%%Let's set some ground rules for consistency, shall we?
%%
%%English names for everything, except to note name changes in the character entries (and in cases where we don't have English names yet).
%%Shorthand for the second game should be capitalized as mk2, not [=Mk2=] or mk-2. For the third game, use Victory, not V, since the English name has been confirmed to use the former, and the Japanese title has both.
%%Do not call mk2 a sequel, except where it's the name of a trope. mk2 is a continuity reboot, and therefore not a sequel to anything.

This page lists all characters in ''VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaMk2'', the second game of the ''VideoGame/{{Neptunia}}'' series (and its remake), and the {{trope}}s associated with them. {{Tropes}} specific to their portrayal in the other games of the series belong on the pages for those games. Notably, the (Super Dimension) characters introduced in the first game are ''not'' the same as their Hyper Dimension counterparts.

[[folder:[=CPUs=] and CPU Candidates]]
The Goddesses of Gamindustri. The [=CPUs=] and Nepgear were sent to battle Arfoire 3 years ago, only to lose to her and wind up trapped for the next few years. Nepgear being the only one that was freed from this must get the help of the other CPU Candidates to free the [=CPUs=] still trapped in the Gameindustri Graveyard.

!!General CPU & CPU Candidate Tropes
* AwesomeButImpractical:
** Superior Angels. What it does is that it hits all enemies for 9999 for 15 times. The downside? You need all four CPU Candidates at 100 AP and have at least 100 SP. The SP gaining isn't that bad, but in a game where later enemies do a OneHitKill on you, AP gaining isn't easy as it seems.
** The [=CPUs=]' DLC CombinationAttack Guardian Force also falls for this. It's arguably stronger and has a wider range but costs more SP; basically it's more awesome but also more impractical to use.
** Just even using HDD form is already impractical to use in this series thanks to the constant SP drain.
** Neither of these are an issue in the remake.
* BoundAndGagged: Arfoire keeps the [=CPUs=] and Nepgear like this for three years. It's even the name of the trophy you get for viewing the CG image of them.
* BiologicalImmortality: [=CPUs=] cannot die, but can be killed.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: All [=CPUs=] and CPU Candidates have a power symbol in their eyes when in HDD.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
** Neptune is '''Sanguine''', being the most outgoing and cheerful of the four.
** Noire is '''Melancholic''', being solitary and prone to hide her feelings.
** Blanc is '''Choleric''', being the quickest to anger.
** Vert is '''Phlegmatic''', being the voice of reason in the group and generally the nicest.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:In the normal endings, the four goddesses sacrifice their lives to destroy Arfoire for good. However, [[SurprisinglyHappyEnding after Nepgear finishes her speech, the four goddesses turn out to be A-OK]].]]
* ImmortalityBeginsAtTwenty: Neptune mentions in ''Victory'' that all [=CPUs=] in her timeline, i.e. ''mk2'', are born like this.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various consoles and handhelds.
%%* PhysicalGod
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: They have lived for centuries.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: In the True Ending, [[spoiler:Both Blanc and Vert think about the idea of giving one of the former's sisters to the latter.]]
* SuicideForOthersHappiness: During the Conquest Ending, [[spoiler:most of the CPU Candidates voluntarily let you kill them after their CPU sisters force Nepgear to kill them. Uni gets a special mention, as she says she wants to die because her older sister is already dead, so she has nothing left to live for except her sister's dying words of hope that Gamindustri can be saved, which requires that Uni allows herself to be killed by Nepgear. Neptune plays this straight, smiling and stating simply that Nepgear has to kill her or all of their efforts until then will be for nothing.]]
* UnskilledButStrong: The four goddesses. To put it in a nutshell, they have very few skills despite having the best stats of the whole team. DLC and ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' fixed this by turning them all into [[GameBreaker Game Breakers]].

!!Nepgear/Purple Sister
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiHorie (Japanese), Creator/ChristineMarieCabanos (English)

[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Nepgear_3883.jpg]]

The Protagonist of the Game. Three years ago, she along with her sister and the other [=CPUs=] were trapped in the Gameindustri Graveyard. She was only able to escape with Compa and IF's aid, after which they set out on a journey to find the other CPU Candidates and released the [=CPUs=]. [[spoiler: She can also choose to sacrifice the other Goddesses to gain an UnholyHolySword or in ''[=Re;Birth2=]'', instead get a more powerful weapon for less (read: no) sacrifices]]. She represents the fictitious N-Gear. The names of said console and Nepgear herself are inspired by the UsefulNotes/GameGear.
----
* Adorkable: She's shy and timid, but sweet and kind.
* BadassArmfold: This is how Keiji Inafune appears to Nepgear.
* BadassBookworm
* BeehiveBarrier: Her Panzer Blade attack causes her enemies to generate one for every swing, [[RuleOfCool just so she can shatter them all in the process of beating them to death.]]
* BigWordShout: During her Slash Wave attack.
--> '''Nepgear:''' ''GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!''
* BishieSparkle: Gets these a few times, notably when Uni asks to join the party.
* CatchPhrase: Her oddly-constructed "What the goodness?!"
* CluelessChickMagnet: Pretty much every other girl on the team aside from Neptune express or generally indicate interest in her, either [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe to be their little sister]] or romantically. She usually doesn't even notice, or assumes they're joking.
* CombinationAttack: The only one who is a required party member for a majority of the combination attacks, the total number (including the DLC power up) being at [[spoiler: ''10''']].
* DuelBoss: With a few characters.
* DuetBonding: When Neptune and Nepgear produce their IdolSinger video.
* EvilFeelsGood: A borderline example, [[spoiler:when she runs Linda through with the Demon Sword]].
--> '''Nepgear''': "[[spoiler:I should have done this a long time ago.]]"
* GameplayStorySegregation: When you get the lilac mk2 processor unit, Nepgear gets a cutscene where says she's become stronger but if you look at the stats for the lilac and lilac mk2 processor units, the lilac processor unit has higher stats than the lilac mk2.
** Fixed in the remake - the lilac mk2 set has higher total stats than the lilac set in every category except HP, SP and elemental resistance, which both sets have none of.
* GirlNextDoor: Subverted. While she herself doesn't examplify the trope, she is considered one in terms of personality by the concert at Leanbox.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: When you summon Keiji Inafune, his eyes glow before Nepgear delivers the final blow.
* GoshDangItToHeck: Anything happens, she'll almost always say "What the goodness!" in the English translation.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: One of Nepgear's Skills has her use Keiji Inafune like a blade.
* IntimateHealing: IF decides to go this route to snap her out of it and get her to go [[SuperMode HDD]]. Compa voices disappointment that she wasn't the one who got to get [[LesYay "Lovey-Dovey"]] with Nepgear.
* LeeroyJenkins: Tries to take on a dragon at the behest of "Chika" and almost gets owned by it before being rescued by Cave.
* LightningBruiser: Both she and Nisa think she's a JackOfAllStats when she's really this. If you play her right, she's a good tank, dishes out damage harder than the rest, is a required character to all of the [[CombinationAttack Combination Attacks]], and yet the {{Irony}}? She's a GameBreaker if you place her as a ''support role'' because she's the only one who can ''get rid of the [[{{Cap}} Damage Cap]]'' allowing other characters to damage enemies beyond 9999.
* LonelyAtTheTop: [[spoiler:In the Conquest Ending. By the end, she has killed all the other goddesses and united the world under her rule, and those of her friends who are still alive leave her after Arfoire is defeated.]]
--> '''Nepgear''': "[[spoiler:This is the dark path that I've chosen to walk alone.]]"
* MixAndMatchWeapon: As Purple Sister, she wields a human-sized version of [[VideoGame/VirtualOn Temjin's MPBL]].
* NiceGirl: Nepgear is a relatively friendly and kind-hearted girl at heart, and willing to help others in need.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:In the Conquest End, she thinks of using the demonic sword to vanquish Arfoire, and ends up becoming the only goddess left in the entire world. Unfortunately, the world is then headed towards destruction, for if there is no competition, there can be no progress. CFW Arfoire even outright tells that to Nepgear.]]
* PurpleIsPowerful
* ShoutOut: Most of her skills are based on [[VideoGame/VirtualOn Temjin's]] weapons.
* SiblingYinYang: While Purple Heart has a black-dominant costume, Purple Sister has a white dominant costume.
* ShrinkingViolet: She's quite shy and insecure, although she does come out of her shell more and more as the game progresses.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her powered-up costume.
* TookALevelInBadass: Starts off as meek, shy, and timid, unlike her older sister. By the end of the game, she becomes [[spoiler:the next goddess of Planeptune.]]
* [[spoiler:VillainProtagonist: Becomes one in the Conquest End. She's not happy about it.]]
* WaveMotionGun: Her Beam Rifle as Nepgear and the [[CreatorCameo Inafune Beam]].
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:Gets called out by other people on her actions in the Conquest End.]]
* WrenchWench
* YoungerThanTheyLook: She happens to be the younger sister of Neptune, yet she appears older than Neptune.

