What interesting things have you only recently learned about?

To be clear, this is about things which have been true for some time and you only recently learned about, not things that only happened recently. In particular, recent deaths of celebrities and other high-profile individuals should go in the General RIP Thread.

The Magnum, P.I. theme has an extended version that was released as a single. It has a cool jazzy section after the part that was used in the opening.

Speaking of restaurants, I found out that with the exception of their location in Naperville, Illinois, the Hollywood Palms movie theaters are only located throughout the state of Texas, and there are none in Florida. Aw, man. That's going to take some getting used to.

The first mall ever built by the company that's now the largest mall developer and owner in the US is closing on April 1.

I actually went there yesterday (Mounds Mall in Anderson, Indiana). It certainly didn't feel like a mall that would not be open two weeks from now.
