Never watched Psycho Pass, seems promising.
I had a brilliant idea once.Shiki is really great, but although it mostly has an adult cast, it does have a few whiny teens, as i recall.
Psycho Pass is really good, and had me enthralled throughout the whole first season.
The second season is really... eh. It's a huge step down from the first season.
The movie picks back up in quality, though.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeThe second season isn't good because, unlike season 1 and the movie, Gen Urobuchi didn't do the script for it. Something to note, I guess, since @Land Cruiserman mentioned Fate/Zero.
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromI'm looking for a good horror anime. I'll take any suggestions you can give.
Again, Puella Magi Madoka Magica. (Damn is that one applicable to so many different things...) Don't be fooled by all the cutesy Magical Girls, because by the end, it turns into a Goddamned Cosmic Horror Story. Definitely worth checking out for even a horror fan.

Shiki, yo.
I don't think Madoka is really a horror anime. A thriller with aspects of horror, yeah.

School Live/Gakkou Gurashi is another pretty twisted horror story. It's one of those shows where it is best to go in as blindly as possible hence the lack of a proper pothole. Also, The Reveal in said first episode makes all the subtle Foreshadowing an instant Rewatch Bonus.
Again, it's very cutesy, but don't let that fool you either. It just makes the surprise all the better.

These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.Madoka isn't horror.
It's horror enough for me. Just look at all the Nightmare Fuel. How is that not horror?
@pointless233: Shin Sekai Yori. If you can handle bad animation, there's also Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

An open Recommendation for "Anthem of the Heart"
If you like Slice of Life Teen Romances.
everyone should watch Sakura Trick literally right now

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeOkay. At this point, I'll take anything that might be good.
I could use something fluffy. Anyone got a recommendation for a light-hearted action series? Something like Zoids: New Century, Dai-Guard, or Gundam Build Fighters. (Mecha not required, those are just the first examples that came to mind.)
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Smile Pretty Cure! is as lighthearted as it gets for the action genre. Even the villains are hilarious! Sample scene (also, enable CC).
Yes.
The pace is extremely fast, and animation struggles to keep consistent.
However it's an interesting take on the sports story. The main character has stood on the world stage, but croaked everytime. It's less shonen power-ups, and more like an artistic awakening. Using the tools that were always there to make something more. The animation at its worst isn't bad, and it's only jrring because when it's good there is no competition.
Also gay. Not gay in a queerbaity way. But fairly overtly gay, and actually an integral part to the character dynamic between our hero and his idol.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I'm looking for an actiony shonen show, but nothing really mainstream. Not too picky, but I just want something not as well known I want to check out
If you're into Humongous Mecha, there's always Giant Robo. It's basically Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann before Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann; action packed, over the top, completely insane, and gloriously so, all while containing a surprisingly nice amount of Character Development. The sad part is that it's not nearly as well known as Gurren, but seeing as this means it fits your requirements, I guess that isn't such a bad thing.

For Sports Shonen, Baby Steps is a personal favorite. It's a really good take on the sports narrative, with one of the most fun leads out there; an analytical, weak yet skilled, and kind of OC protagonist who's just doing his gosh darn hardest.

Try Gundam Build Fighters it's action Shonen, Super Robot and Sports Shonen all wrapped up into one.
Shiki, perhaps?
