Moving King of the Hill examples to their own page

* ''KingOfTheHill'': After being the female gender's answer to TedBaxter for twelve freakin' years, Peggy Hill's CrowningMomentOfAwesome came in ''Death Picks Cotton'': when the old man is on ''his deathbed'', she totally [[CallingTheOldManOut chews him out]] for how miserable he's been to Hank all his life.
--> '''Peggy''': "I wish you could live forever in the hell you've created for yourself. I hope you live forever. I really, really do."
** Of course, he then one-ups her and ''dies'', right then and there, probably with a smile on his face.
** Cotton gets one of his own when he meets the kids Luanne is watching, who are an infuriating pair of wannabe hippies who accuse anyone who tries to exert the slightest bit of control over them of being a Nazi. As you might imagine, this isn't the smartest thing to say to a World War II veteran.
--> '''Cotton''': "WHO ARE YOU CALLIN' A NAZI?!"
** Hank gets one in ''Nine Pretty Darn Angry Men'' to Cotton in the perfect ShutUpHannibal on how his old wife LEFT HIM, not the other way around, and that Cotton's afraid of strong women, and that Cotton is afraid of being all alone. All the while convincing some corporate stiffs to keep his mower in production. This is one of the times ThisTroperSuperSaiyaMan actually likes Hank.
** Hank gets one during the HalloweenEpisode. Halloween has been banned, so Hank starts a protest by putting on his old devil costume and starts chanting "Trick or treat."
*** Bill then gets a crowning moment of funny when he tries to use a ghost costume and starts shouting toga when it rips.
** Peggy already had one in "Beer and Loathing", when she serves the Alamo board the tainted beer while wearing her free Alamo swag. That's getting it done.
** Peggy also had one in "Leann's Saga" when she kicks the crap out of Leann. And this is also one of the few times she didn't do anything annoying in an episode.
** Peggy also has one in [[TheOneWith the one where]] [[TheWesley Lucky]] tries to get his GED. After she finds out that his "code of honor" won't let him marry Luanne till he gets his GED. She intentionally tells him the wrong answers (though she's right that a number can have more than 1 square root). Then, after she admits it, she finds out that neither his father nor grandfather had met their goals. She tells Hank, "I think what we're looking at here is a long line of basterds." When he tells Hank to kick him in te ribs for some reason, she kicks him instead.
*** YMMV. Personally, this, along with her lines before Cotton's death, [[MoralEventHorizon makes me absolutely hate Peggy.]] She'd already shown herself to have no problem lying to her family for her own personal gain, but she usually had the decency to only lie about non serious things.
** After Bill has a [[HeroicBSOD BSOD]] and steals a tank, all the guys try to return it to the base. When they get pulled over by the cops Bill, in an extremely authoritative army-commander voice, proceeds to make up excuses for why he's driving a tank in the streets in the middle of the night, why he's in his underwear, and why he and the female police officer should have dinner together, AND IT WORKS.
** Dale finally telling Bill what he REALLY thinks of the Harmonaholics. "Bill!! Bill, you have to be the stupidest man on the planet to think this is a good idea! Have you seen what you're wearing?! That outfit makes you look like a sequined train wreck! Look at you!! You're part of a twelve-headed jackass! This chorus is the feces that is produced when shame eats too much stupidity! You people make me envy the deaf and the blind!"
** In "Square Footed Monster", when the positively ''enormous'' "[=McMansion=]" Ted Wassonasong builds begins falling apart during a storm, threatening to flatten everyone's homes as it collapses, Hank, Bill, Ted, Boomhauer and Peggy decide to take the house down before it destroys their homes. And by that, I mean they break out their tools and ''tear the house down''. Hank in particular rips into the house with a ''[[ChainsawGood chainsaw!]]''
** Three words: Bill Beat Diabetes. After his doctor pretty much told him to give up and accept that he'd lose his legs. And then, when Bill gets better and the doctor [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial claims he didn't do anything that constituted malpractice]], Bill started [[IncrediblyLamePun kicking]] his ass in retribution.
---->'''Bill''': My legs work just fine. Isn't that ''inspiring''? ''(SlasherSmile)''
** And then there's the episode where Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhaur beat a bunch of rowdy teenagers at a game of paintball.
----->'''Recording of Luanne's voice''': Please leave a message after the beep.
----->'''Dale''': (Deadpan) Beep. (Shoots teenager with paint gun)
** The episode where Bobby has to work at the race track for a moronic, drunk, abusive boss. Hank doesn't see anything is happening until Bobby is told to cross the race-track in the middle of a race to give his boss a beer. Hank pulls him back to safe ground, runs across the track himself, kicks through the chainlink fence separating him from the BadBoss, and proceeds to kick his ass all over the back alley.
** The episode where Bobby goes to Military school. ''Cotton Hill-2 days. Bobby Hill-[[spoiler:3 days]]''

