* TheBrute: Rather than any weapon, he seems to focus on pure strength. Downplayed in that unlike Maine, he seems to succeed more through strategy and ruthlessness than by his actual strength. His beating of Maine is a good example considering he actually hits Maine twice to piss him off, then waits for him to try to strike back, which leaves his guard fully open.

The Insurrection is a military force made up of soldiers who have broken off from the UNSC. They serve as the main antagonists for the Freelancers. They are possibly [[MythologyGag a nod to]] ''Halo'' canon, in which prior to the war with the [[ScaryDogmaticAliens Covenant]], Earth (and human-controlled space) was undergoing a civil war between the UNSC and a coalition of rebel groups, for the control of human colonies. Incidentally, it was during this civil war the SPARTAN-II program was initiated, as a countermeasure against the rebellion.

->''"I can't believe he trusts [[TheMole that bitch]] after what she did to us."''
-->'''Voiced By:''' Hannah Hart

The only known female member of the Insurrection [[spoiler:except Connecticut]], this soldier is notable for both her gender and the fact that she has her face shown, one of the few members of the Insurrection to do so.

!!Associated Tropes
* BadassNormal
* BlondesAreEvil: Depending on one's perspective, considering the possible HeroAntagonist situation.
** PowerBlonde: If taking the other side.
* DarkActionGirl
* [[spoiler:DisneyVillainDeath: Dropped to her death along with the Demoman's "robot arm" by Maine in Episode 9 of Season 10.]]
* EliteMook
* FanNickname: Many, including "Heartbreaker" and "Hot Lips", both due to her lipmark insignia.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice[=/=]BayonetYa: Carolina impales her in the chest with the bayonet of Maine's Brute Shot in Season 9. It doesn't kill her, however.
* KnifeNut[=/=]DualWielding: Wields two combat knives in her one-on-one fight with Carolina in Season 10.
* LongHairIsFeminine: Subverted. Her hair is longer than any of the other women in the prequel segments, but she's just as action oriented and vulgar as any of them.
* SirSwearsALot: Or rather, Lady Swears-A-Lot. She has exactly three lines. Two include the word "bitch", and the last includes "fuck".
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Unless one counts [[spoiler:Connecticut]], she is the only female Insurrectionist known.
* UnexplainedRecovery: Not as bad as the Demoman, but still unexplained.

A civilian scientist, he is a high ranking official in the Insurrection, and has the briefcase that holds the code to opening [[MacGuffin the Sarcophagus]]. He only appears in Season 9.

!!Associated Tropes
* BaldOfEvil: For a certain degree of "evil". See HeroAntagonist on the whole group.
* CoolShades: Not quite SinisterShades, since we don't see enough of him or know enough about him to tell anything nefarious about him other than his allegiance.
* DevelopmentGag: His name is a reference to one of the animators, Seb Rhee.
* TheEvilGenius: Again, for a certain degree of "evil".
* [[spoiler:GoryDiscretionShot: Maine's assassination of him.]]
* NonActionGuy
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Unlike most of the Insurrection, he is one of the few characters who is rendered without any armor at all.
* [[spoiler:OhCrap: The look on his face just before the GoryDiscretionShot at the end of Episode 14 of Season 9.]]
* SharpDressedMan
* [[spoiler:SurprisinglySuddenDeath: Maine takes him out this way, jumping off a bridge, landing straight on the hood of his car, and, as it manages to swerve only twice in the driver's surprise, kills the official.]]

!Twin Insurrectionist Turret Soldiers

->'''Insurrectionist Leader:''' ''Mow 'em down!''
-->'''Voiced By:''' Michael Jones and Lindsey Tuggey

Two soldiers who guard the entrance to the computer room in which the Leader is staying in Season 10, these two seem to communicate through giggles and weeps, and used their GatlingGood guns to keep the Freelancers at bay for some time. One has a frowning face on his faceplate, the other a smiling one.
----
!!Associated Tropes:
* AlienBlood: Though presumably not alien, their death-by-crushing results in a huge splatter of yellow.
* AxCrazy: Seemingly, by the sounds of their communication with one another.
* BerserkerTears: The frowning face soldier.
* [[spoiler:DeathFromAbove[=/=]ForkliftFu: Killed when the Mysterious Blue Guy caused the crane holding a box to throw them off of the side of the platform, then drop the box, killing them both.]]
** [[spoiler:DisneyVillainDeath: Sort of. It's unknown if the fall or the box killed them.]]
* EliteMooks
* TheFaceless
* GatlingGood: And seemingly limitless ammunition.
** BottomlessMagazines: More noticeable than others, due to almost never stopping firing.
* GigglingVillain[=/=]TheHyena[=/=]LaughingMad: The Smiley Face soldier.
* RelationshipVoiceActor: Just once, but Michael Jones and Lindsay Tuggey are an OfficialCouple in reality, and were paired as a team here.
* TriggerHappy: The Smiley Face soldier. Emphasis on the "happy".
* TheUnintelligible: They do "talk", but in sounds, not words.
