* FemmeFatale: Canonically recognized as the sexiest female character in ''LightNovel/{{Schwarzesmarken}}'', and the 666th's principal antagonist.

** Was the main reason why she comforted Marai at the end of her ColdBloodedTorture, even after getting the information she needed before MercyKilling her in Martyrs. Note that the torture was much worse until Beatrix stepped into handle it.

* MsFanservice: Recognized in-universe as having an absolutely godly body. That thigh gap...

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Hit hard with this in Martyrs, where two out of three of her deaths result from her attempting to be selfless or do the morally right thing.
** [[ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight Violates orders]] in Irisdina's route to betray the 666th to the BETA, standing by their side and saving most of them. [[BeingGoodSucks Even though she knew that abandoning them would remove a major obstacle in her path]], she still chose to stand by them as she cherishes loyalty tremendously(see KindnessButton).
** Personally stays behind to cover her subordinates retreat when they are outmaneuvered, all the while under a missile barrage, setting her up for Theo to [[spoiler: backstab her]].
** This is even worse when you consider that she saved Theo's life by diving in front of Irisdina earlier.

* ShesGotLegs: The longest legs of any of the girls in the visual novel.

* TokenGoodTeammate: The most overtly kind and most selfless of the Stasi characters, to the point that she disobeys her orders from Schmidt to fire on unarmed protesters, [[spoiler:and helps Theo save Lise in Lise's route by holding off rebel forces.]]

* AdaptationalHeroism: Not really any more heroic in the anime then the light novels, but comes of as less villainous due to his more monstrous qualities and background either being cut or rushed over to focus on the other Stasi. This led to some anime viewers coming to view him as more likable and sympathetic then either Beatrix or Lise, two of his victims.

* EvilMentor: "Mentored" Beatrix and many other Stasi.

* GreaterScopeVillain: Serves as Beatrix's mentor and direct superior. Though he doesn't directly antagonize the 666th throughout the story like Beatrix does, Axmann [[spoiler: is basically the BigBad of Theodor's character arc, even if Theo doesn't realize it. Axmann was responsible for killing Theo's parents, having him tortured (resulting in Theo's paranoia), and mindbreaking his sister, Lise (among many others) into becoming a Stasi plant. On a larger scale, he's also manipulating most if not all factions in the series, and in the end takes down both Gretel and ''Irisdina'' before dying. Not that Irisdina, or anyone else knew while clandestinely negotiating with him; he was that good in hiding his tracks.]] Furthermore, Axmann is responsible for Jürgen's death, resulting in Beatrix's StartOfDarkness and creating the primary drive of conflict between her and the 666th.

* NervesOfSteel: Talks [[spoiler: Lise]] into a trap while aimed at by a dozen rifles and a TSF gun. If nothing else, the guy has brass balls.
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: [[spoiler: Lise tells Theodor stories about becoming Axmann's "Dog" and having served a multitude of Stasi officers]].

* WellIntentionedExtremist: Willing to use Soviet-supplied nukes against the BETA to protect East Germany. [[spoiler: Subverted when Beatrix reveals that he's a double agent working for the Soviets.]]

* UndyingLoyalty: [[spoiler:To Theodor: Also to Beatrix, who saved her from Axmann and gave her a place within the Werewolves. Notably, this is played for drama when the two loyalties come into conflict.]]
** Averted or downplayed in the anime, to the point that her motivation for doing what she does comes off as nonsensical.

* AcePilot: TheAce of Schwarzesmarken. Jürgen was the top graduate at the Air Academy and was chosen to be the DDR's representative for the Soviet's TSF program. Being one of the first great TSF aces, Jürgen pioneered many of the tactics and fighting techniques that were used and refined by later pilots throughout ''Franchise/MuvLuv'' such as ''Laserjagd''.