Added new Tale Spin page to index. Removed now-redundant Tale Spin examples.

* Awesome/TaleSpin

* ''TaleSpin'' has many, if only because Baloo and Kit are just that good at saving the day.
** Special mention, of course, goes out to "Plunder And Lightning," which is pretty much a Crowning Moment for everyone involved. Kit for stealing Don Karnage's secret weapon single-handedly, Don Karnage, among other things, for being at his most menacing and laying siege to Cape Suzette with a ''giant LightningGun,'' and Baloo for stopping said LightningGun by ramming his beloved plane directly into it, plus a ton of [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming heartwarming moments]] along the way.
*** Not only that, when he finally catches Kit trying to sneak on board his ship again, Don Karnage throws him overboard from thousands of feet up in the air. Baloo uses his new but damaged overdrive to fly miles in the span of a few seconds and ''catches him a foot before he would have hit the ground.''
** Baloo taking down Daring Dan Dawson for nearly killing Kit just for the sake of pleasing his fans.
-->'''Baloo''': "Don't worry Dan, ''[[IronicEcho it's only part of the show!]]''"
** The end of Bygones. Don Karnage thought no one would be stupid enough to attack the Iron Vulture head on. He was wrong... [[ThatCameOutWrong about the stupid part.]]
** Baloo does pretty well in "My Fair Baloo", [[KnightInSourArmor saving the passengers of the Sproose Moose from ''two'' attempted hijackings, a plane crash and being stranded on a desert island]], and just to top it off [[KnightInShiningArmor effortlessly saves Rebecca from a giant]] [[TheJungleBook Kaa-esque snake]]. Even with all that under his belt however the true CMOA is arguably given to Rebecca herself who, [[UngratefulBastard after the crew chews out Baloo for ruining the party with his heroics]], basically tells them to stuff it.
-->'''Rebecca''': "Wake up, you weasels! That man just saved our lives. He may be crude and 'rough around the edges', but I'd take him over all of you put together!''"

** In ''TheRealAdventuresOfJonnyQuest'', Race gets one at the end of "Manhattan Maneater", when a small mob gathers under a subway to kill a tiger that's been wandering around. Before it can be shot, Race hits it with a tranquilizer, takes the gun off of the tough hunter, and ''bends the barrel'' with a huge hunk of metal lying around. When the slimy reporter waves a microphone in his face and angrily asks "Do you know what you did?", Race knocks the reporter over with said microphone and says "Yeah, I just shut you down".
** Race get another one in "To Bardo And Back", when Jeremiah Surd turns into a bull (Race's greatest fear) and tries to either run him down or force him across a mystic river that equals instant death if crossed. After being chased for a minute, Race catches Surd by the horns, and ''picks him up and tosses him into the river''. This forces Surd to change back, then Race [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomps]] his ass before shoving him to the other side of the river. Only the quick thinking of Lorenzo, TheDragon, saves Surd from dying.

