* {{Fallen Hero}}ines: Many of Shadow Galactica's members in the manga are former Sailor Guardians that have turned evil. Those that aren't (the Sailor Animamates) killed the Sailor Guardians of their planets to gain power, though both manga and anime mention that they are being [[MindControl controlled]] by bracelets that Galaxia has put on them.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The Animamates certainly seem to think so, considering that until they discover the identity of the solar Sailor Guardians, they target high-profile figures that are either idols, experts in their fields, or burgeoning rookies, implying that the Animamates were former celebrities of their home planets. Sailor Lead Crow even lampshades how she never expected a bunch of ordinary-seeming schoolgirls turned out to be the local Sailor Guardians they've been hunting for.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: As the [[spoiler:apparent]] leader of Shadow Galactica, she's easily the most powerful villain in the franchise next to Chaos. In all incarnations she gives a brutal {{curbstomp}} asskicking, taking down the Guardians in single blows and the Starlights only last as long as they do because she toys around with them. Usagi doesn't even defeat her in a straight battle [[note]] Though she refuses to fight with her after knowing her backstory[[/note]] but only wins by psychological means through showing her kindness that results in her surrendering the battle. Even here, Sailor Moon needed the help of allies to accomplish this.

* EvilVsEvil: Lethe and Mnemosyne recall her conquest of their planets as a good thing, as they were wastelands locked in unending wars. The two consider the "everlasting silence" Galaxia brought [[ALighterShadeOfBlack preferable to that misery]].

* AmbiguousSituation: How they can be twin sisters, as they're indeed said to be, while representing different planets.

* DarkSkinnedRedhead: In fact, her hair and skin tones are rather similar.

* EvilCounterpart: In ''Sailor Stars'', Aluminum Siren and Lead Crow are basically Usagi and Rei, but working for the bad guys. This is used to [[spoiler: explore how Rei would act if Usagi died, and Rei's death ends up resembling Siren's closely.]]

Also the fact that the Animamates killed the Guardians of their home planets before we're even introduced to them. Considering Sailors Uranus and Neptune were in total control of themselves while wearing the bracelets, the leading interpretation is that the bracelets might only be influencing a person depending on the need for it.
** When Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune betray Sailor Galaxia, Galaxia outright states that she never thought that there was someone that could resist her bracelets' control, which implies Uranus and Neptune did something BeyondTheImpossible. However, the circumstances that led Sailor Tin Nyanko to become a Sailor Animamate are unknown, and it's also not known if Sailor Iron Mouse, Sailor Aluminum Siren and Sailor Lead Crow were also brainwashed and used to be good Sailor Guardians or if they allied with Galaxia willingly.

* UncertainDoom: Or rather "Uncertain Resurrection". In the anime, all the Animamates but Lead Crow die onscreen by having their bracelets destroyed. Uranus and Neptune were killed in the same fashion and came back when Galaxia released their Star Seeds, so it's possible the Animamates (who were all originally Sailor Guardians in this version) were brought back to life as well. Lead Crow was sucked into a vortex instead, so she's less likely to have recovered, but then all the Guardians were revived from having their bodies completely ''dissolved''.

*** When Aluminum Siren returns without a Star Seed like she said she'd have, instead of apologizing or groveling Siren simply replies she didn't know there'd been so many Sailor Guardians. Galaxia's voice is dripping with barely restrained rage and her fists are trembling as Crow begs Siren to apologize while Siren says it wasn't exactly her fault, like she's almost implying it's ''Galaxia's'' fault for not telling her about the other Guardians. [[spoiler: She coldly murders Siren as she and Crow beg for another chance.]]
*** When Sailor Star Fighter and Sailor Moon tell her they won't surrender their Star Seeds and that she won't get her way, the last thing Galaxia says before attacking them and before the Inner Guardians HeroicSacrifice is that she will make them regret talking to her that way.
*** When she tells the Outer Guardians that Queen Nehellenia gladly served her during the opening arc of the fifth season, Saturn rebukes Galaxia and says she only manipulated Nehellenia's hatred. Galaxia gets pissed.
*** When she accuses the Sailor Starlights of being cowardly traitors who abandoned their homeworld for survival, Sailor Star Fighter calls her a liar, and Galaxia fiercely says she's not wrong and attacks the Starlights with killing intent.
** A bigger one, though, is getting injured. With the power to back up the position of strongest Sailor Soldier, she believes herself to be completely untouchable, so when the Starlights finally manage to land a powerful blow that injures her, [[MinorInjuryOverreaction she completely flips out]] and decides to kill them, declaring she doesn't want their star seeds anymore and calling injuring her an unforgiveable crime.

* BreakingSpeech: Gives Usagi a nasty one in the manga, puncturing holes in her hopeful belief that the carnage wrought and the deaths caused can be undone.
** In the 90s anime she tries a variant of this, as she spends a huge part of episode 196 toying with the Sailor Starlights by attacking them while she repeatedly tells them how they are nothing more than dust to her and how everything they did to stop her was ultimately meaningless.

* HeelFaceTurn: In both the manga and ''Sailor Stars''. [[spoiler: In the manga it happens when Usagi convinces her that what she really wanted was to be loved and showed her that she needed love, purity, and compassion to be a Sailor Solider instead of pure power, and in ''Sailor Stars'' it happens when Usagi convinces her that she still has good in her after expelling Chaos from her body.]]

* IWorkAlone: She seems to not believe at all in feelings of friendship and love [[spoiler: at least while she is possessed by Chaos, that is]]. In the anime, she outright states in an internal monologue that the only one you can trust in the entire galaxy is yourself, enjoys watching [[spoiler: Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune betray their teammates ([[FakeDefector or so she thinks]])]], and said internal monologue implies it's not the first time she pits Sailor Senshi from the same Solar System against each other for her own amusement. Her non-belief in teamwork is also subtly implied by how Galaxia apparently never told to the Sailor Animamates the real Star Seeds belong to the Sailor Guardians, preferring to do everything herself.

** In the manga, she quickly causes [[FromBadToWorse everything to go to hell the whole arc]] [[KillEmAll by murdering everyone except Sailor Moon and Chibi-Chibi over the course of the arc.]]
** In ''Sailor Stars'', she's a very serious villain with incompetent henchmen that are ''[[OhCrap shit scared]]'' of her with good reason, and causes the season to take a MoodWhiplash whenever she appears. Within two episodes of deciding to deal with the Senshi herself, [[spoiler:she's killed all of them besides the Starlights and Moon.]]

* TheJuggernaut: Sailor Galaxia is just plain unstoppable, casually wiping out anyone unfortunate enough to become her target-including Sailor Venus at her mightiest. It's only when Eternal Sailor Moon goes all-out against her that she meets her exact match... And that only prompts her to go all-out.

** In ''Sailor Stars'', she's a very serious villain with incompetent henchmen that are ''[[OhCrap shit scared]]'' of her with good reason, and essentially causes the season to take a MoodWhiplash whenever she appears.

* VillainBall: Like Queen Beryl before her, Galaxia takes the YouHaveFailedMe attitude a little too seriously, to the point that she'll likewise kill one who's discovered the Sailor Guardians' identities before they can divulge the information.

* CatsAreMean: Subverted. She is the most sadistic and cruel of the Animamates in the 90s anime, but she tries encouraging the Sailor Guardians to flee from Galaxia.

* DevilInPlainSight: In the manga she enrolls at Juuban High under her civilian persona and befriends Usagi.

* GoodWearsWhite: When she is partially healed by Sailor Moon, half of her outfit becomes white, and she is revealed to have a good and kind personality when she isn't being controled by Galaxia's bracelets.
