* GoodIsDumb: Downplayed. He is not by any stretch ''stupid'', as his GuileHero tactics show time and again that he can compete with the best of the schemers—but as the NaiveNewcomer who's [[EveryoneHasStandards still clinging to some measure of moral character]] to the WretchedHive that is Roanapur, he can do some [[DidntThinkThisThrough boneheaded things]] from time to time that would make him an easy target, something Revy gets on his case about frequently enough.

* CorruptedCharacterCopy: They're dead ringers for the [[Anime/CowboyBebop Bebop Crew]], being a four-man crew with very similar roles and having their own their personal ship and collecting bounties in a CrapsackWorld. Revy is a clear pastiche of Spike Spiegel being the main gunfighter and also a chain-smoker, but while Spike is ultimately an UnscrupulousHero, Revy is unambiguously a VillainProtagonist and a [[AxCrazy violent]], psychopathic StrawNihilist who very frequently loses her cool in contrast to Spike always having a cool laid-back demeanor. While Spike's backstory and attitude aren't all sunshine and rainbows, Revy has an even ''worse'' backstory ([[spoiler:living in a trashy abusive household, being raped by a cop, living as a StreetUrchin]]) and is an extremely fucked-up and ultimately emotionally vulnerable woman underneath caustic attitude. Dutch is very much a dead ringer of Jet, being a bald [[TheBigGuy big guy]] leader with similar backgrounds, but their motives contrast, with Jet being a former cop who left the police force in pursuit of (in his own way) law and justice, while Dutch was a former US Marine during the Vietnam War who went AWOL to become a mercenary (although it's possible he may have lied about his tour of duty too, which only adds to Dutch being a corrupted copy of Jet).

She really doesn't fit the trope. Just because we don't see her throwing herself at people.

* CelibateHero: Despite being MsFanservice, she hasn't been shown to have any sex life to speak of. At one point Eda [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this by teasing her about it, "When it comes to you and men..." It makes more sense once we find out in the OVA that [[spoiler:she was raped by a police officer when she was a teenager]]. Another more present reason is [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan her growing relationship with Rock]]. Him aside, the only other men she shows any real interest in are all for non-sexual/non-romantic reasons; usually ones whom she hopes to fight alongside/kill with, or ones whom she hopes to fight/kill.

* SexGoddess: In the manga, we have the following quote. However, considering she was trying to intimidate Jane at the time and has been a CelibateHero on-screen, it's ambiguous if this is true or not.