!! [[UsefulNotes/PlayStationPortable Uni/Black Sister]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EriKitamura (Japanese), Creator/SarahWilliams (English)

[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Uni_6474.jpg]]

Noire's Sister. She initially comes to the Guild looking for something to do when they meet the party, who are unaware of her identity as Lastation's CPU candidate, nor knowing of Nepgear's identity as Planeptune's Candidate. She represents the Playstation Portable.
----
* ACupAngst: Brought up after Nepgear suggests that Uni pads outside of HDD.
* {{BFG}}: Her weapon of choice. Even more so when she becomes Black Sister.
** SmallGirlBigGun
** Some of her guns imply that she's actually just making them look larger than they really are by virtue of her size.
* BoringButPractical: Charley Horse! does no damage nor does it help guard break, but it will lower even a boss's avoidance so someone else can actually start doing damage. In [=Re;Birth2=], where due to using Victory's combat mechanics and thus has [=AGI=] determine both turn order and evasion (instead of having evasion being its own stat, AVI), Charley Horse not only screws with the target's evasion, it also pushes them down the initiative queue.
* BreastExpansion: Inverted. Turning into Black Sister causes her to flatten, and this actually gets brought up by Nepgear at one point. This is [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] in the anime's OnceAnEpisode HilariousOuttakes.
-->'''Nepgear:''' Uni! Your boobs!
-->'''Ram:''' Now they're as small as ours, Uni!
-->'''Rom:''' We're flat buddies!
-->'''Uni:''' [[ACupAngst I'm not too happy about being in that category]].
* CameraAbuse: One of her skills kicks the camera and shuts it off. It's used to lower the accuracy of enemies.
* GirlishPigtails
* LoveConfession: In her character info quotes, and surprisingly short and simple.
--> "I love you Nepgear."
* NamedWeapons: [[spoiler:After you kill Brave The Hard for the final time (that is, in the True Ending), Brave powers up her Black Sister weapon and gives her the Brave Cannon.]]
* {{Stripperific}}: As Black Sister.
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards Nepgear, in much of the same vein as Noire is towards Neptune. {{Downplayed}} in that Uni doesn't go tsundere as often as Noire, and overall has a much nicer relationship with Nepgear.

!! [[UsefulNotes/NintendoDS Rom/White Sister]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiOgura (Japanese) , Creator/CarrieKeranen (English)

[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Rom_Neptunia_3229.jpg]]

Ram's older twin, and Blanc's younger sister. She is rather shy around others. She meets the party in Lowee after getting Kidnapped by Underling, like her sister. However like (and because of) her sister, she didn't trust Nepgear at first until she helped her find her missing pen. Together, Ram and Rom are the Nintendo DS incarnate.
----
* HesitantSacrifice: [[spoiler:During the Conquest End, where the rest of the [=CPUs=] and candidates face death with some level of dignity, she and her sister face it breaking down, grieving, crying and stating that they don't want to die, before finally resigning themselves to their fates.]]
* PaletteSwap: The Blue White Sister. Averted as Rom, her hair is shorter than her sister's.
* PolarOppositeTwins
* RedOniBlueOni: Blue Oni to Ram's Red Oni.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: As White Sister.
* SiblingTeam
* TerseTalker
* ThemeTwinNaming
* WhiteMagicianGirl: Although she plays this straight, Rom has a number of decent offensive skills as well.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KaoriIshihara (Japanese), Creator/ShelbyLindley (English)

[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Ram_8628.jpg]]

One of Blanc's twin sisters, and thus one of Lowee's CPU Candidates. She is more blunt and outgoing than her twin, Rom. She meets the party after they rescue Rom from Underling, however she is initially untrusting of Nepgear. Together, they both represent the Nintendo DS.
----
%%* BlackMagicianGirl

* HoldYourHippogriffs: Ram: "We exercised so much I could eat a horsebird. I'm starving!"
* {{Pun}}: "I may be small, but don't be''little'' me!" One can only imagine the groaning the writers shared when this line was suggested.
* PaletteSwap: The Pink White Sister. Averted as Ram, her hair is longer than her sister's.
* PolarOppositeTwins

[[folder: Makers]]
These adventurers are the personifications of various Game companies. They are willing to help Nepgear in her quest to resue the [=CPUs=] and stop Arfoire.

!!General Maker Tropes
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of video game producers.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: In most settings, these characters would be considered fairly powerful. Only problem is, they're working with a bunch of PhysicalGods. IF is the only one who seems bothered by this though, so she takes to [[TrainingFromHell training alone]] to keep up with Nepgear. After Nepgear catches her doing this, IF bans her from any personal training until she's a SuperSoldier.

!!Creator/{{Cave}}
-->'''Voiced by:''' Mayuko Takahashi (Japanese), Creator/LaurenLanda (English)

[[quoteright:270:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cave.png]]

A cool, calm and collected girl that rescues the party from a UriahGambit set off by Underling, who disguised herself as Leanbox's Oracle. She is a member of Leanbox's SMD organization.
----
* BadassFingerSnap: Her final move on her LimitBreak.
* BeeAfraid: Her 'Black Label' skill sometimes has her summoning a pair of mechanical bees to pelt the enemy some more after her initial barrage. No points for guessing what [[VideoGame/DonPachi game]] this references.
* BigDamnHeroes: Saves Nepgear after she went overconfident that she could take on a monster by herself.
* BulletHell: Her LimitBreak where ''enemies'' are on the receiving end of it.
* [[ActorAllusion Company Allusion]]: The other characters think that she must deal with [[BulletHell Crowd Hell]] pretty often to be able to move so effortlessly through a crowd without touching anyone.
%%* CleavageWindow
%%* SpectacularSpinning
* GameBreakingBug: None of her equipment from the store is kept in your inventory in a NewGamePlus, meaning you're going to be spending a large amount of credits to keep her geared through each playthrough if you intend to use her. You can get around this annoyance, somewhat, by using her DLC equipment instead.
%%* GirlishPigtails
* LargeHam: Somehow her SupermodelStrut, her [[HairFlip flinging of her hair]], and her LimitBreak must be done with such ham for someone who's quiet. [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Kind of like someone actually.]]
* OptionalPartyMember: Through DLC.
* RedOniBlueOni: She is mostly the Blue Oni to 5pb.'s Red Oni. Though in some aspects, notably the extrovert/introvert detail, they are reversed.
%%* ShowgirlSkirt
%%* StuffBlowingUp
* SupermodelStrut: She walks with a purposeful, confident sashay that has her swaying her legs and hips from left to right. Best seen during her EXE Drive animation.

