Bald Of Awesome is being renamed and redefined per TRS decision

* BaldOfAwesome: His original concept art had him fully feathered with a different color palette from the show.[[note]](Unfortunately, no remaining files of the original artwork exists due to the author's harddrive failure in Christmas of 2019)[[/note]] However, with the revamp for the revived ''[=DinoSquad=] RX-Genesis'', he not only has his original coloration from the show, [[https://www.deviantart.com/mf217/art/Max-Tyrannosaurus-form-806706499 but he's also entirely featherless.]]

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: One of his men in particular made only a single demand in exchange for UndyingLoyalty from him, which actually caused Victor to bestow him a Beast Mode which actually defied his own plans. [[spoiler:Said Beast Mode is a ''Smilodon'', a mammal, which otherwise has no place in his plans, but considering this strange individual was a giant of a man who was completely calm and literally only asked for this and nothing more in exchange for basically becoming Victor's personal slave. Victor was baffled at first, but the dead seriousness of which this man would submit to him if he sole demand was met was too tempting to pass up, and Victor had to actually shift plans with his schedule to acquire ''Smilodon'' DNA to get the contract sealed.]]

* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler:He effectively sold his soul to Victor simply so he could have free choice over his personal Beast Mode and he would basically be Victor's slave for life afterwards. Victor was actually baffled by this, but the man was too genuine and the offer too good to pass up that he agreed, even going as far as to delay a plan of his to acquire fresh ''Smilodon'' DNA to complete the contract with.]]
* MysteriousPast: [[spoiler:He showed up out of nowhere, swearing absolute obedience and loyalty to Victor should all he get in return be the personal choice of his Beast Mode and nothing more. His absolute dedication to his own genuine request actually unsettles Victor because he's indeed very genuine, but the lack of info on who this guy is unsettles him at times.]]

* TopHeavyGuy: [[spoiler:As his "Symbiosis ''Smilodon'' form, he looks so front heavy that he's described as looking a lot like the titular Werewolf from ''Film/AnAmericanWerewolfInLondon''. Even the feline aspect of ''Smilodon'' does little to stop people from making the comparison.]]

* TheStoic: [[spoiler:He shows virtually no emotion, rarely ever speaks, and acts as what effectively amounts to Victor's personal guard cat. While exactly how much he knows of Victor's plan, his mammalian form was still a worthwhile exception to Victor's plans to eradicate mammals in exchange for the genuine UndyingLoyalty this man offered in exchange for having a say on his Beast Mode only and nothing else.]]

The beginning of ''[=DinoSquad RX -Genesis-=]'' showcases such a hive landing on Earth in the opening act.

* DecompositeCharacter: All of their character traits from the show were taken, separated, and organized into different categories that would wind up becoming the basis of their AU counterparts. This also includes several of the villainous characters and countless of side characters and characters of the day, at least until there was enough to work with to form the basis of the reimagined 7 major canonical characters. Only the more noteworthy specifics will be mentioned individually, though, since the list is quite long.

Added DiffLines:

* BigManOnCampus: Literally, yes? The actual trope proper gets played around with in his character overall considering he's kind of not as big as high profile as his appearance and bedroom trophies would make you think he is. He's hardly outspoken, and he's only TheLeader of the team overall by virtue of his skills in football, and the fact in situations he can't use his Beast Mode he's unequaled in regards to both strength and agility.

Added DiffLines:

* BullyHunter:
** He was bullied in most of his middle school years for being a nerdy, FormerlyFat kid who responded to his bullies by trying to chase them with minimal luck due to his poor agility at the time, and nowhere near as impressive strength. As a college student with many of the same bullies still a thorn to his side, they've moved on to targeting weaker individuals because they're not stupid enough to try and target Roger '''now''' that he's a LightningBruiser with a 6 foot tall HeroicBuild to match.

!!! Voice Actor: Willem Dafoe

* AdaptationalVillainy: As he was originally a ''Velociraptor'' in canon, and he wanted to bring the world back to the Mesozoic Era, he was kind of a standard Saturday Morning Cartoon villain; next to nothing was unique to him in particular. Here? Victor is outright '''vicious''', and actually accumulates quite a body count within moments of his first appearance. Not only that, but he willingly signed up for being transformed into a mutant which could freely transform between human and dinosaur, with his only requests for the experiments to make him an unparalleled killing machine.

