* ''WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse'': In "Eclipse Lake" Amity, voiced by Creator/MaeWhitman, starts carrying a flask of Abomination juice and using its contents as a weapon in a manner reminiscent of [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender Katara's]] [[MakingASplash waterbending]].

* Brazilian extinct dubbing studio Herbert Richers was such a loose environment during the late 80s\early 90s that the voice actors liked to throw this, such as acknowledging Manolo Rey by having someone say "Mr. Manolo's bakery". One the actors fondly remembers that in one episode of ''Westernanimation/DenverTheLastDinosaur'', the guy playing a fashion designer decided to basically list the voice actors in a French accent.

** The title character's butler Professor Jones, voiced by Jonathan Harris, is pretty much a reprisal of Jonathan’s role as Dr. Smith from ''Series/LostInSpace'' -- snotty and coward, with some lines directly lifted from ''[=LiS=]''. A RunningGag in his introductory episode "Mission: Freakazoid" involves everyone asking Jones if he was "on a show with a robot". Also, Sgt. Cosgrove and the villain Guitierrez resemble their voice actors, Ed Asner and Ricardo Montalbán, respectively.

* In a ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' episode formatted like ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'', Creator/TressMacNeille voices Bart Simpson-{{Expy}} guest host. In another episode, she voices Babs imitating Bart, Marge and Maggie. Tress voices many characters on ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''.

* In ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'', Obi-Wan's love interest is the Duchess Satine. Ewan [=McGregor=] played Obi-Wan in the ''Star Wars'' prequels as well as the male lead in ''Film/MoulinRouge''. His character's love interest was named Satine.

** In "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E22HurricaneFluttershy Hurricane Fluttershy]]", Twilight Sparkle has a squirrel trying to tell her something, and on being asked what it's saying replies "Do I ''look'' like I speak Squirrel?" Twilight is voiced by Creator/TaraStrong, who also voiced Bubbles on ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'', who ''does'' in fact speak squirrel.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs'':

* ''WesternAnimation/TheAvengersEarthsMightiestHeroes'' manages to combine this with TalkingToHimself. Creator/FredTatasciore plays both the Comicbook/IncredibleHulk (reprising the role from... practically everything the Hulk has been in since 2003) and Graviton. Then Graviton lets loose one of Hulk's {{catchphrase}}s:

* ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'', especially when it entered its LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters phase, absolutely loved these.

*** Dutch film director and voice actor Arnold Gelderman, the Netherlands' dubbed voice for Jokey, played said outlaw in the [[WesternAnimation/RobinHood Disney]] version of the folklore.\\

** From "The Night the Clown Cried", Crybaby Clown is voiced by Creator/MarkHamill, who has [[ComicBook/TheJoker much experience]] with voicing clowns.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'':

** In "Meet the Quagmires", where the timeline was altered, President Gore killed Osama bin Laden. Lois says: "Who woulda thought that bin Laden was hiding out in the cast of ''Series/{{MADtv}}''?" Quagmire remarks: "Man, the perfect hiding spot. The one place no one would look!" Alex Borstein, the voice of Lois, had a recurring role on ''Series/{{MADtv}}''.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Green Eggs and Ham|2019}}'': Broadway star Creator/DaveedDiggs, best known for playing UsefulNotes/MarquisDeLaFayette in ''Theatre/{{Hamilton}}'', plays another character who's a revolutionary with a French accent who sings a song which parodies [[Theatre/LesMiserables Les Miserables]] in "Mouse."

** Examples include bringing in the entire lead cast of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' to voice the first Royal Flush Gang, bickering brothers Hawk and Dove being played by Wayne and Kevin Arnold from ''Series/TheWonderYears'', and Nazi-esque villain Virman Vundabar, voiced by Arte Johnson, saying "verrry interesting... but schtupid!"[[note]]He replaced the last word with futile, but close enough. [[/note]] -- his CatchPhrase in his most famous role, Wolfgang the German Soldier on ''Series/RowanAndMartinsLaughIn''.

*** Isaac Sumdac calling Sari "The joy and the laughter", referencing Creator/TaraStrong's previous role as Bubbles in ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls''.

** Discord, the villain of the season 2 premiere is played by Creator/JohnDeLancie, who [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration once again plays]] a [[RealityWarper reality-warping]], [[BadassFingerSnap finger-snapping]], teleporting [[TheTrickster Trickster Archetype]] with a cruel sense of humor. * Minor villain Black Spider from ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'' is played by Creator/JoshKeaton, who played another wisecracking person with [[WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan arachnid]] themed powers in a Creator/GregWeisman production.

** In the second ''Star Wars'' spoof, Peter short-circuits the argument by bringing up ''Film/WithoutAPaddle'', which causes Chris to scream and run out of the room angrily. ''Without a Paddle'' was a horrible box office flop that starred Seth Green.

* In ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'', Morty's mother Beth is a horse surgeon voiced by Creator/Sarah Chalke.

* ''WesternAnimation/BigCityGreens'': A foreign dub-based example in "Gramma Driver", Gramma Alice Green becomes the getaway driver for an OutlawCouple inspired by [[Anime/PokemonTheSeries Jessie and James]]. The reason for this is because Gramma is voiced by Inuko Inuyama in the show's Japanese dub, and her most famous role is Meowth.

* Creator/AdamWest [[AdamWesting practically made a new career out of this]]. On an episode of ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'' he voiced a washed-up has-been actor whose most famous role was playing a superhero in a television show. Later on, he voiced Mayor Grange in ''WesternAnimation/TheBatman'', and appeared in ''Series/LoisAndClark''. He had a steady role as Mayor Adam West of ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''. (Yes, the names are the same and he's insane, but there doesn't seem to be an actual connection to Batman.) Adam West also appeared in ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyBravo'' a few times.
** As a bonus, a handful of minor roles, including some mention above, involved some parody of Batman (for example, Catman from ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'').

* Creator/WillFriedle again invokes ''WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond'' by playing Bats' on-again, off-again partner ComicBook/BlueBeetle in ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold''. The show was full of these, particularly referencing the Franchise/DCAnimatedUniverse.

** In "Leela and the Genestalk", Bender finds [[WesternAnimation/AdventureTime Jake and Finn]] trapped in Mom's floating Genetics lab. Creator/JohnDiMaggio voices both Bender and Jake.
