* TeamNormal: The only non-jinchuuriki of Kurama's kids.

* AmbiguousDisorder: He tends to see other people as things and is unable to emotionally relate to them, but manages to flawlessly manipulate them and make them think he's normal. It could be attributed to his being a ten-year-old assassin and being traumatized by the last war... or he could be a psychopath with all these hallmarks.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: He simply doesn't understand why ''anyone'' would stick their feet inside uncomfortable and unpractical metal and wood contraptions. Helps that even if he does injure his feet, he can heal it far, far faster than anyone else.

* DistressedDamsel: She's a little girl who was kidnapped because she's the Fire Daimyo's daughter.

* OneHundredPercentAdorationRating: He is adored and respected by his fellow jinchuuriki. With the possible exception of Killer Bee.

* KnightInSourArmor: Kurama is a long-lived demon once made of malice and who despises humanity. Even when Naruto helped Kurama find good in himself, Kurama ended up the SoleSurvivor of his siblings and Naruto as the world ended and Kurama sent to the past. Despite being broken by grief and thinking humanity is terrible, Kurama will fight in Naruto’s memory and go against the whole world to protect the now young jinchuuriki.

* LivingEmotionalCrutch: At first, Kurama’s purpose was to protect Naruto and ensure a better future for him and the rest of the world could burn. He’s slowly growing out of it as he becomes a father figure to the younger jinchuuriki.
* LockedIntoStrangeness: Kurama’s possession of the late Naruto’s body darkened the skin and turned Naruto’s blonde hair into a blood red. Downplayed as it makes everyone think that Kurama is an Uzumaki with Kumo heritage.

* TheConsigliere: She acts as Yagura's adviser to prevent him from acting hotheadedly or damaging their relations with other villages. [[Spoiler: Plays a big role in him naming her his successor.]].

* ThePurge: Uzu was attacked to make sure the Uzumaki clan was wiped out. They were thorough as Kurama and the jinchuuriki were the only Uzumaki they have ever seen.

* TheFettered: He saved the last of the Uzumaki fortune for years without spending any on himself in hopes of giving it back to any surviving Uzumaki. He gives a portion of it to Kurama with the promise to send when he needs it.

* SmugSnake: No matter how what he loses: subordinates, plans, and even his element of surprise. He still remains overly smug and full of himself.

* DragonWithAnAgenda: Tobi and Kisame are perfectly aware that he will find a way to use the new and improved Edo Tensei to his benefit.
** [[spoiler: According to Kushina, that's because he seeks to bring back someone in particular.]]

* ConvenientlyUnverifiableCoverStory: In order to explain why he wanted to get close to Naruto and his StrongFamilyResemblance, Kurama says that Naruto's mother Kushina was his half-sister. Which no can deny nor verify since Kushina's home village Uzu was destroyed and Kushina was tight-lipped about her family when alive.
** [[spoiler: When Kushina is resurrected, she chooses to reinforce the story.]]

* DarkSkinnedRedhead: His taking over Naruto's body gave him blood red hair and dark brown skin. It helps to fool people about his identity, letting them think he's an Uzumaki with Kumo heritage.

* PlayingWithFire[=/=]BlowYouAway: It's basically a prerequisite for him to be skilled in fire-manipulation, being a {{kitsune}}. He even declares himself a god of wind and fire.

* {{Kitsune}}: Well duh.
* MissionFromGod: Kurama is a god to the Kitsune, of course they're going to help him!

* IOweYouMyLife: Kurama helps him out of a bush, and he thanks him by leading a powerful kitsune to his benefactor, in the purest fairy tale logic mode. Shisui [[{{Lampshaded}} lampshades]] this.
* NoNameGiven: This fox is regular fox with barely enough intelligence to think in order to become a kitsune. As he's only a slightly magical fox with no second tail, he doesn't have a name.

* AdultFear: When Naruto fails to appear at school, Iruka thinks he's merely skipping. After one whole week without seeing the kid, he starts to worry and goes to the Hokage who reveals that an unknown shinobi abducted Naruto and is on the run.

* AdultFear: His youngest son is abducted inside Suna's walls. Worse, the perpetrator is on the run and no one is able to stop him.

* AdultFear: She died hoping that her baby would live happy and safe. Orochimaru coldly tells her that everyone knew Naruto's status as a jinchuuriki and hated him for it, and now he's with someone claiming to be her brother, while she's adamant that she was an only child.

* HiddenDepths: As impossible as it seems, he does possess the slightest smidge of a conscience, as he's not really indifferent to fighting Jiraiya - his past teammate - and he's quite emotive when he confesses having killed children.

* WhatAnIdiot: Giving the slip to your bodyguards and exposing yourself to a possible kidnapper? Not smart, dude.
** Except he was unaware of the Akatsuki.

* StandardStatusEffects: Her Beetle Dust is very good at blinding people, which she uses to her advantage.

* NotSoAboveItAll[=/=]UnreliableExpositor: When he tells Naruto about his parents, he paints [[TheAce Minato]] as an unreliable and gullible ditz.

* NotSoDifferent: Konoha tries to present itself as more virtuous than other villages, when it's really no better (and in some ways, worse given their reputation; at least other villages are living down to meet others expectations).

* RealityEnsues: At this point in the timeline, Naruto is shunned by his fellow citizens of Konoha and desperately longs for someone to love him. Enter Kurama, posing as his uncle and openly doting on him: Naruto immediately latches on him and has no problem to ditch his village in order to stay with the first person showing care for him.
** Kakashi is painfully aware of this, and fears that hurting Kurama and forcefully separating him from the kid would not only traumatize Naruto, but also push him to actively ''hate'' Konoha.
** Jiraiya is also painfully aware of this, noting how Naruto's only friend is a ''ramen chef.'' So if the Kurama chooses to hide out in the wilderness with Naruto and the kids, then time will erode whatever remaining attachment the kid has for Konohagakure.

* CreepyChild: He's a ten-year-old ANBU and suffers from a disturbing habit to see people as things when they're not related to him. ''[[HumanoidAbomination Kurama]]'' is freaked out by this.