!! Creator/{{Falcom}}
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AkemiKanda (Japanese), Creator/XantheHuynh (English)

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/falcom_8.png]]

A humble adventurer that has seen her fair share of travels, which she's wrote about in her novels. Wielding her Dragonslayer, she's always willing to help out anyone in need. Represents the company of her namesake along with its [[VideoGame/{{Ys}} most]] famous [[VideoGame/TrailsSeries properties]].
----
* ActionGirl: A noted adventuress who's more than happy to fight monsters.
* ActorAllusion: Her Japanese voice actress voices [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky Estelle Bright]], the heroine of another famous Creator/{{Falcom}} franchise.
* {{BFS}}: All of her weapons are different kinds of dragonslayers.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: Her outfits let her dress as [[VideoGame/TrailsSeries a member of the Bracer Guild]], [[VideoGame/{{Ys}} Adol]], [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky Kloe's school uniform]], and [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsToAzure Rixia]].
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: And the girls ''really'' do want Falcom, to the point of threatening Nepgear if she hits on Falcom. It's close to the point of an UnwantedHarem.
* {{Expy}}: To [[VideoGame/{{Ys}} Adol]] of course.
Thankfully rectified in the remake.
* HeroesGoneFishing: One of Falcom's chirper events has her and Nepgear doing this, referencing Estelle's love of fishing in her home series.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Makes frequent illusions to many past adventures she's had, along with her tendency to show up in places where her sword would be helpful to the party with little explanation.
* HumbleHeroine: Despite her accomplishments as a seasoned heroine, she's nothing but humble to Nepgear and her friends.
* NiceGirl: Nothing but kind to those she meets.
* OptionalPartyMember: Through DLC in ''mk2''. She is a non-DLC Optional Party Member in ''[=Re;Birth2=]''.
* PenName: Alod Christin/Adell Christine.
* SwordBeam: Her Dragonslayer can fire beams.
* TomboyishPonytail: Sports a brown ponytail in this incarnation.

[[quoteright:170:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Kei_Neptunia_5496.jpg]]

A shrewd businesswoman with a bit of a reputation for making deals that border on the Faustian, and will not take kind to those who do not fulfill their end of the bargain. She is Lastation's Oracle ([[{{Bifauxnen}} and yes it is a she]]).
----
* BerserkButton: [[ILied Breaking promises]].
* {{Bifauxnen}}: She looks very much like a boy and behaves like one, too.
* {{Bokukko}}: Uses the pronoun "boku".
* BoyishShortHair: It really adds to her boyish look.
* DeadpanSnarker: Very snarky and actual rivals IF in this department, much to her annoyance.
* HiddenBuxom: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the artbook]], she's a B-cup who binds her breasts.
* LadyLooksLikeADude: Everyone thought she was the first male to ever be introduced in the series but surprisingly, she's all woman.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Despite looking like a child, she is said to be older than her appearance. Her actual age has not yet been disclosed.
* PromotedToPlayable: In ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' along with the other Oracles, and was added to the PC version of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' as DLC in September 2018.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Notice a pattern yet?
* RoyalRapier: Not royalty, but shares this fighting style with Noire in ''[=Re;Birth2=]''.
* TheSpock: As seen here:
--> '''Kei''': I'd rather not waste our precious time discussing the mythical creations known as emotions.\\
'''Mina''': That's not a good answer. If you want her to open up to you, you need to open up to her.\\
'''Kei''': Adult conversations consist entirely of valid logic and efficient syntax.
* TheStoic: She's so composed that [[spoiler:she's the only Oracle in the Conquest Ending who accepts Nepgear killing her nation's [=CPUs=] given the circumstances, though she does admit to feeling discomfort while talking with her after Noire and Uni's deaths.]]
* TomboyishVoice: Her deep voice doesn't help her gender issue either.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: A lot of people thought that she was a he for understandable reasons.
* {{Workaholic}}: Is similarly obsessed with work and business like Noire. Although Kei is more obsessed with business, while Noire is more obsessed with work.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Asuka Nakaya (Japanese), Creator/DorothyEliasFahn (English)

[[quoteright:208:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Mina_Neptunia_6112.jpg]]

Lowee's Oracle and Ram and Rom's magic teacher (and the butt of many of their pranks).
----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She is usually nice, formal and soft-spoken, but sometimes when she is angry, she is giving {{Death Glare}}s.
* BerserkButton: Rom and Ram acting really childish puts her on Blanc's usual level of anger.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: After Ram and Rom are saved from Trick, pretty much the only thing she takes away from the situation is that [[{{Squick}} licking someone can be a sign of affection]]. Nepgear honestly hopes that she was joking.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Blue eyes, blue hair.
* AnIcePerson: When she becomes playable in ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' she possess ice skills like Rom, Ram, and Blanc.
* MotherlySidePlait: She is not a mother in the literal sense but she does act like a mother to Rom and Ram and she has the hair style to match.
* PromotedToPlayable: Like the other oracles she becomes a story related character in ''[=Re;Birth2=]''. She was added to the PC version of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' as DLC in September 2018
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Much more calm than Blanc despite having a temper as well.
* TokenAdult: Among the Rom, Ram, and Blanc she is the most mature, level headed, and calm.

Leanbox's Oracle and a FanGirl and sister figure to Vert (who does not have an actual sister, since Microsoft didn't have any portable platforms).
----
* DramaQueen: Boy, does she go off for the stupidest reasons. However, [[spoiler:during the Conquest Ending, she has a genuine reason to cry and [[BigNo scream]]]].
* HomoeroticSubtext: Seems to be ''very'' obsessive with Vert.
** Were it not for her occasional denials this wouldn't even be able to be considered subtext. They share a bed, Vert knows her well enough that she can tell perfectly when [[PlayingSick she is or isn't pretending to be sick]], and apparently Chika is usually more willing to play around during Vert's massages. Chika can also be seen [[SkinshipGrope grabbing Vert's chest]] while [[{{Squee}} looking extremely happy]] doing so in the True Ending.
* LipstickLesbian: Whether she admits it or not their is no mistake that if she does have feelings for Vert she falls directly into this category.
* PromotedToPlayable: In ''[=Re;Birth2=]''. She was added to the PC version of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' as DLC in September 2018
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: No really, she's a lot more mature than she lets on, but only when it comes to her work. She did come up with a way to get her people to stop following ASIC all by herself, [[spoiler:despite screwing it up]].
* UnknownRival: To Nepgear for Vert's affection.

Arfoire's most loyal follower, and the de-facto leader of Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime. An aspect of the Deity of Sin, she tapped into the power of Shares and used them to defeat and trap the [=CPUs=] in the prologue, cementing the cult as the dominant religion. She the personification of Fanboy/Fangirlism.

* CurbStompBattle: In the prologue she faced off against the four Goddesses, alone. The result would seem to be the four of them [[BadassInDistress being captured and bound]] by naughty tentacles.
* TheDragon: While technically the Four Felons would count as these, her position as the leader among [=CFWs=] cements her as this to ASIC as a whole.
* EvilCounterpart: More or less outright stated to be the case in the Colloseum match against her in the next game, ''Victory''. She is referred to as "The CPU of the CFW."
* EvilRedhead: RoseHairedSweetie she is not.
* EyepatchOfPower: An ominous one covers her right eye.
* {{Expy}}: To the first game's version of Arfoire. She even shares the same voice actress.
* FanBoy: The personification of this.
* GodsNeedPrayerBadly: Her power comes from the Shares belonging to ASIC, therefore as the four nations begin extorting Shares back, Magic progressively becomes weaker, which downgrades her from being invincible to defeatable.
* OneWomanArmy: At least during the prologue, when she is holding the majority of the world's Shares. Five goddesses (The four [=CPUs=] plus Purple Sister) versus her. She curb stomped them.
** Even after weakened enough near the end of the game, she is still more than a match for the CPU Candidates together to defeat. She is only defeated after ASIC takes over Planeptune, which weakens her Share further.