* RaptorAttack: His Beast Mode is a fictional species of dinosaur designed with functionality in mind over accuracy to the actual appearance of such an animal. Victor calls himself the "''Deinonyraptor''".

to:

* {{Expy}}: Of the Indoraptor in terms of his fictional dinosaur form being a featherless, genetically supped up RaptorAttack type of dinosaur intended for warfare.
* FreudianExcuse: He was a former businessman who carelessly drove his company into the red with various lawsuits filed against him which he lost to. However, it doesn't make him any less vile, considering he ''deliberately'' made such hazardous decisions against orders otherwise, and he willfully joined up with a secret group to create dinosaurs solely so he could become a ferocious killing machine that has absolutely to nothing to do with his original self; the closest he gets to such is that he just wants to see the world burn for what he believes are everyone else's mistakes, not his own.
* RaptorAttack: His Beast Mode is a fictional species of dinosaur designed with functionality in mind over accuracy to the actual appearance of such an animal. Victor calls himself the "''Deinonyraptor''".
"''Deinoraptor''", translating to "Terror Thief".
* TranshumanTreachery: He goes through multiple phases of this, starting off subtle, before eventually degrading into an AbsoluteXenophobe against humankind and eventually every mammal in existence to the point that [[spoiler:the moment he gets the opportunity, he experiments on himself to remove his human form and leave him with his raptor form as his pure form, but otherwise ensures his intelligence remains intact.]]
* TheUnfettered: He willfully signed up for experiments which could've easily killed him in the process, but he deemed the positives to outweigh the cons as considering he was a former businessman long gone into the red, he had literally nothing else to lose if he didn't willfully sign up.

* AdaptationSpeciesChange: From an inaccurate portrayal of ''Styracosaurus'' in the show to ''Triceratops styrax'' from the video game ''VideoGame/ARKSurvivalEvolved''. * ShapeShifterBaggage: All of the mutants in the fic who transform have a required secondary power of their abilities to transform giving them the ability to condense their mass into very tightly packed spaces when in a smaller form, and typically having normal mass when transformed into something larger than their default form. If a mutant is created who doesn't have the mass of the larger form they acquire first, they can't transform at all until they gorge on food as to provide them with the mass necessary to transform into their given form, in which case they basically digest food almost instantly due to just how much food they need to intact before a successful transformation can occur. The various mutants also have a HealingFactor which can allow them to feast on food as to make it so otherwise disastrous wounds can heal when not in a given form which possesses said wound. If for whatever reason the beast mode one particular mutant acquires is smaller than their original form instead of bigger, it's their beast mode that becomes super dense in physical composition rather than their human form.

* DecompositeCharacter: He's the result of taking the more noticeably questionable behavior of the canon ''[=DinoSquad=]'' characters and combining them into a AxCrazy, racist, albeit NobleBigot, type of character.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: His racist, rude behavior stands out like a sore thumb in the prologue.
* NobleBigot: It's startling just how much of a ''nasty'' individual he can be towards everyone, but apparently he's got enough redeeming qualities to be part of Fiona's group of friends.
* TokenEvilTeammate: He's the least morally just of the Dino Squad, but this is perhaps his biggest advantage when it comes to dealing with scumbags like Victor. He knows a lot of the typical quirks with criminals since much of them he himself possesses, which makes him effectively able to seek out potential traitors very quickly.
* TokenHuman: {{Defied}}, as he's indeed mutated like the others; just the problem is nobody knows ''what'' animal in question Cody can turn into.