* AdaptationalVillainy: [[spoiler:The anime muddled it's message on Lise's guilt by making her obviously enjoy carrying out evil and tormenting others for the Stasi.]]
** Even more perplexing, as the VN shows her obviously regretting what she has to do, up to [[spoiler:ending herself from the immense guilt of killing Katia in Irisdina's route, all the while crying out for forgiveness.]]
* BigBrotherAttraction: Loves her adopted elder brother Theodor deeply, so much so that she'd be willing to do anything or sacrifice anything for him.
** Note that in the anime, it's played more as selfish love, and implies that Lise never loved Theo and simply wanted to own him.

* GoodEyesEvilEyes: Alternates between these later in the show, [[spoiler:after it's revealed that she's a Stasi spy. Her "evil eyes" give off a look of despair, while her "good" eyes are much like the other characters.]]
* KicktheDog: Everything in episode 08. She even twirls her hair like an evil mustache as she smirks sadistically.

* LoveMakesYouCrazy: Her ranting to Theodor amounts to this in episode eight. [[spoiler:She claims that everything she did in order to survive, including killing anti-government people, and using her body, was all in order to have Theodor survive, so that she could one day be with him again. Unfortunately she feels that other women, particularly Irisdina, have gotten in her way with this. She ends up killing Pham after the latter hits her with a rocket in an attempt to save her. Lise ends up killing her instead.]]
** Averted in the anime, where her sacrifices for Theo are downplayed and its implied that she's working with the [[spoiler: Stasi]] because she enjoys it and that she doesn't care about Theo so much as wishes to own him.

* UndyingLoyalty: [[spoiler:To Theodor: see ForcedIntoEvil above. Also to Beatrix, who saved her from Axmann and gave her a place within the Werewolves. Notably, this is played for drama when the two loyalties come into conflict.]]

* TallDarkAndBishoujo: Is this in ''Bernhard im Schatten''. Irisdina remarks that she's very aloof, better developed, and more "mature" than the other girls at her school. She gradually loses the aloofness once she starts [[DefrostingIceQueen warming up]] to the Bernhards, but retains the physical aspects well into adulthood. Subverted, as her aloofness was caused from depression and lack of social skills, and rather than making her popular, makes her lonely and an outcast.

* MagnificientBastard: Like father, like daughter. Abel was the man responsible for turning a simple, but powerful internal spy agency into what we see by the time of Schwarzesmarken. He also plays all the sides against one another, showing a sympathetic face to Jürgen and the NVA all the while playing the stasi too.

* NoHistoricalFiguresWereHarmed: His character is based off of the "Blonde Beast," [[Characters/NaziGermany Reinhard Heydrich]], the second in command of the SS who was infamously known as the "Hangman of Europe" and architect of the holocaust. Like Heydrich, Axmann has a disdain for ideology, considering those around him who genuinely believed in the Reich to be below him. The only thing that mattered to Heydrich was gaining power, and he'd even use the holocaust as a means to get it. Even Hitler himself noted that Heydrich had a LackOfEmpathy, calling him the man with an iron heart.

* MyGirlBackHome: Was this in the prequel for Jürgen while he was away testing MiG's and fighting the BETA. Luckily, the photos and letters she sent to him were not [[FatalFamilyPhoto fatal]].

* {{Badass}}: He dives into the battlefield during episode 5's "Operation Neptune" and manages to kill several heavy laser-class BETA. He even kills two such BETA ''with his CIWS knife.''

* {{Badass}}: [[spoiler:At the story's climax, piloting his old [=MiG-21=] and still feeling the effects of Stasi torture, he briefly overpowers and severely-damages Beatrix's [=MiG-27=] before going down, essentially providing the assist to Theodor's fieldgoal.]]

She easily juggles multiple 666th (who are one of Europe's best squadrons), and dominates Irisdina in their duels.

* AntiVillain: Most evident in Irisdina's route. Sure, she's a caustic JerkAss [[MagnificentBastard Magnificent Bitch]], but given her terrible life, that's somewhat understandable. She still has a [[NobleDemon code of honor]]

** Subverted, as what she really wanted was for things to go back to the way they were, with Iris as her friend rather then enemy.