After Magic defeated the [=CPUs=] and sealed them in the Gamindustri Graveyard, she sent Judge to watch over them. He is ruthless in battle and proved to be a difficult obstacle for Nepgear, IF and Compa, cutting their plans to free the other [=CPUs=] short at first. He is the personifation of people who gave up after their games flopped.
----
%%* TheBerserker
* [[BlackDudeDiesFirst Black Ax Crazy Robot Dies First]]
* CameBackWrong: Of the four, he's the only one [[{{Subverted}} not to]]. It helps that he was already completely insane.
* CurbStompBattle: The actual fight with him will end this way for either you or him. He is powerful enough to wipe out most of your team in a single turn, but just before the fight, Nepgear gets an extremely powerful new processor set and a GameBreaker skill called Celestial Severance. Your CPU Candidates also receive the Superior Angels skill shortly before entering the area, another ridiculously powerful skill. And to top it all off, everyone in your party begins the fight with a full 300 SP. So the fight is pretty much a race to see who will utterly annihilate the other first.
* CreatorBreakdown / RageQuit: The personification of this.
* EyeScream: This is how Nepgear, IF, and Compa escape him the first time they have to fight him.
* TheGrimReaper: As the personification of game creators giving up after poor sales, he's been designed to look the part at the very least. Despite this, Magic is the one with [[SinisterScythe the associated weapon]].
* HumongousMecha: Looks like one.
* PsychoRangers: Apart from Magic herself, his wings resemble that of the [=CPUs=] to a limited extent. He and Magic also served as Nepgear's counterpart in AISC, as his goal is to keep the [=CPUs=] contained in the graveyard while Nepgear's is to free them.

----
* AffablyEvil: The "more chivalrous than evil" CFW Brave. He is described as such, and offered to let Nepgear and Uni free before attacking when he found them in Endless Zone.
* AntiVillain: Brave believes that piracy is the only way for poor children to play and enjoy games and he fights for their sake.
* CameBackWrong: In the True Ending and Holy Sword Ending, [[spoiler:though as far as Arfoire's concerned he came back right as he's reduced to being a BloodKnight who no longer cares for children]].
* EvilMakeover: In the True Ending, his color scheme turns [[DarkIsEvil red and black]].
* FlamingSword
* HotBlooded
* HumongousMecha: Looks like a cross between ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'', [[Anime/{{Gravion}} Sol Gravion]], Anime/BraveExkaiser, [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Thrudgelmir]], and Anime/DancougarNova.
* MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning: In the True Ending, he is reprogrammed to attack Uni and Noire. [[DyingAsYourself When defeated, he told Uni he will always be by her side,]] even if he isn't around, and uses his remaining data to create a new assault rifle for Uni.
* PerpetualPoverty: The personification of this. Specifically the resentment of not having the money to keep up with game releases.
* NobleDemon: As the personification of not having enough money to buy new games, Brave fights to protect children's joy, and doesn't want to see their smiles fade. He's like Santa if he were a villainous mecha. No, really.
* PsychoRangers: ASIC's counterpart to Uni. OppositesAttract indeed... Interestingly apart from Trick, he resembles the [=CPUs=] the least, being a HumongousMecha with more airplane-like wings
* TokenGoodTeammate: He's an AntiVillain at best and his goal is to protect children's joy.
* WorthyOpponent: Sees Uni as this and the feeling is mutual.

[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Underling_3214.jpg]]

Not much there is to say about her, other than she is an Underling. She confronts the party at every turn hoping to destroy the mascots before they empower Nepgear. Like Arfoire and Magic, she also uses ASIC's shares to her advantage.

* AvengingTheVillain: The final fight against her in the True Ending is because [[spoiler:[[RevengeBeforeReason she wants revenge]] for them [[ItsPersonal killing Magic twice]]]], hoping that maybe [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou she can kill them before]] Arfoire [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt destroys the world]].

%%* BlackShirt
* [[GodNeedsPrayerBadly Enforcer Needs Shares Badly]]: Linda's power comes from the fact she can tap into [=ASIC's=] Shares. As those get worn down, she steadily becomes less of a threat.

** Linda beats feet when CFW Magic [[spoiler:starts committing genocide in Arfoire's name]].
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Well, Everyone Calls Her "Underling": Linda receives this label from Nepgear and company, much to her dismay. Even Warechu keeps calling her "Underling" despite multiple demands telling him not to, and to add insult to injury, the name above the text box every time she speaks is changed from "Linda" to "Underling."
* FakeUltimateMook: There's nothing fake about how dangerous she is in her first encounter in gameplay terms, but narratively speaking that's only because she had an immense situational advantage. As the party properly gears up and decays [=ASIC's=] shares, she rapidly goes from serious threat to absolute joke.
* {{Fangirl}}: Some of her dialog implies that she's one for Magic.
* GoldfishPoopGang: So much so that ''the game eventually stops bothering to make her a boss fight.''
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold[=/=]JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Zigzagged. She's kind to civilians, but that's usually so she can sell ASIC merchandise to them. She then feeds a stray cat and recruits it into ASIC, though she has no plans to actually make it do anything evil, which suggests she's not all bad.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: She's an evil brat at the best of times, but it's really hard to feel sorry for her [[spoiler:in the Conquest end. One could nearly forgive Nepgear's EvilFeelsGood moment, just because it's Underling she offed]].
* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: [[spoiler:Manages to fatally injure Vert in the Conquest Ending by ambushing her while she's exhausted from fighting Neptune and Negpear. She attempts to do the same to them, but ends up killed for it]]

!!Neptune/Purple Heart
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)

Nepgear's sister, Planeptune's CPU and general protagonist of the Franchise (though not this game). She represents a Scrapped SEGA console called the Neptune.
----
* DuetBonding: When Neptune and Nepgear produce their IdolSinger video.
* FastballSpecial: [[spoiler:Neptune gets tossed by the three goddesses towards Nepgear in one of the endings.]]
* GenkiGirl: In her normal form
* GirlyRun
* GlassCannon: As Purple Heart with the default Processor setup in ''mk2''.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Uses [[KatanasAreJustBetter Katanas]], [[{{BFS}} Broadswords]], and [[LaserBlade Laser Blades]]. Ultimately, many will see that KatanasAreJustBetter; turns come up sooner and Purple Heart only uses katanas, regardless of what she had equipped as Neptune.
* InTheNameOfTheMoon: One of Neptune's battle quotes involves this.
* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* MundaneUtility: In an optional scene, the CPU Candidates encounter Neptune in HDD form and assume trouble is afoot. Neptune then says that she transformed just to meet the height requirement of an amusement ride. Nepgear and Uni lampshade it. Even funnier, due to Purple Heart being a LadyOfWar, she doesn't share the same excitement as her human personality does, which makes the ride less enjoyable for her.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Says as much in one of her character info page quotes.
--> "Nepgear ain't never going to marry! I'm banning the idea forever!"
* JackOfAllStats: As Neptune in ''mk2''.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: While she definitely has her moments in the other games, this one is particularly jarring because she completely drops her joker act and actually calls Nepgear by her full name during the Conquest ending; understandable since she is trying to convince Nepgear to [[spoiler:kill her]].
-->'''Neptune:''' It's time to grow up, Nepgear!
* PaperFanOfDoom: Her DLC weapon is this.
* PurpleIsPowerful
* ShipTease: Many of the official art has her doing this with Noire.
* SplitPersonality: Neptune is a GenkiGirl, while her alter ego Purple Heart seems to be more of a LadyOfWar.
* TotallyRadical: She tends to use some 80's/90's slang such as "bad dude", her death cry of "I'm... outies...", and even "totally rad" at one point. She also has a tinge of [[ValleyGirl Valley Girl]] in her voice. Keep in mind that [[JustifiedTrope she is supposed to represent]] Creator/{{SEGA}}, [[JustifiedTrope who were all about being]] TotallyRadical in the 90's.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Not her but her "[[SlapOnTheWristNuke CPU Neptune]]" skill from the first game.