* While the ''{{Futurama}}'' episode "Jurassic Bark" is famous for its DownerEnding, it also contained Bender's CrowningMomentOfAwesome, where he ''dived into a lava pit'', and got out with Fry's dog. He said it best himself:
--> '''Bender''': And that is why they call me "Bender the Magnificent".
** It becomes even more awesome when you realize that his line is the punchline for a joke set up at the beginning of the episode.
---> '''Fry''': And that's why they call you "Bender the Magnificent"!
---> '''Bender''': No it isn't.
** This is slightly mitigated by the fact that [[{{Jerkass}} he threw the dog into the lava in the first place]].
*** But then, it's made completely awesome again ''because'' he chose to dive back in after the dog after chucking it into the lava - he did it just because he realized how much his actions upset Fry and was overcame his jealousy to fix his mistake.
* The definitive Crowning Moment of Awesome for Fry is the stunning musical number at the end of "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings".
** And his less-than-stunning musical number after getting his old hands back counts as a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming. Especially after he sees Leela's reaction.
** This scene also contains Doctor Zoidberg's CrowningLineOfAwesome:
--> '''Zoidberg''': Your music is bad and you should feel bad!
** Not to mention his classic lyric:
--> '''Zoidberg''': I can't believe everybody's just ad-libbing!
** On a musical note, Hermes gets a nice one with his own musical number at the Central Bureaucracy, while sorting a literally mountainous pile of thousands message tubes in under four minutes. "Requisition me a beat."
*** His entrance line earlier in the scene also qualifies:
----> '''Morgan Proctor''': I'm afraid he's lost in the master "in" pile. And it would take some sort of giant mechanical atomic powered sorting machine to find him.
----> '''Hermes''': You rang?
*** In the same episode, the head bureaucrat gets one with what this troper considers the single best line in the whole series:
---> '''Number 1.0''': "You are technically correct. The best KIND of correct!"
** Another one of Fry happens in ''Three Hundred Big Boys'' after he drinks his 100th cup of coffee, turning him from a paranoid, jittery caffeine overdosed mess into a cool, collected and Speed-Force-powered Flash-like superhero, giving him the superhuman speed to calmly put out the museum fire and evacuate by hand every single person - all within a few blurry seconds.
** As well as near the end of ''[[TheMovie Bender's Big Score]]'', when [[spoiler:the forces of Earth engage in a space battle against the nudist aliens' fleet, with Hermes directing them, [[ThemeMusicPowerUp and the theme song blaring]]]].
* ''The Beast With a Billion Backs'':
** Kif gets one when he [[spoiler:punches Brannigan straight in the guts at the end of the movie]].
** The head of Stephen Hawking gets one when he uses his EyeBeams to shut Farnsworth and Wernstrom up.
---> '''Stephen Hawking''': I didn't know I could do that.
** Bender gets several of them:
*** The duel against Calculon.
*** In an act that would cross the MoralEventHorizon if it weren't for RefugeInAudacity: [[spoiler:he punts his own firstborn son into a vat of magma for the [[DealWithTheDevil Robot Devil]], in exchange for an army to TakeOverTheWorld with]].
*** The epic battle at the end of the movie when he [[spoiler:uses an army of [[SpacePirates Space Pirate]] Robots to attack Heaven, taking eternal bliss away from an ''entire universe'' of people]].
**** And then lectures humanity on the imperfections of real love.
* In the episode ''Godfellas''...''GOD'' gets a CMOA after sending Bender back to Earth where Fry and Leela have left some monks locked in a laundry cupboard. Fry decides that their god will save them, but Bender goes to rescue the monks, saying "You can't depend on God for anything! He told me that himself." Then we cut back to God who says to himself...
---> '''God''': When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
** To clarify, God has BASICALLY told him that he doesn't know where Earth is and doesn't listen to prayers (Apparently he tuned them out a while ago.) this is all however a Xanatos Gambit to send him home and get the monks out of the closet, and to safety. Making Bender think that in order for him to get something done, you have to do it yourself. Returning to the quote above.
*** Maybe (again, quote above). God doesn't do anything about Bender until he receives Fry's random prayer, and is clearly surprised when he gets it. I've always seen it as being partially an act and partially truth. Or maybe more or maybe less. It isn't entirely clear (again, see the the quote).
* A subtle one arises in the episode "The Why of Fry", when Fry discovers that the Nibblonians set up his cryogenic freeze and his new life in the future as a XanatosGambit against the Brain Spawn. The dialogue while he's angrily choking Nibbler might've been meant as absurd humor, but that last line comes off as a CMOA for Fry, especially since he's such a passive victim so often:
-->'''Fry''': Well, why couldn't you just ask me?
-->'''Nibbler''': We were afraid you would refuse.
-->'''Fry''': Of course not, I love the future.
-->'''Nibbler''': Then why are you choking me right now?
-->'''Fry''': Because I ''don't'' like being used!
* How can you not mention the episode where Zoidberg SETS A FLAG ON FIRE and blows up an entire alien fortress?
* Near the end of ''Into The Wild Green Yonder'', Bender ''bends a brick wall.'' That shouldn't even be physically ''possible!''
* In the episode "Time Keeps Slippin'", after finding out that they need a doomsday device to save the day, the Professor replies "Doomsday device? Ah, now the ball's in Farnsworth's court!" and proceeds to press a button, revealing that he has SEVERAL DOOMSDAY DEVICES!
-->'''Farnsworth''': I suppose I could part with one and still be feared.
* "The Sting" is better known for being a MindScrew, but let's not forget that Bender, Fry and Leela managed to successfully complete the mission that killed at least two of the professor's previous crews. Fry interposing for Leela was particularly epic.
--> '''Leela''': "Nuts to that old crew! The only thing they could do better than us was suck and die!"
* How about Leela threatening her new boyfriend to give her her old face back with the line "Listen bud, at the end of the day, one of us is only going to have one eye!"
* The new episode ''The Late Phillip J. Fry'', where the Professor makes a quick stop in time with the Time Machine. Being him, you think he's off to do something science or engineering related. Nope, [[spoiler: he ''freaking explodes'' Hitler via [[FrickinLaserBeam laserbeam]].]] Needless to say, this troper was blown away by the PureAwesomeness.
* In the 100th episode, there are two:
** Bender, while the Planet Express crew are delivering a souffle with nitroglycerin in it, prepares to jump across a huge gap to reach the customer's house by backing up ALL THE WAY across the moon where she lives on and he sticks an epic landing after making it.
** Also, near the end, where Fry [[spoiler: pulls a Moses and parts a wave of sewage!]]