!! Cody

* AbsoluteXenophobe: He's not very fond of the fact whites are being constantly thrown under the bus in media in favor of minorities, often considering the idea that these other races need [[ANaziByAnyOtherName a "reminder" of where they "actually stand".]]
* AxCrazy: Victor entrusts him with terminating targets who pose too much of a threat to keep alive, and Cody lives up to the task of being unfettered enough to carry out the task willingly. Also the fact he ''also'' willingly took the mutagen that would give him a beast mode out of his planned {{Revenge}} against Roger was all Victor needed to not screw with Cody's own intents and have someone willing to work for him.
* BiggerIsBetterInBed: He was ditched by his first girlfriend because she found another guy with a significantly bigger dick than Cody's own, whom is more or less puny or at least average at best. Roger's constantly been rumored to have a massive dick by anyone who has overheard gossip in the changing rooms for the football team, so Cody was ProperlyParanoid that Fiona could potentially ditch him for Roger's bigger dick.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Starts off as a rather soft spoken, rather timid guy who does a significantly good job at hiding just how much of a bigot he truly is.
* CharacterDevelopment: A path that makes him significantly worse of an individual as time progresses. He gradually becomes more outspoken about his bigotry the further the story progresses; he's borderline unrecognizable between start and finish because he starts off super shy and very good at hiding his bigotry and keeping himself in check, and then just over time becomes a violent {{Sociopath}} with a white supremacist crusade he's absolutely outspoken about, with no further self-restraint on his hatred for everyone who isn't white.
* CreateYourOwnVillain: Fiona unwittingly had a play in ultimately driving Cody to villainy. Cody was on difficult terms with Roger when Fiona introduced Cody to him, but otherwise was perfectly behaved at first aside from Cody's racist remarks behind everyone's backs about Roger. Eventually Fiona figured out that Cody had been taking insensitively behind Roger's back and dumps him because of his racist attitude, which only validated Cody's paranoia up until then in which he believed that Roger would cuck him; something that [[spoiler:ultimately truly happens because of Fiona eventually becoming a couple with Roger]]. As a result, everything that happens from that point is Cody descending in a perpetual downward spiral into madness and xenophobic tendencies.
* {{Cuckold}}: Inadvertently causes it to himself by his super paranoid nature regarding Roger. [[spoiler:Cody at first is dating Fiona, but after racially charged antagonism from Cody, she dumps him, and eventually gets together with Roger, thus causing Cody's paranoia to come true.]]
* {{Eagleland}}: Boorish variety.
* EntitledToHaveYou: He sees himself as the hero in the HeroesWantRedheads trope, and he sees Fiona as said redhead. Fiona actually does briefly date him until he unwittingly reveals his true colors to her.
* HeroesWantRedheads: He believes himself to be the hero in this context, but in reality he's just super entitled towards wanting Fiona for himself.
* {{Irony}}: For as much of a white supremacist he behaves, it would appear he represents the boorish {{Eagleland}}er down to a tee... except for the fact his beast mode is ''Inostrancevia'', which is from ''Russia''.
* JerkJock: A very racist one at that.
* OCStandIn: One of the bullies from the original show given a name and actual distinct characterization.
* ProperlyParanoid: Fiona's choice of wording and the timing of her attempt to introduce Roger to Cody couldn't have been at any worse of a time; whether Cody was racist or not, he constantly dreaded whether or not he was a beta male, and he feared that anyone could potentially cuck him of a girlfriend in his life. Cody's only prior date was with a girl who ditched him because she found someone with a larger dick than his own, and considering the constant rumors at school regarding the football team having witnessed Roger packing a significantly big dick compared to everyone else, Cody's fear was that yet again his own pathetically sized dick in comparison to Roger's alleged size would cause Fiona to dump him for Roger.
* RightWingMilitiaFanatic: He joins Victor's side willingly so he can use his newly acquired morph to fight for his so called "justice", which isn't a good thing in the slightest considering Cody's practically a white supremacist. In human form, Victor doesn't waste time with turning Cody into a walking armory should he not be in a situation to use his beast mode.

When Fiona dumps Cody after learning of his racist attitude, and later on, [[spoiler:actually begins dating Roger]], Cody makes it his personal vendetta to ruin Fiona and Roger's lives as much as he can.
* WrongGenreSavvy: He believed Fiona would ditch him because of Roger's dick size compared to Cody's own, which is what happened with Cody's prior girlfriend and another guy. \n! RX

* TheAssimilator: It's diet can alter how RX specimens grow and change over time in their continuous state of hunger. After feeding on arachnids, one particular specimen develops spider-like web making and scorpion claws.
* BizarreAlienBiology: It's hunger is not dictated by Earth organism laws; it digests it's food almost instantly after it finishes chewing through it, but at the same time this doesn't pose any issue towards it as one might expect. In reality, it rarely ever actually needs to eat to simply survive. It eats so that it can continuously grow, as it possesses no means to do so naturally through time.
* HorrorHunger: It's hunger is depicted as not a need, but rather a ''want''. It can sustain itself perfectly fine without eating, since it actually gains all of its nutrients alone from sunlight and mineral materials. Organic material, on the other hand, is simply what it consumes so that it itself can continue to grow. As a direct result of this, it eats literally anything it can successfully subdue, ''including'' others of it's own kind that are smaller than any given specimen in a feeding frenzy.
* ImAHumanitarian: Breeder specimens typically flee their nesting grounds after laying eggs, due to the fact other RX will not only feed off of each other if they have a size advantage against one another, but even their own parents will not be picky in which specimens they try and eat for themselves.
* PrehistoricMonster: It's utterly alien behavior renders it as such. It continuously feasts no matter how hungry it currently is, and it continues to shed so that it can continue to grow in size and form.