CPU of Leanbox and the most endowed of the [=CPUs=]. Has a thing for raiding, and BoysLove {{Dating Sim}}s. She prepresents the Xbox 360.
----
* ActorAllusion: Japan-only. Shares the same weapon as [[VideoGame/CrossEdge Mikoto]]. Not to be confused with the other [[Manga/ACertainScientificRailgun Mikoto]].
* ThisIsADrill: Green Heart's spears transform into these in ''mk2''.
* BerserkButton: She mentions one on her character info page.
--> I don't know who it was, but whoever invented the [[AntiPoopSocking fatigue system]] must [[FelonyMisdemeanor be just a world class terrorist]].
* CosplayOtakuGirl: [[spoiler:Forces Nepgear to wear her costumes in her ending.]]
* {{Determinator}}: Takes a lot of punishment [[spoiler: before she finally is killed in the Conquest Ending]].
* FragileSpeedster: Both forms, though as with all CPU forms, Green Heart can be customized away from this.
* GamerChick: A hardcore gamer who plays over night without any problem. One of the reasons why Chika hardly spends time with her is because Vert is either busy with work or with games.
%%* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold
* MeaningfulName: "Vert" means "green" in French, and she's wearing green, which also represents the Xbox 360.
* MercyKill: [[spoiler:During the Conquest Ending route, she requests Nepgear to finish her off with the cursed sword since she has no hope of surviving after the beating Linda gives to her.]]
* OneeSama: Nepgear points out that she is the one most like a big sister among the goddesses, and that it's rather ironic considering she actually has no real sisters. Vert explains that it's merely because [[CloudCuckoolandersMinder she had to keep the other three in line.]]
* PhenotypeStereotype: Blonde, blue-eyed, busty American.
* {{Underboobs}}: She plays this trope straight. Neptune even refers to her as such.
* YaoiFangirl: Her room is filled with yaoi merchandise, a rude awakening for any man who wants to ask her out.

!![[UsefulNotes/PlayStation3 Noire/Black Heart]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AsamiImai (Japanese), Creator/ErinFitzgerald (English)

The CPU of Lastation, who is known for her [[{{Tsundere}} general attitude]]. She represents the Playstation 3.
----

* {{Expy}}:
** Somehow, Noire really resembles Azusa from ''Manga/KOn''. It's mildly implied that the resemblance was what inspired her to learn how to play a guitar.
** Both Noire and Azusa resemble Kooh from ''VideoGame/{{Pangya}}''.

* GlassCannon: As Black Heart with the default Processor setup.

----

* GoOutWithASmile: [[spoiler:During the Conquest Ending. After getting run through with the demon sword, she smiles and comments on how it hurts less than she expected, before breathing her last.]]
* HairTriggerTemper: Don't her calm exterior fool you, she gets angry quite easily.
* LadySwearsALot: Like the first game, she's undoubtedly this, though this incarnation of her downplays it in her human form quite a bit.
* LetsGetDangerous: Once you get Lowee's shares to 50% and go into the city, she immediately greets Nepgear by saying she'll get serious.
* MeaningfulName: "Blanc" means "white".
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Like Neptune, she says as much in her character info page.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Whenever Blanc is angry one of her eyes will glow while half of her face is shadowed. Same as White Heart, who even has red eyes naturally.
* SeeYouInHell: In the side event mentioned in DecidedByOneVote, Blanc says that she will follow Underling to hell for the vote that will make her the most popular of all the [=CPUs=].

* CombinationAttack: Aside from Nepgear, she also gets one with Compa. [[VideoGame/AgarestSenki2 It looks like Weiss and Janus' Hazard Strike on crack.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: This is about a third of IF's dialogue due to feeling like the [[OnlySaneMan Only Sane Woman]] compared to her teammates.
* FacePalm: Occasionaly in ''mk2''.
* FlashStep: Only if you get the DLC to power them up.
* ImpracticallyFancyOutfit: Her sleeves are a bit too long and partially cover her [[BladeBelowTheShoulder Qatars and Claws]].
* InSeriesNickname: Iffy. Ai-chan (As in the "I" in IF) in [[DubNameChange Japan]].

* TheLancer
* NotSoStoic: While she'll try to keep things serious, she'll go into a HeroicBSOD over her phones breaking or start blatantly BreakingTheFourthWall when [[RageBreakingPoint pushed too far]].
* PayEvilUntoEvil: In mkII, the Guild's primary activities are, as Nepgear quickly points out, "pretty wicked". It's okay, though, because lately they've chosen to target criminal syndicates instead.
-->'''Nepgear''': That reminds me, [[WhatExactlyIsHisJob I wanted to ask what your organization actually...does.]]

-->'''Nepgear''': That all sounds pretty wicked.
-->'''IF''': Don't get the wrong idea. We've only handled criminal syndicates lately.
* SecurityBlanket: Her cell phones. One optional bonding scene in the remake has her drop and break the screen on one, and quickly descend into a blubbering mess. Compa points out that she always does this when her cell phone is taken away before leading her to the cell phone repair shop.
* SeeYouInHell: IF will sometimes say this whenever she kills an enemy.
* [[StraightMan Straight Woman]]: In one of the Chirper events, Neptune tells her that she can "take the role of the straight-faced punchline chick."
%%* TeamDad
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Between her and Compa, she's the Tomboy.
* TooManyBelts: IF's design looks like she has a ton of belts on her clothes.
** And neck collars for everyone!
** She's only got two, three if you count the collar. One for her pants and one on her coat to hold her nine cellphones. Admittedly, the cuffs of her coat do look a bit like belts, but they're not.
* TransparentCloset: After Compa's ChickMagnet moment, Nisa calls attention to this, claiming that the closet door just opened. Nepgear is the only one that seemed surprised, everyone else just [[ShipperOnDeck finds it completely adorable and immediately shift to topic to wedding plans]] while she repeatedly insists she meant to say something else.
** She becomes incredibly irritated and depressed, to the point of running off, when Nepgear asks Compa who she likes more, Neptune or IF.

* CuteClumsyGirl: Compa always seems to fall down whenever she is shown after a battle all the time.
* DeadlyDoctor: She discusses with Nepgear how to use her syringe as a weapon. Nepgear is understandably worried.

