Sure Kingdom Hearts has given us roughly the same effect, but this will give us a chance to see a Disney crossover outside of Square Enix's kudzuplot

Dissidia: Ghibli

Forces of Nature:

  • San: Specializes in high-speed, stick-and-move style fighting.
  • Chihiro: Uses Yubaba's contracts to cast spells (mostly status effects that do Damage over Time) at a distance.
  • Howl: A mix of high-powered combat spells and melee attacks.
  • Shoukichi: Mysterious little fellow. Lots of melee attacks. Can use shapeshifting as a disguise, nullifying any ranged attack if done in time.
  • The Baron: Fast melee character, does a fair amount of damage.
  • Marco: Powerful melee attacks, but slow. Has some good ranged attacks, too.
  • Ged: Powerful ranged magic attacks. Can fly, teleport, and generally fuck your shit up.

Forces of Corruption:

  • Lady Eboshi: Well balanced ranged attacks and melee with a katana.
  • Yubaba: Extremely powerful but slow spells.
  • The Witch of the Waste: Uses powerful magic to assume the appearance and abilities of any other character.
  • Wonderland CEO: Melee attacks with improvised weaponry. Surprisingly well-balanced.
  • Prince Lune: High-speed melee fighter with an epee.
  • Ferrari: Ranged and areal combat specialist.
  • Gebbeth: Devastating melee attacks. Weak ranged spells. Appears as a random other character enveloped in shadowy clouds.

For some reason, the localizations out of japan are missing entire sections of the story, leaving gaping Plot Holes the size of... well, large things. And the shape of... well, large things.

Fortunately, to counterbalance this issue, the localization teams got permission to change the requirements to unlock the secret third team, whose story runs parallel to the main story, meaning that instead of beating all of the individual character arcs (as in the Japanese version), players outside of Japan can play these stories immediately after beating any other character arc.

Still no Tanuki Pound, though.

Team Arsene
  • Arsene Lupin III - Melee attacks that do light damage, but cause opponent to stagger, setting up insane combos. Also has a medium-ranged attack for slightly better damage.
  • Ishikawa Goemon XIII - Fast, powerful melee attacks.
  • Jigen Daisuke - Long range, very powerful attacks. Not much in the way of melee, though.
  • Fujiko Mine - Mixture of ranged attacks (watch for her devastating machine gun) and melee attacks. Insanely difficult to hit due to high speed.

I thought it might be interesting doing one for my own creations, though because some of these characters/stories/worlds are quite old and my memory is bad, I've had to merge some of them and they don't all appear in their original forms... so Dissidia: Eventua, here it is!

Defenders of the Omniverse, led by Substance.

  • No I: Joshua Strasin (Aut Neve): A mixture of agile melee attacks and a unique 'reversal' technique that lets him reflect certain ranged attacks back at his opponent.
  • No II: Ulisse Fernandez (Aut Neve): Powerful but slow melee attacker with a VERY slow but powerful and accurate ranged attack using his 'revolver'.
  • No III: Sophia Ellis (Flesh and Steel): Ranged fighter, uses a pair of hand-guns for rapid fire and rather flashy Guns Akimbo style combat.
  • No IV: Chris Richard (Eventelia): Balanced fighter, closest thing to The Mario of the cast. Versatile but less effective when forced to specilize, think Link as he fights in Super Smash Bros.
  • No V: Marsh Tilt (Eventelia): Uses slow but powerful ranged attacks, mostly on the ground, to stun and mess around with his opponents, using the terrain to his advantage.
  • No VI: Hoopert & Blob (Fragments Crossing): A ring shaped creature and a toothy blob, they fight using 'quirky' and rapid attacks, but are quite fragile and slow-moving.
  • No VII: Katia Pendragon (Fragments Crossing): The female descendant of King Arthur, she uses a variaty of ancient and powerful relics for a versatile array of attacks.
  • No VIII: Sprocket (Fragments Crossing): An uber fast unicycle shaped robot whose incredible movement speed lets him decide when and where the fight takes place.
  • No IX: Nathan (The Wyrld): An inexperianced young hero who wields two swords, his unique fighting style is flashy and complicated, but powerful when used correctly and timed properly.
  • No X: Marcus (The Wyrld): Powerful but slow melee fighter, toughest of the Defenders and balances it out with some powerful, if slow, ranged magic.
  • No XI: Jake (Broken Earth): Very fast and powerful melee fighter with some good ranged attacks, but also leaves himself open to attack easily and quite fragile.
  • No XII: Floe (Broken Earth): Rapid melee attacks and a 'dance like' fighting style make her hard to hit, and freezing attacks can open the enemy up to further combos, but the most fragile of the Defenders.
  • No XIII: Lankolyk (The Four Lords): Slow and fragile, but able to damage enemies over time and inflict a variety of 'status ailments' to weaken her foe.

