* VagueAge: Due to being anthropomorphic it's hard to tell their age, if their childish tendencies are due to them being young or being animals.

* NeatFreak: He wants everything to be orderly no matter the cost.

* StraightMan / [[OnlySaneMan Only Sane Pet]]: Actually played with a bit. When compared to the eccentricities of the other pets, he seems to be the only one who can ground everyone when the time calls for it. But then there are times when he shows the [[SuperOCD true extent of his]] [[ScheduleFanatic need for organization]], and it turns out to just be his ''own'' personal quirk. Besides, he's not as sane as Blythe.

She’s interested in dinosaurs for their strength and ferocity and the song in the series finale also implies that she likes karate movies.

* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: A girly and giggly pink monkey who is also rowdy and rambunctious with an adventurous spirit. She has a fascination for dinosaurs and are her favorite prehistoric animals. The song in the series finale also implies that she likes karate movies.

* DogsAreDumb: Downplayed. While not as dumb as Vinnie, she has her moments in Season 1, like mistaking a male dog for her sister (which, according to said sister, has happened ''several'' times before) and needing help finding a hat that's ''[[IdiotBall on her head]]''. She is also admitted to sometimes ''forgetting she is a dog''. She still has signs of this in later episodes, like [[LiteralMinted interpreting Blythe's "don't be seen at the party" as "come in disguise"]] and being too infatuated with [[BrainlessBeauty the vet's dog]] to know that he's not a doctor.

[[note]]This is rather clever considering that there are no hedgehogs in the US, leading to the pageant judges believing him to be a "new and strange European breed".[[/note]]Which leads to Russell being stuffed into a blue, frilly dress, complete with make-up and a NiceHat. [[spoiler: He wins.]]
