This isn't about the legend of the author, but about the comic itself. Lets see how long this lasts.

For those who don't know, Sonichu was created with the intention of getting a girlfriend for the author, and it is very meta-referential, with the author being a regular character and the other characters being aware that they are in a comic. This may sound like a better surrealistic comic, and yes it does. But its not that comic, this is a dark place that in, meta-fiction, is referred to only in hushed tones out of fear of awakening the dark evil lurking within.

The problem is that the comic is a vehicle for the author to spout his views, using unusual strawmen that end up being rather sympathetic, and a broken view of social interaction, especially regarding women. The biggest problem is that the author has no tact, using insults like, "You are weak like the World Trade Center Towers on 9/11" and essentially going off on an ego trip.

But if nothing else, reading this comic will allow you appreciate all the works of art, or even not so well made works of art, in the world because they so much right in comparison.

Well he's talking about WWII when the Chinese bomb pearl harbor and they commuted suicide by running their planes into the ship.

Yeah, it's pretty much completely impossible to separate Chris-chan and Sonichu. Alone, the comic itself is agreed to be both So Bad Its Horrible and pretty much incomprehensible without knowledge of the background and context of each part. (which only contributes to the horribleness)

As for Chris-chan himself though, I'm actually pretty sure the golden age of trolling has passed. The trolls are just doing the same stuff over and over now, and even though Chris occasionally finds new ways to humiliate himself from public there's not really much further he can go at this point.

I think blackface singing is a new frontier.

I personally want to sing blackface. I want to sing "Ol' Man River" in Show Boat and star in Porgy And Bess.

Anyway, comic.

It's a shame, because I'd honestly like a chance to do some writing on it. I even sent CWC an e-mail asking if I could write for it, like doing a run on a comic series. No response, which is probably for the better.

^ You clearly had absolutely no idea what you were getting into.

Besides, Chris-chan is, or at least was, super-possessive of 'his' comic despite it being a bad fanfic. Apparently he thought he could impress girls by having an accomplishment under his belt.

Actually, I think that the idea of a Sonic-ized Pokemon character could have worked out and made for an interesting crossover. Sadly, due to it being bungled by one Christian Weston Chandler, no respectable web artist will touch the concept with a ten-foot pole.

I'm interested in giving it the Alan Moore Supreme or Grant Morrison Animal Man treatment. Lots of metafiction and all that. Here's my idea -

Count Graduon is after a crystal that he can use to control all of reality. Magi-Chan goes after him, but alone, because he thinks he knows how to solve all the problems once and for all - he wants to control the crystal himself, and he doesn't want the other Sonichus interfering. So they battle, and Magi-Chan uses his psychic powers to shatter the crystal. The world begins to unravel into countless threads, and Magi-Chan grabs them, weaving the universe back together, causing the reboot. However, Count Graduon also gets his hands on some of the threads, which he uses to create the villains.

I think that makes for a much better continuity reset than "it'll happen during the Clip Show Episode."

I'm also thinking of turning the various trolls into super-villains, like the Asperpedia Four - Mao is a Playful Hacker, while Alec is a master of disguise.

...

Man, those comic books and World Of Warcraft have really rotted my brain.

I still kinda hope he decides to pick this back up again, I've actually read the entire thing one time when I was bored, honestly a fascinating product.

The last chapter was the one where he tortured some guys to death in the most horrible ways he could imagine, right?

It's a facinating study of human behavior.

Man is frustrated by lack of sex and makes a (not very good) comic, people torment him, man takes his aggression out in the form of torturing comic versions of the tormentors in ways that bring his sanity into question.

So, in the U.S., randomly stripping is a signal that you want to sing the national anthem? - That Human

Sorry to be a little off-topic, but I'm currently writing a sitcom pitch based on Chris Chan's misadventures. How well do you think it would go? Needless to say the R-rated stuff would be replaced.

I don't know about this.

I'm reminded of Atlas Shrugged and Ayn Rand—you probably can't discuss the book without getting into its author. And it's deeply polarizing between her supporters / followers and seemingly everyone else who think she's utterly full of shit.

Sonichu and CWC don't even have supporters. It's basically all Hatedom—not all undeserved—with a touch of Bile Fascination.

I don't think there's much to discuss here without the context of CWC. This has to be one of most insanely personal things ever written and published to an audience, while making full use of the worst tropes for storytelling. Stephen King wrote himself into The Dark Tower and involved his car accident in the plot—and it wasn't about Super-King using his amazing powers to punish the guy who hit him.

So yeah, take a work that's both awful and like a wind-tunnel into severely troubled creator's mind...if we're not going to discuss him or the quality of the work...what's really left?

Nothing, which is Why this thread had been dead for five years, until it got necro'd.

As for the sitcom: sure, kick a mentally ill person while he's down, Why don't ya.

Well, to be fair, he's also unsympathetic. Yeah, I know, I've spent far too much time on the CWCKI. I can probably delete the parts about the mental challenging in the sitcom though.

@Raining Metal:

My suggestion: don't. It's fine for a fanfic, but for an honest-to-god sitcom that you want televised, I really don't think modelling your show after someone like Chris is not a good idea. He does not need more attention than he already does.

At best I would make it an animated sadist show, but in that case, I would make it a cross-section of the worst of Internet culture.

What I'm doing is mixing up Chris-Chan's poor luck with the notorious Cracked Writer Adam Tod Brown's pretentiousness and condescending nature. The lead character will be a writer for a humor site like he is.

What better way to make a Sadist Show than to create the two biggest Hate Sinks on the internet?