A carnivorous individual of an unknown species, allegedly a carnivorous parallel to [[Literature/{{Animorphs}} Andalites]], but so far Lord Archadius is the only known individual of his own species known to exist. It is also implied that Lord Archadius doesn't come from any distinct species or otherwise normal biological relative to Andalites, but is rather some kind of supernatural entity of Andalite mythology of a SatanicArchetype; considering he can survive in Zenithian space, a trait only associated with demons or otherwise a strong supernatural influence, this isn't too much of a stretch. Peter, whose beast mode is an ''Alamosaurus'', had to ingest well over several tons of food in the span of an entire day of endlessly eating before he could transform for the first time.

* AbsoluteXenophobe: He's not very fond of the fact whites are being constantly thrown under the bus in media in favor of minorities, often considering the idea that these other races need [[ANaziByAnyOtherName a "reminder" of where they "actually stand".]]
* {{Eagleland}}: Boorish variety.
* EntitledToHaveYou: He sees himself as the hero in the HeroesWantRedheads trope, and he sees Fiona as said redhead. Fiona actually does briefly date him until he unwittingly reveals his true colors to her.
* SeldomSeenSpecies: His ''Inostrancevia'' form is often seen in media in some way or form, but usually not specifically referred to as this given species even though it's the largest of the Gorgonopsids.
* StartOfDarkness: He was nothing short of a JerkJock and nothing more by the time he's introduced; he's racist, sure, but he's too reluctant to actually carry out his own agenda to live up to his attitude. When he's dating Fiona briefly, she tries to introduce Cody to Roger and needless to say Cody doesn't have nice things to say about Roger when the two are alone, thinking that Roger is secretly attempting to cuck him of Fiona while only pretending to be innocent and supportive of their relationship. When Fiona dumps Cody after learning of his racist attitude, and later on, [[spoiler:actually begins dating Roger]], Cody makes it his personal vendetta to ruin Fiona and Roger's lives as much as he can.

!! George the Yeti

* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: To prevent suffering the flaws of an actual albino, he's made into a Yeti but overall doesn't look much different aside from being significantly harrier. [[spoiler:He's also a human SerialKiller who willingly took the mutagen to become this form to go on inter-dimensional rampages.]]

!! Lizzie the Smiles

* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: An unidentified reptilian mutant with traits from practically every reptile known to exist, semi-aquatic in nature as befitting her NotZilla nature. [[spoiler:She's also a human SerialKiller who willingly took the mutagen to become this form to go on inter-dimensional rampages.]]
* AlphaBitch: Her title InUniverse is literally simply "Queen Bitch".
* BreathWeapon: Fire[[spoiler:, Thunder, Ice, Crystal, and Poison.]]
* EvilVersusOblivion: She represents Oblivion as opposed to her cohorts simple Evil.
* MeaningfulName: She's the queen of {{Slasher Smile}}s, considering she perpetually has one.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: [[spoiler:She's willing to fully destroy everything for nothing but her own personal amusement with no other end goal in sight aside from total destruction of everything in existence. George and Ralph both want to destroy a given civilization and rule over their remains as more benign gods, but Lizzie wants to destroy without end.]]
* OmnicidalManiac
* ShoutOut: Her nickname of "Queen Bitch" references an unnamed ''Franchise/{{Godzilla}}'' monster, whom ironically Lizzie herself has much more in common with Big G than she does the scrapped Queen Bitch {{Kaiju}}, who was depicted in the script as a gigantic insectoid.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: [[spoiler:Lizzie is the most unfettered of the trio, since whereas George and Ralph are also serial killers, they don't have the insane OmnicidalManiac tendencies that Lizzie has in which Lizzie wants to destroy '''everything''' whereas George and Ralph want to pillage a given civilization and render them their slaves, but each of them have more benign ruler ideas in mind; Lizzie wants to kill and destroy everything for nothing but shits and giggles alone.]]

