* ItsAllAboutMe: Vaati is the only character in the comic with no genuine connection with anyone else. His plans are only to further his own ambitions, and every time he's present he's talking about how annoyed he is at inconveniences to himself or thinking of what he wants to aim for next. [[spoiler: His soft, stunned reaction to Zelda's offer of friendship implies his lack of connections is involuntary, backed up by the sincere affection and respect he treats her with afterwards. After the only entity offering assistance proves a bad call, his self-centred plans don't last long.]]

* CommonalityConnection: [[spoiler: As they work together on the portal, Vaati bonds with Zelda over their shared passion for magic theory. When Zelda affirms that she'd like to properly befriend him in time, his expression is surprisingly vulnerable.]]

* HumanPet: He briefly floats this idea for Zelda as an alternative to murdering her, keeping her himself while Ganondorf makes it look like she died.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Vaati. An interesting example where Ghirahim plainly calls them friends while Vaati relegates him to "coworker".

* ShapeshifterDefaultForm: Although his "true" form is a Minish we've yet to see it, as he never removes the hat that grants him enough magical power to maintain his human shape. The other characters speak of it as a demonstration of his inflated ego and vain pride, but Vaati even ''sleeps'' in human form, implying it's a strong personal preference.

* CommonalityConnection: Much to her surprise, she and Vaati bond over their shared love of magic theory when they collaborate on a {{Magitek}} project, and she actually starts to enjoy his company. It helps that he's too engaged by their work to keep acting like an AbhorrentAdmirer towards her.

* HypercompetentSidekick: To Ganondorf, he's willing to set plans and stuff into motion in the hopes of doing what he thinks is best for him, even if he doesn't want it.

* ProneToTears: Whenever Ganondorf seems to be angry with him, he tends to cry.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Vaati.

* AbhorrentAdmirer: Vaati clearly has it set for Zelda, who thankfully doesn't reciprocate. He stops flirting with her and instead views her with disgust after she threatens to inform Ganondorf of his advances.

* HumanPet: He idealizes this idea for Zelda, keeping her with him and for Ganondorf to make it look like she died.

* MesACrowd: He can create numerous clones which he can use for different purposes. Ganondorf even regularly kills these clones in place of killing Vaati himself.

Vaati wants Ganondorf and Link to go at it, after which he'll kill the victor and take Zelda for himself. He's even trying to find a way to kill Ganondorf without aid of the Master Sword, and is succeeding. [[spoiler: Later on he manages to ''find'' the Master Sword...]]

* EyeScream: Zelda splashes an alcoholic drink into Vaati's eyes in response to his unwanted advances.

** Link. Ganondorf takes his defeats by Links hands very personally and nearly flips out when Zelda tries to give the idea to get along with him. Which is incredibly ironic, considering he gets along very well with Rinku, who he doesn't know is Link's current incarnation.

* DarkIsNotEvil: He moves into this territory as the comic progresses, showing more of his good sides despite his actions in the games. He is still cruel and vicious when he wants to be, but he's also very capable of being loving and doting, doing his best to try and make the marriage work, be a doting parent to Rinku, and [[spoiler: trying to force Zelda to relax while she's pregnant]].

* TheWomanWearingTheQueenlyMask: Though Zelda is graceful in many respects, she's also just as prone to having high amounts of stress due to the job and the insults that get slung to her due to her [[DarkAndTroubledPast past]].

* TheAlcoholic: Understandably speaking. She slips Gin into her tea and is noted for drinking heavily. Possibly due to the stress from the marriage, the work on politics, trying to juggle Rinku and any threats to her as well as if she should recall her PastLifeMemories. Gets subverted later on when Ganondorf gets her to stop drinking when she becomes pregnant.

* NayTheist: Of [[GodIsEvil the Goddesses are Evil]] version. It's up to the point that she allows chapels dedicated to them to fall into disrepair and rot. Her words best describe her opinion on them.

** It's safe to say that she cares alot for Rinku's safety and doesn't want her to be hurt for the reasons below.
** One is when Ganondorf had freshly gotten done with the castle guards trying to kill him, and was going to present the head guard's...well, [[DecapitationPresentation head as a bridal present]]. Zelda is completely frantic with internal screaming that it might be Rinku's head in there, not knowing it was the guards.
** The true reason she has this is because Rinku is Link's reincarnation. Part of the reason she goes through with the wedding is to protect Rinku from being targeted by Ganondorf.
** She's afraid of Rinku recalling her true memories too soon, namely that it could damage her badly. [[spoiler: She threatens to kill Skull Kid over it.]]

* AdultFear: He has at least two moments over the series.
** When talking to Zelda over how he ruled his Kingdom, Ganondorf notes on how the Gerudo have suffered and how he's watched so many of his lovers, sisters and even children die to the point he can't recall all of their faces.
** In the middle of a nightmare, Ganondorf attacks [[spoiler: a pregnant]] Zelda. And although she gets off unharmed and understands, Ganondorf refuses to share a room with her out of fear it'll happen again.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Similarly to Zelda, Ganondorf's past is also sad. He was the child of a sex worker in a brothel who died before he could even learn her name, and he was forced to work there until he received the Triforce of Power. He presumably recalled all of his previous lives, who had their various failures at maintaining power, AdultFear from losing their kids, sisters and lovers, and whatnot. He still even has nightmares of being attacked by Link, Zelda tormenting him by asking if he's a man or a pig, and even of himself telling him of how far he's gone in his power hunger.