Nippon Ichi then [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica feels that her body is becoming a lot lighter,]] [[spoiler: [[WhamEpisode but gets]] chewed on by a random monster.]]
** Kaori Mizuhashi is pretty much the ''best'' person qualified to voice a character based on Nippon Ichi, considering the fact that she has voiced a main character in almost every single Nippon Ichi game and is practically an unofficial mascot for the company anyway. Her credits include Culotte in ''VideoGame/LaPucelle'', Laharl in ''VideoGame/{{Disgaea|HourOfDarkness}}'', Marona in ''VideoGame/PhantomBrave'', Pram in ''VideoGame/MakaiKingdom'', Hanako in ''VideoGame/Disgaea2CursedMemories'', Shauna in ''VideoGame/SoulNomadAndTheWorldEaters'' and Asagi in ''VideoGame/PrinnyCanIReallyBeTheHero'' as well as various minor roles.
*** For the English dub as well, NISA (the company) seems to have mirrored this by having Michelle Ruff voice Nisa. She is in plenty of NISA titles as well, Etna in ''VideoGame/{{Disgaea|HourOfDarkness}}'' (sans the Atlus-published [=PS2=] version), Salvatore in ''VideoGame/Disgaea3AbsenceOfJustice'', Desco in ''VideoGame/Disgaea4APromiseUnforgotten'', Asagi at one point, and various minor roles. In fact, she is probably the most common actor NISA uses, and if not, certainly at least the most common 'female' VA.
%%zce* TheBigGirl
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: She never appeared in the series again after this game, due to bad blood between Nippon Ichi, Idea Factory and Compile Heart. Her role in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth1 Re;Birth1]]'' was written out entirely, and her role in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth2SistersGeneration Re;Birth2]]'' was taken by RED of all characters, who had been suffering from this trope since the first game.
** She has, however, been making the rounds as a cameo DLC character in recent Franchise/{{Disgaea}} games. Unlike most characters, though, she doesn't reference her home series in her description - it merely reads that she's an anthropomorphism of NIS. She still mentions Game Industri in her dialouge in various games though.
** This is apparently an example of RealLifeWritesThePlot: NIS and Compile Heart had a falling out that led to a number of NIS workers quitting to go work at Compile Heart. The exact reasons are unknown (Though it is apparently at least partly NIS's fault due to the rumors of mistreated employees tied to the falling out), the two companies have stopped working together and NISA eventually stopped bringing over Complie Heart's properties outside Japan.

The instrumental version of the opening is even her EXE Drive.

* LadyOfBlackMagic: Some of her skills look like this.
* LuminescentBlush: She gets one when she finds IF watching her in one of the scenes.
* ThePowerOfRock: Her method of employing magical attacks, and her stats are skewed in favor of this over resorting to [[InstrumentOfMurder beating things to death with her guitar]].
* RedOniBlueOni. She is mostly the Red Oni to Cave's Blue Oni. Though in some aspects, notably the extrovert/introvert detail, they are reversed.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: Her off-stage persona is this.
* ShrinkingViolet: While incredibly confident while singing or on the radio, at any other time she becomes incredibly timid and shy.

* BerserkButton: Neptune's laziness is the only thing that can make the usual calm Histoire snap. Make fun her functionality if you dare.
* ExpositionFairy: Despite not being a sidekick, Histoire fulfills a similar role to this aside from being MissionControl. It helps that she looks like an actual fairy.
* GreatBigBookOfEverything: Unfortunately it'll take [[RunningGag three of whatever unit of time measurement she's using at the moment]] for her to find any information needed in her, so it's better to just go out and figure things out without her.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: She's also a book.
* PromotedToPlayable: She is a DLC character in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth1 Re;Birth1]]'' and becomes a playable character in ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' as part of the story.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Much more serious to her work than Neptune and provides advice and comfort for Nepgear when she goes about to save the [=CPUs=].
* RuleOfThree: Three hours, three days, three months, whatever unit of time she measures in, she always takes three of it to get anything done. There are also 3 different Histoires in the Neptunia franchise.
* SpellBook: She uses hers to get around.
* ThrowTheBookAtThem: Her weapon in ''[=Re;Birth2=]''.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20170714_001.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Deity of Sin Arfoire]]

The object of worship for the Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime (ASIC). Arfoire is likened to a false idol in comparison to [=CPUs=], being their equal in terms of power and capable of using Shares to her advantage. The [=CFWs=] are all aspects of her, and her primary goal is Gamindustri's destruction. She is the personification of Digital Piracy ([[DigitalPiracyIsEvil is evil]]).
----
* ArchEnemy: Considers Nepgear as this in all endings, being her greatest obstacle in destroying the world.
* DemonicPossession: The Deity of Sin manifests by possessing objects as her vessel. She even boasts that she is limited by neither time or physical body.
* DigitalPiracyIsEvil: The personification of this.
* DubNameChange: She is known as Magiquone in Japan, which is their equivalent of the R4 (Arfoire). Her incomplete form is called Magiquone the Hard (Criminal of Free World Arfoire in English), while her true form is Hanzaishin Magiquone (Deity of Sin Arfoire).
* EldritchAbomination: Compared to the first game's Arfoire or Ultradimension Arfoire, Deity of Sin is a ''very'' different entity. Being destruction incarnate, she manifests physically by possessing things, and thus is nearly impossible to destroy permanently. When manifesting incompletely she takes the form of a hideous, gigantic monster that looks more like a LivingStatue than human.
** HumanoidAbomination: Her complete manifestation manages to hit this, seeing as it looks quite beautiful for a monstrous goddess.
* EvilSoundsDeep: She has a much more hauntingly low voice here compared to past and future portrayals.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: She only exists to destroy everything.
* InvincibleVillain: Pretty much what can sum her up. Not only she has no physical form, all she does when her vessel is destroyed is to migrate to another vessel. She is only sealed because the [=CPUs=] of the previous generation sacrificed themselves to bind Arfoire into the Gamindustri Graveyard. [[spoiler:It takes the combined Shares of ''all'' the goddesses on one CPU to destroy her for good.]]
* LoadBearingBoss: Due to being [[GeniusLoci one with the Gamindustri Graveyard]].
* TheOlderImmortal: One of the, if not ''the'' oldest being in the franchise.
* OmnicidalManiac: She has no goal beyond [[EndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt destroying Gamindustri as we know it]].
* PiecesOfGod: The Criminals of Free World (Magic, Judge, Brave and Trick) are all aspects of her. [[spoiler:This means their defeat only serve to accelerate Arfoire's revival.]]
* RedBaron: "Hanzaishin" (literally "Crime God" in Japan). In the dub it's changed into "Deity of Sin"
* ReusedCharacterDesign: Her CFW Arfoire form is later used for Overlord Momus in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth1 Re;Birth1]]''. Her Deity of Sin form is also used for various monsters throughout the franchise as well as [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaVictory Ultradimension Arfoire]]. Meanwhile, both of her forms are later reused as transformations for her [[VideoGame/MegadimensionNeptuniaVII Zerodimension]] incarnation, [[spoiler:which turns out to be a copy of the original Deity of Sin]].
* SealedEvilInACan: Arfoire was sealed by the [=CPUs=] of previous generation, led by Uranus, Neptune's predecessor.
* TakingYouWithMe: [[spoiler:What she attempts to do toward Nepgear in all endings except the Conquest Ending]].
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: [[spoiler:Delivers this to Nepgear in the Conquest Ending, haunting her with implications that Nepgear has ensured Gamindustri's destruction instead of prevented it.]]
* TheUnreveal: It is not known whether the Deity of Sin has a witch-like form similar to the other incarnations of Arfoire. [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/MegadimensionNeptuniaVII Megadimension]] later confirms that she does have one, because the Arfoire in that game is created from the {{Big Bad}}'s memory of the Deity of Sin.]]