!! Ralph the Unbelievable

* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: He's partially bipedal similar to a bear and much more resembles a werewolf like his original game counterpart, but still looks very animal based in build like his 2018 appearance. He keeps the blue hair, but it's not his natural hair color at that. [[spoiler:He's a human performer who took the mutagen willingly because he was having a terrible life prior to his mutation, which he believes his mutation would give him a new purpose in life as opposed to his two "friends".]]
* AscendedMeme: His fanbase gave him the nickname "Ralph the Unbelievable", which is what fans of the 2018 ''Rampage'' film called Ralph due to his uncanny amount of parallels to Varan.
* GloryHound: He destroys things just to get widespread attention and be showered in fame and fortune, and also to pull a gigantic spectacle every time he shows up.
* TokenHeroicOrc: He doesn't really destroy anything out of malice; [[PassThePopcorn he just wants to put on a good show to spectators.]]
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: His carnage is just too entertaining to not want to root for him at times, especially since he's more the TokenHeroicOrc of the trio he's in.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Deliberately allowed his hair to be dyed blue to see how he'd look destroying things as a gigantic blue werewolf type of beast.

** Moynihan: ''Acheroraptor''

!! Joanne Moynihan

* {{Foil}}: Whereas Victor is given an AdaptationalSpeciesChange to be a normal human with possession of a Beast Mode, Moynihan's origins from the show remain intact, although are given a tad more of an explanation as to how it works on her end. As a result, Moynihan is one of the unknown race of {{Ultraterrestrials}} capable of shapeshifting, and Victor is nothing more than an impostor of them.
* {{Ultraterrestrials}}: She is from an unknown group of shapeshifters who lived on Earth since the planet's very beginning, with her having been born in the Mesozoic Era in particular. As her primary recurring form was an ''Acheroraptor'', she was not known to exist at all until the very end of the Cretaceous within Hell Creek. Excavation in the area in the early [=1900s=] caused her to escape into the modern day world, and has been at large ever since.

to:

!! Rolf "Max" Maxwell

* Adaptational
AdaptationalVillainy: Although possibly because of his Beast Mode, Max is not a protagonist early on in the story, and the role of the leader goes to Roger because of that. He's extraordinarily pragmatic about how he functions compared to many of the other pragmatic villains of the continuity, bordering on an AntiVillain type of characterization.
* DarkerAndEdgier: The nature of his Beast Mode being both the result of an indirect infection that only gradually managed to perfect itself all on its own, combined with ''Tyrannosaurus'' being an Apex Predator, leads to Max being reduced to at times a thug of an individual who'll go out of his way to inflict casualties just so he can feed on their corpses ''simply to survive''.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He charges down a steel wall to a meat packing plant and begins to rapidly feast on all of the stored meat. His unparalleled strength, and his bestial nature to hunt and eat to simply survive, has shown that his Beast Mode have almost entirely taken control of his mind; however, he planned out the attack in advance; the wall was initially given a mock charge into without the intent of breaking in immediately, as to instead weaken down the wall over time, before taking the entire staff by surprise by using all of his brute strength at once when the wall was already sufficiently weakened first.
* TyrannosaurusRex: His Beast Mode.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Considering his only entire objective is eating things and survival, and is unable to be reasoned with by any other means, he seems to be sapient, but all of his concerns seem to be very primal in nature and not akin to anything a human would desire instead.

* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Humans can't comprehend his actual motives or plan, so he comes across as a force of nature that simply can't be reasoned with rather than a normal individual regardless of alignment. Oddly enough his overall usage of BodyHorror seems to have more of a personality than he himself does.

to:

* VileVillainSaccharineShow: [[BlueAndOrangeMorality While admittedly his motives are never meant to be clarified to human logic]], his appearance is a stark contrast to what the designs look like for everyone else involved. Victor at least resembles something that naturally would exist on Earth, whereas Lord Archadius is ''completely alien'' in terms of appearance, with the only recognizable quality to him being his centaur build, which even that is purely within fiction otherwise.

[[caption-width-right:350:Lord Archadius]]

While his exact supernatural origins have not been specified, he's shown a rather blasphemous appearance within Ultima's haven, which means that whatever alignment he may be, he's not directly associated with purely darkness or purely light.
