Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I mean, if you can get tropes for these shows, yes. There's no reason not to.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThis Is a Wiki. These shows do deserve pages of their own, but only people who have watched them can make those pages. Since you seem to be a fan of them, that makes you the best candidate for creating these pages.
As a fan of Brazilian and South American animation, you're very likely be the only one familiar with those shows.
If you think these should get own pages, see This Is a Wiki, There Is No Such Thing as Notability and How to Create a Work Page. (meaning as long as you understand the writing style you're free to make pages yourself)
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI would, but that would have to require putting actual context in the examples. I don't want the front pages of these shows to be flooded with ZCEs after ZCEs. I would also need some help from some tropers who might be fans of these shows despite there obscurity, since I don't want to spend all day editing these pages by myself.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIWell, you can't assume there are other fans of these shows if they have no pages yet.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAt minimum, you only need three tropes with sufficient context for a page to be keepable. There's no rush, you can go one page at a time, perhaps using a Sandbox to come up with a description and enough tropes before making it for real.
And again, you're familiar with those shows, that means you're able to give proper context to the tropes.
??
This isn't some game show or random Reddit thread. Don't know why you're treating it like one.
There aren't any pages on these shows because no one has made them yet. If you want pages to be made for them, then the onus is on you to make them. Telling us that you can't put enough context for examples and asking up to help with that before the pages are even made is not a very good omen.
Because I'm used to using it 🤪
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIYou can always start with Sandbox/ oages and figure out context later. If they're not in public pages you can take as much time as you need and ask for advice.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupOk 👍 (though I need someone else to set up the pages with me)
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VII^3 things.
- there's actually a guide that lays out how to get started making a wiki page here. But to make a Sandbox, just replace the end of the url for a typical work page (for example, the url for Wreck-It Ralph is https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph and you're going to replace everything following .php) with Sandbox/[INSERT WORK NAME HERE]. Alternatively, you could work in your personal sandbox which is at Sandbox.Toon Abby.
- If you want to get others' opinions and feedback on the pages while you're drafting them, you can draft out the pages at the Trope Launch Pad (TLP) (if you do, ignore anyone who replies to your TLP draft with Work Pages Are a Free Launch. they are but you can use TLP to draft them). There people can comment and give constructive criticism on where the page can be improved.
- you should really try 1 and 2 before asking for further help. people are friendly, but people also don't want to feel like you're trying to push off the work of making pages on to them. and again, as the person who knows these works, you're the best person to make sure information and examples are correct. People can't trope what they haven't seen.
I think I should start creating Sandboxes of the former two first since I know them better.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIISeptember 16th update: Already created a sandbox page for the currently red-linked sandboxes. As for Underdogs United, I've finally know who the English dub cast is, as well as the director and dubbing studio. I won't give out information until the sandbox page is made.
Edited by ToonAbby "The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VII^ if you do want feedback, i second amathieus advice to put them in the TropeLaunchPad— its optional for work pages but is probably a better way of getting sustained attention on each page than Ask The Tropers
We also have a thread to review Work drafts.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
As a fan of Brazilian and South American animation as a whole, I have suggested that we should create pages for shows from that country that don't have one, largely due to not being well known outside of their home countries (Ba Da Bean being the closest exception) and their wikis being either non-existent or small. From a list from most likely to least likely:
What do you guys think of these shows and do you want them to have their own pages on This Very Wiki. Comment down below to see your answers.
Update: Ok so apparently, someone has made an IMDb page for Underdogs United. I'm gonna assume this page was made recently since it looks like it was left as a first draft.
August 11, 2023 Update: I changed the Ba Da Bean English dub playlist to El Lazor (who uploaded all of the dub episodes) because the original playlist was taken down for unknown reasons (possibly to avoid getting Screwed by WBD)