!!Red
--> ''Voiced by'': Creator/KanaeIto (Japanese)
In an ironic twist, Red was a character that appeared in the first game but was absent until ''[=Re;Birth2=]''. This Lesbian HaremSeeker takes NISA's place in the plot. And helps the party battle Underling in the depths of the Virtua Forest.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Red:
* AnimeChineseGirl: By sheer co-incidence, no less. RED Entertainment was bought up by Chinese firm [=UltiZen=] Games shortly after before the release of the ''[=mk2=]'', after Red's first appearance as DLC in the original game.
* DumbMuscle: Red is not particular smart and prefers hitting things and destroying stuff more, but she has the highest STR among all characters.
* KillerYoYo: Her weapon of choice is a kendama.
* HaremSeeker: This time focusing on the CPU Candidates.
* {{Irony}}: ''mk2'' was the start of her long absence from the franchise. A streak that was only ended in... the remake of that game.
* MeaningfulName: And a meaningful acronym as well. R: Her ColorMotif, specifically her R-shaped red hair. E: Her cup-size. And D: Her pet Dragon statue. When RED Entertainment still existed, these letters actually stood for '''R'''oyal '''E'''mperor '''D'''ragon.

!!Broccoli
--> ''Voiced by'': [[Creator/MiyukiSawashiro Miyuki Sawashiro]] (Japanese), Creator/KarenStrassman (English)
A CatGirl with a strange mount (called [[Anime/DiGiCharat Gema]], an anagram of "game"), a [[EyeBeams stranger]] ability. and Gusts's role in ''[=Re;Birth2=]''. She meets Nepgear in Lowee and helps her create a new disc for the mascot there.
----
* CatGirl: Ears, tail and all.
* DeadpanSnarker: She can be pretty blunt.
* {{Expy}} Of Puchiko from ''Anime/DiGiCharat'', a character voiced by Creator/MiyukiSawashiro.
* EyeBeams: Though she does have this ability, she winds up shooting out goop instead.
* MadeOfIron: Still possessing the best balance of skills and stats to make her the toughest character in the series to kill.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: See Gema, the thing she rides on? [[GrievousHarmWithABody That is also her weapon]].
* SailorFuku: Her outfit resembles one.
* TokenMiniMoe: The second smallest member of the cast.
* VerbalTic: Ends every sentence with "nyu", like Puchiko from ''Anime/DiGiCharat''.

!![=MarvelousAQL=]
A Ninja that joins the group once a certain nations shares reach 30%, unlike in ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' she has no impact on the plot.

* CleavageWindow: Expected considering the series she is based on, she has a window in her chest to expose her cleavage.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Musical notes on her irises.
* InSeriesNickname: Goes by Marvey ("Marve-chan") in conversation.
* InsistentTerminology: Inverted. Her equipment and skills descriptions use every synonym in the book for "ninja"... ''except'' [[VideoGame/SenranKagura shinobi]].
* {{Ninja}}: As could be expected from someone representing the company that made the ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'' games
* OverlyLongFightingAnimation: Has probably the most long-winded solo [[LimitBreak EXE Drive]] in the game. The fact it's staged like the special attacks from ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'' (which have distinct setup and execution animations) contributes to this.
* ShoutOut[=/=]{{Expy}}: Would fit right in the world of ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'', which is produced by Marvelous Entertainment.
* SigilSpam: Her IdiotHair and a flourish during her EXE Drive both form the Marvelous AQL logo.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Essentially one button away from dressing like [[VideoGame/SenranKagura Katsuragi]].

!![=CyberConnect2=]
----
!!!Tropes associated with [=CyberConnect2=]:
* AnimalEaredHeadband: Actually a hat.
* CatGirl: Her default outfit is supposed to look like this.
* DualWielding: She uses Twin Daggers.
* {{Expy}}: Her design and character is based of Kite from ''Franchise/DotHack'' and of ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', with the color theme of the company she is based on. Said company is best known for its ''.hack'' franchise and ''Naruto: Ultimate'' series.
* GogglesDoNothing: She wears a pair of them for no apparent reason.
* LittleBitBeastly: Subverted. The ears and tail are fake.
* {{Otaku}}: Her profile describes her as a vivid fan of manga and video games. Apparently, she's so deep into them that she tries to become a heroine like those in these media. Her profile states that she is more heroic than Neptune herself.
* OverlyLongName: While in the English dialogues, it's shortened to [=CC2=], she is called by her full name in the Japanese dialogues. Neptune even adds "-chan" on her name.

!! VideoGame/{{Tekken}}
A Fighter that joins the group once Leanbox's Shares reach 30% from chapter 4 onwards. She has no impact on the plot.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Tekken:
%%* BadassAdorable
* CuteBruiser: A cute and shy girl who uses martial arts.
* BareFistedMonk: Other than using basic gloves, she fights unarmed. Her "weaponry" equipments are just titles, which means she literally gets stronger when she's holding a higher ranked title.
* {{Expy}}: She's based of Jin Kazama from ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}''.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Her right trouser leg is ridiculously short and she has a bracelet on her right leg.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her outfit is based of one of Jin Kazama's costumes, but ironically, she has more clothes on her than [[WalkingShirtlessScene him]]. Her trousers are torn however, revealing her stripped panties.
* SupernaturalMartialArts: Her [[BlowYouAway Fujin]] and [[ShockAndAwe Raijin]] Fist skills.
* WholeCostumeReference: Her outfit is based of Jin Kazama's outfit.

* AwesomeButImpractical:
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiHorie (Japanese), Creator/ChristineMarieCabanos (English)

* BadassBookworm
* BeehiveBarrier: Her Panzer Blade attack causes her enemies to generate one for every swing, [[RuleOfCool just so she can shatter them all in the process of beating them to death.]]
* BigWordShout: During her Slash Wave attack.
--> '''Nepgear:''' ''GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!''
* PurpleIsPowerful
* {{Stripperific}}: Her powered-up costume.
* WrenchWench
* YoungerThanTheyLook: She happens to be the younger sister of Neptune, yet she appears older than Neptune.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EriKitamura (Japanese), Creator/SarahWilliams (English)

-->'''Nepgear:''' Uni! Your boobs!
-->'''Ram:''' Now they're as small as ours, Uni!
-->'''Rom:''' We're flat buddies!
-->'''Uni:''' [[ACupAngst I'm not too happy about being in that category]].
* CameraAbuse: One of her skills kicks the camera and shuts it off. It's used to lower the accuracy of enemies.
* GirlishPigtails
* LoveConfession: In her character info quotes, and surprisingly short and simple.
--> "I love you Nepgear."
* NamedWeapons: [[spoiler:After you kill Brave The Hard for the final time (that is, in the True Ending), Brave powers up her Black Sister weapon and gives her the Brave Cannon.]]
* {{Stripperific}}: As Black Sister.
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards Nepgear, in much of the same vein as Noire is towards Neptune. {{Downplayed}} in that Uni doesn't go tsundere as often as Noire, and overall has a much nicer relationship with Nepgear.

A shrewd businesswoman with a bit of a reputation for making deals that border on the Faustian, and will not take kind to those who do not fulfill their end of the bargain. She is Lastation's Oracle ([[{{Bifauxnen}} and yes it is a she]]).
----
* BerserkButton: [[ILied Breaking promises]].
* TheSpock: As seen here:

* WingdingEyes: Gets hearts in her eyes whenever Vert is involved.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ChiakiTakahashi (Japanese), Creator/LauraPost (English)

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/CFW_Magic_105.png]]

----
* CameBackWrong: In the True End, [[spoiler:her desire to serve under Arfoire becomes a [[OmnicidalManiac desire to ensure everything]] becomes [[TheAssimilator one with her]]]].
%%* SinisterScythe:
* {{Stripperific}}
* ThanatosGambit: She's rightfully confident that she would never lose, but just in case [[spoiler: she ensures that her [[NiceJobBreakingItHero death only speeds up Arfoire's revival]].]]