Champions of the Void, led by Void.

  • No I: Syphon (Aut Neve): Something of an Evil Counterpart to Joshua, Syphon uses a similar moveset, but is tougher and slower. He also can summon up minions to distract his opponent.
  • No II: Knives (Aut Neve): A psychotic assasin, Knives uses an oddball mid to long-range style of combat, alongside grappling attacks to draw the enemy in close for lots of damage. Unfortunately, he can't take much punishment.
  • No III: Ke'starnot (Flesh and Steel): A tiny fragment of a great Eldritch Abomination, it fights using tentacles and Good Old Fisticuffs, of all things. Hard to hit and tough, but its attacks aren't actually that powerful, relying more on a battle of attrition to win.
  • No IV: The Dark Prince (Eventelia): An elegant and deadly accurate fighter, teleporting around and striking from seemingly anywhere. Also quite tough, but his attacks aren't actually very strong.
  • No V: Edward (Broken Earth): A zitty, freckled geek whose mastery of magic makes him a powerful fighter... so long as he and his opponent are in the air.
  • No VI: Dr Monochrome (Fragments Crossing): A mad scientist who drains the colour from his opponent, stealing their health/stamina/points etc and racking up damage slowly over time.
  • No VII: Nexus (Fragments Crossing): A strange luminescent entity, it strikes with powerful 'traps' in a style similar to The Emperor from Dissidia Final Fantasy.
  • No VIII: Jade (Fragments Crossing): A 'female' robot and illegal racer. Her skills are fast, but usually have some sort of build-up and 'charge'. She's also quite sneaky, apparently.
  • No IX: Kronos (The Wyrld): An enigmatic man whose power over time allows him to warp the fabric of reality itself.
  • No X: General Kalenz (The Wyrld): A tough, heavily armoured warrior whose lack of speed is made up for with sheer offensive power and toughness.
  • No XI: Alice (Broken Earth): A skilled psychic hero, Alice uses her vast psionic power to halt and manipulate her foes, but lacks direct attacking strength.
  • No XII: Hue (Broken Earth): A mysterious swordsman who strikes with rapid & deadly melee attacks, but lacks any sort of ranged attack.
  • No XIII: Sholryk (The Four Lords): A brutal warrior who relies on devastating melee attacks and 'juggling' his foes to win the day.

Phew, there it is. Because some of them don't have proper rivals/opponents, I had to pair some of them up with characters from other 'franchises'. For example, there's only one villain representing Eventelia and only two representing Broken Earth (that really fit, anyway), so I had to pair up Marsh with Edward.

I have been waiting for an excuse to post something like this:

Dissidia: RIFF.

Warriors of Roger Ebert: Nostalgia Critic: Specializes in ranged combat with his gun.

The Helldragon: Aireal combat, and fire spells as his ground attacks.

Mike Nelson: Uses his inventions and robots to deal massive damage on the ground. In the air, he throws things at enemies, such as forklifts, theater chairs, and popcorn.

Michael Swyer from Retsupurae: Hand-To-Hand combat. Can also use his voice as sonic attacks to blast the enemy away.

Harry Potter: Uses long-range spells, that often cause chase attacks and can vary greatly in variety.

Angry Video Game Nerd

Yatzee Can turn his body into devestating weapons, du to being a stick figure. These include swords, guns, and portal guns.

Warriors of Uwe Boll:

Douchey Mc Nitpck: Uses his troll powers to terrifying effect.

N Tom 64: Uses his puns as devestating status effect spells, and his tea as water-type attacks.

Pearl Forrester: Hangs back, and uses her minions for combat.

Electrical Beast: Uses electric attacks and rapid teleportation to confuse his enemes. His relationship to Slowbeef is similar to that of Cecil and Golbez in Dissidia.

Ebony: Kefka, but with bobs boobs.

The Irate Gamer

The Fanbase: A mass of disgruntled fans that speaks in the 2nd person, and uses the skills of it's collective in combat.

Will edit as I think of more.
