* NiceGirl: One of the sweetest characters, Clover does find her to be a bit "To nice" after she gets tricked by Twirl's prank but actually likes it which makes Twirl feel a bit confused but also develops a secret crush on her.

* ScrewySquirrel: Twirl is the most mischievous character in the story by playing tricks with the other animals and pranking them.

* TheHeart: She would sometimes call out some of her friends when they are in a middle of a bad situation that either if them might have caused or leaving rude comments.

* AbhorrentAdmirer: Twirl has a secret crush on Mallow. While she doesn't find his disgusting she still views him as a kind person despite causing alot of trouble with her and friends. He even started his own fan club dedicated to Mallow.

* TearsOfRemorse: After she scolds Kale's baby brothers after they accidentally broken beads that she and Mallow made. She runs out of her home and starts crying, however later on she returns home and learns from her mother that Kale took them home. Clover reacts by feeling guilty for how she treated them and heads to Kale's home where Clover and Kale decided to make an apology gift after Clover reads their letter they wrote her after they fixed Clover's necklace.

However he later checks out the condition of it and realizes that the stain wasn't that bad and remembers the look on Clover's face who appears to be crying. He later starts feeling guilty for his actions and decides to become friends with them right after he protects them from Cinnamon in Twirl. Keep in mind, Clover and Kale were younger and didn't know to depend themselves so Shallot stuck up and accepted there challenge.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: This runs in the family. In a flashback story to Shallot's younger years and how he first meet Clover and Kale. Cinnamon and Twirl called him 4 eyes as they were making fun of Clover and Kale much to angering Shallot.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: This is Shallot's reaction after snapping at Clover and Kale moments after returning home and leaving them behind. Mainly after noticing that the berry juice spilled by Clover wasn't that much as he expected.

* TheDrifter: Rambler would mostly visit Crescent Forest during special occasions. Since Rambler mainly travels and makes a stop at a faraway forest and leaves the next morning. This is shown off in the last story of volume 3, where it focuses on one of Rambler's adventures.
* TroubledBackstoryFlashback: Rambler mentions that his home is destroyed in volume 1 which shows tree stumps of where he used to live.

* SternTeacher: He's take his doctor and teaching skills very seriously. He would usually peak Clover (Pulling her cheek in the anime) for being late to school. This was changed to pulling her cheek in the anime.

* VerbalTic: Ends all of his sentences with the word "hoot".
* FlatWhat: Says this in one story in volume 2 after he learns that Rambler is going to teach class for the day and holds a field trip.
* TheOwlKnowingOne: One of the more intelligent characters in the series along with Rambler and Hickory. He even owns an entire book shelf of old and new books one containing the story of Santa Claus (Which he only allows for grown ups to read).

* ScrewySquirrel: Twirl is the most mischievous character in the story by playing tricks with the other animals and pranking them.

* TheNapoleon: Twirl is one of the smallest characters in the series next to Hickory and a female field mouse Clover and friends meet in the later volumes. But that doesn't stop him from losing him temper when some of his tricks backfires.
