* HeroesWantRedheads: Rose actually has pink hair and Asher starts fancying her later.

Mike is the bubbly one. He's [[GenkiGuy energetic]] and [[ThePollyanna optimistic]], though [[CoolLoser not necessarily well-liked]] or a social expert. [[DetermiNator He never gives up]] and sometimes even acts as {{the conscience}}.

* CoolLoser: Mike is friendly, likable and creative, yet his peers see him as just another uncool kid.

* PeekABangs: It covers his left eye.

* PeekABangs: It covers her left eye.

* PeekABangs: It covers her left eye.

* PeekABangs: It covers her left eye.

** Evelyn gets to school in her dad's car, she reassures [[OverprotectiveDad him]] she'll be okay and waves him goodbye. When she steps inside, [[DudeMagnet she's greeted and complimented by a few of her male classmates]], [[NiceGirl to which she responds back just as nicely]].

* AntiHero: [[TokenEvilTeammate Stands out]] from the rest of the protagonists as this, lacking Mike's and Mara's [[NicePerson kindness]], Asher's [[HotBlooded passion]] and Evelyn's [[ActualPacifist pacifism]]. * TheChick: Fills this role better than [[BrokenBird Mara]] and [[DeadpanSnarker Jordan]].

* AmbiguousDisorder: She's prone to panic attacks and cannot stand loud noises, but it's never stated what kind of disorder she has, if she does.
** The sequel reveals that [[spoiler: Mara subjects herself to [[SelfHarm cutting]] and quite possibly has [[TheDiseaseThatShallNotBeNamed an eating disorder too]]]].

The main characters of Intertwined are three boys and three girls who wind up becoming friends by chance. Although relucant at first, they come to love each other like family and stand up for each other no matter what.

[[TheSmurfettePrinciple The only girl in the trio of bullies]]. She's very much the AlphaBitch of the story, but events might conspire [[HeelFaceTurn to]] [[JerkassRealization change]] [[TookALevelInKindness that]]...

* LeeroyJenkins: [[spoiler: His HeroicSacrifice can be seen this, especially since it was rather impulsive and honestly idiotic to charge a strong girl with a gun, as Mara tells him afterwards]].

* AntiHero: Stands out from the rest of the protagonists as this, lacking Mike's and Mara's [[NicePerson kindness]], Asher's [[HotBlooded passion]] and Evelyn's [[ActualPacifist pacifism]]. [[spoiler: He's still more of a hero than [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist Jordan]] is, though. [[HeelFaceTurn At least until the sequel]]]].

* RapunzelHair: Along with having PeekABangs, her hair is tied into a long ponytail to the side.

* BaldHeadOfToughness: In contrast to most of the girls who have RapunzelHair, Mara has most of her hair shaved off. Deconstructed because this is something she hates about herself since she ''knows'' it makes her appear more tomboyish.

* RapunzelHair: Like most of the other girls, Rose's hair reaches down to her waist.