** Race gets one at the end of ''Manhattan Maneater'', when a small mob gathers under a subway to kill a tiger that's been wandering around.
** Race get another one in ''To Bardo And Back'', when Jeremiah Surd turns into a bull (Race's greatest fear) and tries to either run him down or force him across a mystic river that equals instant death if crossed.

* For this troper, it was the entire Spongebob Squarepants movie. It was probably the best-written kids-show movie this troper's seen, with all of the right humor that made Spongebob popular to begin with, a pretty gripping story involving Plankton finally getting his wish to rule the world, and it added in a lot of great character development for both Spongebob and Patrick, who wind up growing up quite a bit in the film. And, to top it all off, the movie ends with a rather heartwarming moment for Spongebob as he gets his well-deserved promotion and topping off the end of the series(for this troper AND the creators) with a good little pop song by Ween with a montage of Spongebob enjoying his new position. Apparently, the creators have stated that even though they've continued making episodes, the movie is basically where the Spongebob story ends.

** Sylvester gets a Crowning Moment in the Chuck Jones cartoon ''The Fraidy Cat''. Porky Pig and his pet Sylvester find themselves in a haunted house, where the mice terrorize Sylvester by throwing knives, bowling balls and other weapons at him and Porky. Porky, of course, is oblivious to the threat, until, fed up with Sylvester's seeming cowardice, heads into the kitchen to confront the source of Sylvester's fears. The mice end up leading him to the executioner's block, and Sylvester, tied up under a mass of ropes, can only hold a sign saying, "You were right, Sylvester." Sylvester runs to the hills, only to be confronted by his conscience(a pale blue Sylvester standing next to a reader-board). His conscience points out that Porky raised him from a kitten, and then shows a comparative size chart of Sylvester and a mouse, and finally produces a sign reading, "Now get in there and fight! Fight! FIGHT!!!". This starts Sylvester getting riled up, to the point where he runs up to a tree, rips off a limb with his bare hands and brandishes it like a club--before discarding the limb and [[BeyondTheImpossible uprooting the whole tree]] and charging back to the haunted house to kick mouse butt!
