years, Stephen has picked up a lot of knowledge about the game. Despite this, or perhaps even because of this, Stephen struggles in the game due to wanting to prove that he's not all talk and that he is actually a "Survivor Know-It-All" that can use the knowledge he's gained to succeed in the game, but just ends up causing him to make unnecessary moves which put a bigger target on his back.

* GenreSavvy: Terry took advantage of Abi-Maria being alone and easily swung her to her side.

* MyGreatestSecondChance: Subverted '''''Hard'''''. He managed to at least make the merge his first time around and had a relatively impressive performance. Here he's the first person voted out.

* BrokenStreak: In previous [[Characters/SurvivorAllStars All returnee]] [[Characters/SurvivorBloodVsWater player seasons]] that featured alumnae from the inaugural season, someone usually makes it to the Top 3 by the end of the game. Her elimination ended that trend. For added DramaticIrony, she's ''the 3rd jury member''.

* BrokenStreak: Vytas' elimination ended the trend of the first boot in [[Characters/SurvivorAllStars All returnee]] [[Characters/SurvivorHeroesVsVillains player seasons]] being a female.

* BrokenStreak: In [[Characters/SurvivorAllStars previous]] [[Characters/SurvivorHeroesVsVillains returnee]] [[Characters/SurvivorPhilippines player]] [[Characters/SurvivorBloodVsWater seasons]] that featured alumnae from the second season, someone usually ends up somewhere in the top five by the end of the season. At 6th place, she came up ''really'' short on keeping that trend. However, thanks to ''Cambodia'' bucking convention and going into the finale with the top six instead of the top five Kimmi was able to maintain the streak of having at least one ''The Australian Outback'' player in the final episode in every season where they are featured.

* CoolOldGuy: He's the oldest guy in his respective tribes, and is considered a funny, {{Badass}} one too.

* {{Badass}}: Jeremy is a very solid, all-around player in not only challenges, but also in terms of strategy and socializing.

** BadassBookworm: Considering last season she was on the Brains tribe, and her intelligence has helped her just as much as her strength in challenges.

** BadassBookworm: On top of being strong in challenges, Spencer is a very intelligent young man (he was on the Brains tribe in his original season for a reason). To put it another way, in Episode 12, he solved the relatively difficult shapes puzzle in ''15 seconds'' faster than pretty much every other contestant on Survivor has ever solved a puzzle.

* {{Badass}}: Despite coming in with the worst record of anyone in the season (placing 14th out of 18 her first season), she has proven herself to be a very competent player and has been making the most of her second chance.

* {{Badass}}: Several challenges have come down to a showdown between him and Joe and he finally beat him in Episode 13 after Joe passed out from exhaustion.

He has so far consistently proven himself to be one of (if not ''the'') the strongest challenge competitor(s) of the season.
** To go even further, by the time he's voted out at the Final 8 he'd won ''15'' out of the ''21'' challenges that had occurred. Which means he has won roughly about 70% of the challenges.

* BadassBoast: Kelly claimed to still be {{Badass}} in her campaign video.

* AwesomeMcCoolname: It was {{Badass}} to hear then, it is still {{Badass}} to hear now.
* {{Badass}}: That scene where he chops down that tree was pretty an {{Badass}} moment. He also won his struggling Angkor tribe a barbecue reward single-handily.

* RatedMForManly: {{Badass}}? Check. HotBlooded? Check. PermaStubble? Check. He also has a tendency to seemingly look down upon those who do not exhibit this trope.

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: In general, Jeremy has shown himself to be ''extremely'' self-aware and aware of the game happening around him (the only instance of him not being aware of what is really going on is when Stephen was blindsided), which has ultimately granted him a lot of control during the game. He's also the only person going into the finale who had yet to receive a vote. All of this is due in part to his strategy of aligning with many of the bigger threats in the game so that they'd be targeted before him.

* HeroicBuild: Though he actually came into the game with less muscle mass this time around [[DangerouslyGenreSavvy to make himself appear less threatening]].

* SenselessSacrifice: He gave up one of his two hidden immunity idols to save Stephen, who was immediately voted off at the following tribal council.