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KenjiroTsuda (Japanese), Creator/KyleHebert (English)

[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/CFW_Judge_8053.png]]

* HumongousMecha: Looks like one.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KentaroIto (Japanese), Creator/DavidVincent (English)

A HumongousMecha who knows well about improvished children and as such, will help ASIC to bring joy to the poor children, [[WhiteAndGreyMorality this naturaly puts him in a bit of a moral grey area]]. He is the personification of [[CrackIsCheaper not being able to buy the newest games]].
----
* AffablyEvil: The "more chivalrous than evil" CFW Brave.
* FlamingSword
* HotBlooded
* HumongousMecha: Looks like a cross between ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'', [[Anime/{{Gravion}} Sol Gravion]], Anime/BraveExkaiser, [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Thrudgelmir]], and Anime/DancougarNova.

----
* AvengingTheVillain: The final fight against her in the True Ending is because [[spoiler:[[RevengeBeforeReason she wants revenge]] for them [[ItsPersonal killing Magic twice]]]], hoping that maybe [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou she can kill them before]] Arfoire [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt destroys the world]].

%%* BlackShirt
* [[GodNeedsPrayerBadly Enforcer Needs Shares Badly]]: Linda's power comes from the fact she can tap into [=ASIC's=] Shares. As those get worn down, she steadily becomes less of a threat.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Linda is disgusted by CFW Trick's behaviour towards Rom and Ram.

ASIC's Macot and Linda's Sidekick. Has a crush on Compa.
----
* DubNameChange: He's Warechu in Japan, but was renamed Pirachu by NIS America. However, when the series changed hands in the West, his Japanese name was restored, with the exception of ''VideoGame/HyperdevotionNoireGoddessBlackHeart'' due to when the English version released.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Temporarily ends up completely massive [[ComesGreatInsanity and completely insane]].
* OnlySaneMan: Among ASIC.
* PunnyName: Both his Japanese and English names are references to software piracy. While the English name makes it kind of obvious ('''Pira'''chu), his Japanese name is a pun on the Japanese term for a software pirate (割れ厨, also pronounced ''warechu''), and can also evoke the term [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/warez warez]].
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Forms one with Linda.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: He is rather adorable, and his crush on Compa merely adds to it.

* GirlyRun
* PurpleIsPowerful

* MeaningfulName: "Blanc" means "white".
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Like Neptune, she says as much in her character info page.

* {{Tsundere}}: Type A. This is pointed out by name.

!!Compa[[note]]short for Compile Heart[[/note]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanakoSakai (Japanese), Creator/CristinaValenzuela (English)

A friend of Neptune, Nepgear and IF, she is a nurse-in-training. She went with IF to help the [=CPUs=] in the graveyard with the Sharicite they'd been gathering for the last 3 years.
----
* ChickMagnet: Almost all of the party declares that they'd love to have her as a wife after they find out [[FeminineWomenCanCook she's the only one among them that can cook.]] This actually causes IF to snap, leading to a moment of StunnedSilence.
--> '''IF''': "S-Stop this stupid debate, everyone! [[ClingyJealousGirl Can't you see that Compa's all mine!?]]"

* CombatMedic: Unfortunately she's also a GlassCannon and will be among the [[ShootTheMedicFirst first to die]] in [[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard boss fights.]]
* CombinationAttack: Only with IF. [[HeterosexualLifePartners Hmmm...]]
* CrutchCharacter: Her gun attacks are ''strong'' for a non-CPU and will easily do a lot of damage before you can make a party full of them.
* CuteClumsyGirl: Compa always seems to fall down whenever she is shown after a battle all the time.
* DeadlyDoctor: She discusses with Nepgear how to use her syringe as a weapon. Nepgear is understandably worried.
--> '''Compa''': "Besides, syringes are easy to use. You can whack, thrust, or inject something into your opponent."
--> '''Nepgear''': "I wouldn't want to get a shot from the same needle after you stuck it into a nasty monster."
--> '''Compa''': "I won't inoculate you. This medicine is just for bad people. If you give them a dose of this or even a puff of air, it's very effective at shutting them up for good."
--> '''Nepgear''': [[LampshadeHanging "Th-That was a completely inappropriate comment to make as a nurse!"]]
* TheDitz: Compa gets rather spacey at times.
* DudeMagnet: One cutscene has a lot of dudes wanting to be healed by her (they're fine though, it was just them giving an excuse to get touched by her).
* GirlyRun
* KillSat: Her most powerful skill only obtainable via {{DLC}}.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: [[PlayingWithSyringes Giant Syringes that double as guns]].
--> '''Compa''': [[DeadlyDoctor "This ]]''[[DeadlyDoctor will]]'' [[DeadlyDoctor hurt!"]]

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: She never appeared again after this game, since the real-life Creator/GustCorporation was bought and absorbed into Koei-Tecmo. Her role in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth1 Re;Birth1]]'' was written out entirely, and her role in ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth2SistersGeneration Re;Birth2]]'' was filled by Broccoli.
* ExpressiveAccessory: Her hat sometimes matches her expressions.
* HulkSpeak: Unlike the first game, [[JustifiedTrope she's from a foreign country in this continuity,]] and Nepgear notes her "accent". This is actually [[DownplayedTrope downplayed]] compared to the first game.
* TheSmartGirl
* ThirdPersonPerson: Gust at times.
* TokenEvilTeammate
* VerbalTic: In the Japanese version of the game, Gust's ''desu-no''. [[Manga/RozenMaiden Sounds familiar]], [[ActorAllusion considering who voiced her]].
* WhatTheHellHero: She steals and sells some of the Sisters' things. When they catch her and start to chew her out over it, she distracts them by bringing up who's selling for how much so [[LetsYouAndHimFight they'll fight over who's more popular]] so she [[KarmaHoudini can escape]].

!![[Creator/NipponIchi Nisa/Nippon Ichi]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KaoriMizuhashi (Japanese), Creator/MichelleRuff (English)

* ACupAngst: Her BerserkButton is someone pointing out her flat chest.
* ActorAllusion: Nepgear's entire [[AllJustADream dream sequence]] where Nippon Ichi fights off against monsters with Nepgear and Uni[[note]]Bonus points for her being Sayaka[[/note]] cheering her on.
%%* CuteLittleFangs
* DubNameChange: Her name was changed from Nippon Ichi to Nisa, to represent NIS America.
* DynamicEntry: [[CallingYourAttacks Justice Kick!]]

%%* GogglesDoNothing
* ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin: Underling's first impression of her is that she must be "high as a kite". Nisa doesn't exactly deny it, quite the opposite.

!!5pb./Lyrica
-->'''Voiced by:''' nao (Japanese), Creator/JulieAnnTaylor (English)
----
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: As usual, the opening theme for both the original game and its remake are sung by her {{Seiyuu}}. She even sings ''mk2'''s opening in-character as 5pb. in the [[Anime/HyperdimensionNeptuniaTheAnimation animated adaptation]] to kick off the ''mk2'' arc there. The instrumental version of the opening is even her EXE Drive.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Most of the time her eyes are normal but they take on wavelengths anytime she becomes surprised.
* StageName: Her real name is [[MeaningfulName Lyrica]], though [[OnlyKnownByTheirNickname almost no one knows it.]] This is because it was added in the English localization, and does not exist in the original Japanese version. Instead, her off-stage persona is known as "5pb-chan". The English localization of the remake drops this entirely and simply calls her 5pb. from start to finish.
* {{Stripperific}}: One of the few cases where this is justified, as she is an IdolSinger, and thus her outfit is ''supposed'' to be alluring.

* BigGood
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: She's also a book.
